I have really enjoyed using this disc. Was looking for a good midrange overstable disc, and this has not disappointed. I feel it is very true to the the flight numbers provided by infinite discs. I have been able to get longer approaches with this disc, and haven't lost my accuracy.

The Ra is a good overstable midrange that has a great hand feel (the hand feel is what stuck out to me and made me buy it) and is fairly accurate to its flight numbers. The only thing that I disagree with when it comes to the flight numbers is the glide. I do not think that it has as much glide as other discs labled "5-4-0-3." The flight is predictable and definately does the job it is designed to do, just with a little less glide that most other discs in this slot, which depedning on what your are looking for could be a good thing.

    Disc: 180g C-Blend Ra (Blue), Run 3

Feel: The Ra uses Innova's VTech rounded rim with a medium bead, with a feeel similar to a VRoc or Lion. I prefer beaded mid ranges, though the rounded rim does not feel great for me. The top has a slight dome. When looking for an overstable mid range I would like it to be comfortable for both backhand and forehand, but the Ra was not ideal for either for me.

Flight: My typical mid range distance is between 240 and 260 feet. My rated flight numbers: 5/4.5/0/2. For me when thrown flat the Ra held straight for most of the flight with a fade most similar to an Innova Lion. On hyzer it held a pushing lion with a nice finish. On a slight anhyzer it held the line for half the flight with still fading at the end. When thrown into a headwind it did turn over for me. The flight sits between a stable and overstable mid range and does not quite fill a slot for me.

Overall: If you are looking for a stable to overstable mid range and prefer a round beaded rim, this could be great, though it won't make the bag for me. I hope to see a new overstable mid range mold from Infinite in the near future with flight numbers along the lines of 5/3/0/3.

Very similar to a Roc3, not surprisingly.  Makes a great choice for that slightly overstable mid-range slot.  Very comfortable in the hand with a reliable straight to fade flight.  Beefy enough for most headwinds.

I ordered a limited edition Ra because of the awesome stamp. The disc itself was pretty gummy and comfortable in my hand. It flew very similarly to a Roc3 for me (throw mids up to 300 comfortably). Very straight to fade midrange. Would definitely rate the fade a 2 instead of 2.5 for my arm speed. Do not currently bag the Ra but it's a great disc and I enjoyed throwing it. Would be a good choice for a beginners on windy days.

Excellent midrange for the infinite disc lineup. Flies like I would expect a Roc3 to fly with a touch of stability and good glide. It isn't quite as stable  as advertised however it is still a great flyer with a nice flat top and a smaller bead the a Roc so its very comfortable in the hand.

Right out of the box went out to the field and launched it 300ft. Got it up to 350. It handles power amazingly, holds that straight line or hyzer and just goes. Totally under rated. Wow killer freaking disc.

This disc finds itself in between a true midrange and an approach disc in my bag. The newer runs (especially Run 3) are the most stable than previous ones (which I prefer from a disc like this). When getting it up to speed, it has a lot of mid-flight carry with the fade kicking in a little more aggressively than my Champ Roc3. As such, it is a decent option for headwind midrange shots, or overall distance control. With the baseline plastics, it could likely hold up to being a great mold to cycle for multiple shots!

This disc doesn't fly the farthest, it doesn't have great glide.  It does have a nice level of stability though.  It will go straight and finish with a decent amount of fade, but not an exceptional amount.  It's a mid you can throw in a headwind and expect good results. I replaced a Drone, which had too much fade for me, with this disc.  Very happy with the switch.

A great "workhorse" mid for many players. Definitely has a Roc feel in the hand, and that's a good thing! Flat top provides lower glide for more accurate shots. My primary mid is the Truth and this is a great compliment to that. Where the Truth will keep gliding and hold straight, the Ra will settle into a smooth, predictable fade. I can definitely see bagging several of these in various stages of wear to get a complete lineup.

I can't believe it has taken me this long to review the RA.

I received this last year as a mystery disc add on to my order. I was nervous about spending money on a mystery disc but I was more than pleased when I tried out the RA. This is the first Infinite Disc mold I have thrown and it definitely won't be my last. I have seen others compare it to the Roc3 or Buzz and I would completely agree. Since Roc3 is my favorite mid-range and I carry a few in my bag this disc fit perfectly in my bag and is still in it a year later. It actually replaced one of my other discs to secure a spot in the bag.

I would highly recommend this disc to anyone who wants a fairly straight flying mid-range and is wanting to try an infinite discs mold for the first time.

If you like the Roc and the Buzzz this is the perfect marriage between the two. It's flat, glidey, and fast like a Buzzz, but has a little more overstabiltiy like a Roc. It's the best feeling mid-range I've felt and has the best flight for my power for those straight to slight fade type flights. Highly recommend this thing!

Having so much success with the Anubis, I thought i would give this disc a try as well.  At first I wasn't real happy. I've never been a champion plastic fan and it was just a little too over stable, but with time has come to be that perfect not-so overstable mid range in my bag.  It replaced my Roc3. I'm hoping that an I blend is in the future. My mid range discs are now all Infinite Discs.  The Anubis, Chariot and Ra will never leave my bag..... and the other bonus, they cost less than the Mako3, Buzzz and Roc3 that i replaced them for.

This is a very versatile mid-range disc. It has the stability to throw with a decent amount of power without flipping over, which is great off the tee. For shorter up shots it has a very reliable fade at lower speeds. When thrown with anhyzer angle it glides right without turning over. Great mid for everyone!

I have found the Ra to be reliably stable. It's not going to dump when thrown, but instead, reliably fade out. I use to for shots off the tee and approach shots to the basket. The bead, while decent size isn't too distracting as it fits nicely in my hand. It creates a seamless grip and generates a smooth release. For straight to stable mid range shots, I reach for the Ra.

I love this Disc.  I first bought a VIP Ra test disc just to give it a shot, today I am ordering a third.  My 12 year old has good results with this disc and really liked it, meaning this was the only disc he threw all day, which meant I needed another.  Because anything that I really love I need 2 in my bag in case I lose one.

When I started playing I used the Truth and the Buzzz.  Both are great midranges and have expected results. But the Ra throws so much nicer then either of those.  it feels good in your hands and loves to go straight, until it slows down.

The fade I have experienced with this disc is difficult to describe.  It seems to just softly change directions.  which is my only complaint.  The Ra doesn't seem to want to stick the landing when thrown flat  It will often skip when it hits the ground and this adds another 10 feet of travel.

With that being said, this is my favorite disc in my bag at the moment. This is the closest disc to actually throwing a frisbee.  Its great for beginners, it goes where you throw it, every time.

I got a max weight c-blend and it has more turn and less fade than I expected.  For me it flies like a Roc but finishes with a more forward fade.  Easy to hyzer flip to flat and still get some fade at the end.  Thrown hard and flat it turns and ends up straight.  Very good disc but does not standout to me.  I love the vRoc rim... this feel worlds better in my hand than any Roc.

This disc is awesome.  Its a mid that can be thrown far and still have some fade at the end.  For players with touch, they can even flick this disc and get some reliable fade out of it.  This disc quickly found a place in my bag between a roc 3 and my gator.

The Ra has become my go mid recently. I’ve been practicing with it a lot lately and finally put it in the bag for tournament play. Wish I would have done it sooner! Very comfortable in the hand and easy to release flat. The flight is very predictable and the disc can handle full power throws easily. I’d give the flight rating a 5, 4, -1, 2.5. With a firm controlled throw the disc drifts a little to the right and then has a very dependable end of flight fade back to the left for a RHBH player. Not too much ground action - doesn’t  skip far. Likes to sit by the basket!

I love the Ra! This is my new go to stable midrange. This disc is very comfortable in my hand. It has a decent sized bead and slimmer profile than a Roc3, but a pretty similar flight.

For backhand throws the Ra is flys straight but then fades pretty hard and consistently at the end of the flight. It is a little bit more overstable than the Chariot, and definitely fades harder at the end of the flight.

I love throwing the Ra forehand. The thinner profile and flat top make it very consistent and comfortable for me. This is definitely my favorite midrange, (that isn't Justice overstable) for forehand throws.

If you're looking for a solid all purpose midrange, try out the Infinite Discs Ra!

The Ra is a beaded, flat top, stable to overstable midrange by Infinite Discs. Imagine an slightly beat in verdict with a bead.

    Feel in the hand:
The disc is extremely flat topped. Like a Zone, or RocX3, this disc is flat pretty much all the way across the top of the disc. This lends itself to a relatively thin feeling disc, but to me it still a normal midrange depth. Not too deep, but not too shallow either.

The Ra is beaded, with a convex bottom wing similar to that of Vroc. This paired with the RocX3 like top results in a fat feeling in the hand. I really enjoy this disc in the hand, it really fills out nicely and I feel like i can get a really good grip on the sucker. For forehands I had some difficulty getting really clean releases due to the somewhat large bead on the bottom, but if beads dont bother you then this will likely be a quick fill in the bag for you!

    Plastic Types:
The Ra (at the time of this review) is available in 2 types of plastic. C-blend and Metal Flake C-blend.

C-blend - most stable plastic blend available

MF C-blend - Not a huge difference, just a tick more high speed stability. Only really noticeable in a head wind.

    Flight:
This disc is nice and stable! My current goto mid for anything that needs to finish left is a verdict. For reference, I bag (in order of stability): A2; 2 verdicts (new and seasoned), a chariot, and a d-blend anubis. In my bag the Ra would be just between the seasoned and new verdicts. I find this disc to be a wind fighter, and the low glide helps to really keep this disc on line and low. The Ra flys pretty long and straight for 80% of the flight and then has a pretty solid fade right as it starts to lose it's speed/loft.

    Ground Action:
I played around with this disc in the wooded parts of our course and around some of the trickier greens. This disc doesnt get as big of a skip as justice for instance, but the skip is there. I would liken it to the same little hop you can get out of a buzz, or emac truth.

    Skill levels:
    Rec.
    - Very OS Utility midrange

Int. - Reliable OS utility/approach mid

Adv. - Straight to stable mid that can handle a good bit of power and most headwinds

Pro. - Dependable straight flying, left finishing mid-range. Great general use midrange, suits well for seasoning and rotating in/out of the bag.

The Ra has been an automatic addition to my bag. It has a fantastic and reliable flight, and am extremely happy with how this disc came out.

The feel of the Ra is fantastic. I have always wanted to like the Roc family, but I despise the rim on them. Mixing the VRoc bottom on the Rocx3 top made for the perfect feel in this disc. The Ra is one of the best feeling midranges in my hands.

The flight of the Ra is also fantastic. It has a good amount of glide mixed with some reliable fade at the end of the flight. This disc is a great compliment to my eMac Truths that I love so much. I have been trying to find a disc that is as reliable with a touch more fade, and I finally found it in the Ra.

The Ra flies very true and consistent. The bead is very comfortable in the hand for me on backhand; I am not a big fan of beads for forehands. If you are looking for a consistent overstable disc that has a bead look no further. The flight path on this disc is seemingly identical to my Discmania MD4.

The Ra is a stable to overstable midrange from Infinite Discs. This disc offers a great combination of speed and stability, which allows multiple uses for a variety of skill levels. When thrown on a hyzer line, the Ra holds that hyzer throughout the entire flight. When thrown flat, it will hold straight for the majority of the flight but has a predictable fade at the end. When thrown on an anhyzer line, the Ra will fight that line quickly making this a great disc for flex shots.

What separates this disc for me is the grip! While the Ra is comparable to the Roc family of midranges, the grip is much more comfortable in my hand. While a typical Roc seems to have a sharper nose, the Ra has a more rounded edge and bottom comparable to a VRoc. Whether it's a power grip or fan grip, the Ra fits perfectly in my hand.

The Ra went instantly in my bag as it is more stable than my go-to Chariots. Whenever the wind picks up or if I simply need more fade, I'm pulling out the Ra!

This Ra is an immediate placement into my bag. It feels good in your hand and you can put some serious juice on it. The Ra is fairly overstable enough to hold it's line but it's not too overstable like a Drone.

I don't have a comparison for it, which is why it went straight into my bag.

I was finally able to get out and toss around my C-Blend Ra! To start, the profile of the mold is extremely flat with zero dome. The plastic blend is super grippy yet firm. It does have a moderate bead on the rim.

When thrown hard and flat, it goes straight with a mild fade similar to a RocX3. There is no noticeable turn unless thrown into a headwind, even then it holds up fairly well. This is (at the moment) the most overstable midrange Infinite Discs has to offer.

The Ra is the perfect overstable compliment to the Chariot, I highly recommend it!

The Ra is a fairly overstable mid range that can handle a lot of power. This disc has a surprising amount of glide especially for how stable it is. Throw it hard and flat and it will carry straight with a pretty good fade at the end, throw it on any anny and watch it fight back to a slghit hyzer finish. The Ra is a trustworthy disc that you can lean on in all situations.

The C-blend Ra is the perfect dependably stable midrange that can be a staple in any player's bag. The "V" bottom rim is comfortable in the hand and is easy to grip and release. This disc can be thrown with some power and will fade back predictably. This disc feels much more comfortable to grip than the Roc3 to me. It also has a surprising amount of glide!

This disc makes the bag for sure and is probably my favorite in the Infinite lineup!

Very versatile mid-range. Maybe just a tad more overstable than a standard champion Roc3. I found it to fly a similar flight pattern to a Roc3 but a bit different feel in the hand. The V-tech bottom gives it a beefier feel in my opinion, but the flight is not overly beefy. I don't think this is your disc for throwing in a strong headwind, but it's consistent even when some decent wind is present. I found that if I throw it hard on an anny line, it did not come out of it. But when thrown flat it did finish left (RHBH) somewhat hard.

The Ra from Infinite Discs is a forward-pushing, neutral flying midrange with a consistent fade at the end of the flight. After 15-20 throws with it at my home at 7,000 ft altitude, I found it to be faster than expected with more glide than expected. I found myself throwing it 300+ with ease and it always came back regardless of the anhyzer angle I applied. My initial flight rating would be 5/4/0/2.

The Ra is a stable to overstable mid with great glide. It seems to want to break into a fade the moment it starts to slow down. This run of c-blend plastic is fairly soft and almost has a gummy quality to it which provides reliable grip even with quite a bit of morning dew on the disc. This disc would be great for beginners to pros. It is a great addition who enjoys throwing Rocs, Truths or Buzzz's. You will find just a bit more fade than a roc3 and just a touch more glide than your standard dx roc.

This a very controllable, stable mid-range, that can definitely fill a slot in your bag if you need a mid that can combine distance with dependable fade.  If you like Roc3-esque discs, this is for you.

My "Go-to" mid is the Element, which is very slightly understable, so I can get it to go dead straight for a long time, or turn slightly to the right RHBH.  However, I've been struggling finding a good compliment for holes where I feel a mid is appropriate but I need to get a little more left fade at the end.  I've been using the "suspect" from DD for that slot, but there have been times where I needed a little more speed/glide.

The Ra feels great in the hand and flies super smooth.  It reminds me of a Verdict with more bead.  It is definitely not a "beefcake" mid like a Justice/Gator, which I find refreshing.  I can't wait until this is out in more plastics to find out what other flight patterns I can get out of it.

    Definitely making the bag.

The Ra is a perfect midrange for me, I love the Roc3 and was hoping that the Rocx3 or Md4 would be a nice compliment to it.  Unfortunately I was disappointed by both of those molds.  But th Ra is exactly how I envisioned those being.  It handles a lot of torque and likes to fade.  It is the perfect straight to overstable mid range for players with 400+ ft of power.  The V Tech bottom makes for a comfortable feel in the hand for someone who had to learn to like the Roc3 edge.  Overall a really good midrange that could be very versatile in executing a lot of different shots.
