The Ra out of the box is a great overstable midrange. It doesn't have as much glide compared to other "overstable" mids such as the BuzzzOS or the Roc3, but this allows it to push a bit further in distance. I usually throw my ra when I need something that has a reliable fade a the end of a 270' flight. I have thrown it in I blend, C blend, metal flake, and MF glow plastics and they all flew similarly at the beginning but beat in differently...

I-Blend: Great out of the box. Can fight the wind and will not be as glidey. Once beat in it is dead straight with a reliable hook a the end that is stronger than your typical straight mid (ex. Buzzz, Truth, Hex, etc.).

C-Blend, MF Glow, and Metal Flake: All of these plastics seemed to take the same amount of time to beat in. The C-blend may have taken the longest by a small margin. All flew the same new. The C-blend is now a dead straight flyer that can be hyzer flipped to flat in wind.

Overall, the Ra is a great overstable mid, but those who have 400'+ with mids will probably think its not overstable enough.

Surprisingly great mid range. It can handle a full rip into a headwind without flipping over (something that none of my mids can do including a campion roc3). Also it can easily fly over 300ft (up to 375') and made me wonder if I could use it like a fairway driver too. If thrown at moderate speed it will fade out around 250 with a good flight path. So it can fill both the overstable mid and the straight fairway slots.

This is one of those midrange style discs I look for as a forehand dominate player because of the comfortable feeling in my hand on a forehand grip. The rim doesn't bite into my fingers and the bead is comfortable compared to other mids when held with a forehand power grip. This disc can also handle a fair amount of torque and be thrown with some power behind it and has a fair amount of fade at the end of the flight.

(Disclaimer: I am still relatively new to the sport, having first picked up an Innova starter pack 6 months ago)

I received this as part of a Mystery Box and having spent some time with it have found it to perform as advertised. Given that my home course is heavily wooded with no significant requirement for long drives, my bag is primarily composed of mid range discs. Prior to the Ra, my go to was my Opti Anchor, which I can consistently throw 200-250 with decent accuracy. What I like about the Ra is that it is incredibly similar to the Anchor. It holds its line and generally does what I want it to do. As far as I am concerned, this is all I can ask of a disc.
