The Luster AviarX3 offers a firmer feel and enhanced stability thanks to its stiffer, more translucent blend. This version of Innova’s most overstable Aviar mold maintains its line even in extreme headwinds. The Innova Luster AviarX3 is ideal for players who need a torque-resistant putter with added visual shine.

The AviarX3 is a decent overstable putter.  I have used the Luster Champ and Star versions and liked both, but liked the feel and flight of the Luster the most.  The blunt nose and flat top (almost puddle top) makes the AviarX3 feel way more bulky than other Aviars.  All of this makes for a beefy approach disc that fights wind and is very reliable.  The overstability makes it great off the tee, as well as reliable for long approach shots.

I mostly throw it backhand because I can't seem to get a clean release forehand, which usually has results in a good flutter.  Because of the this, I decided not to bag the AviarX3.  I'm sure this is more of a fault of the archer and not the arrow, but it just isn't for me.

The Luster AviarX3 is by far the most reliable disc in my bag. It's my workhorse forehand approach disc. I use it for hyzers, baby anny-flex shots, and long straight shots that check up at the end. I also throw this backhand, but it is more of a utility disc in that regard.

Out of the box, the lack of glide is very apparent. Despite the Luster plastic being very durable, it does begin to glide more with use and I mean this in a good way. I'm still giving them a 2 glide because they definitely drop out of the air - to me at just the right time. I used my 2 lusters all season on very rocky courses and they don't have any gouges, just some cosmetic scuffs.

I picked up an XT to start using in the cold weather, but the Luster has enough flex that it doesn't seem too hard even down to the low 40s. I highly recommend this disc!
