176 gram Infinite Discs Centurion I-blend plastic. I-blend plastic is smooth, easy to grip, and well priced. But it beats in deceivingly fast. It might not get chewed, nicked, and dented like some lower priced plastics but the flight will change noticeably. This could be good or bad depending on your perspective. When I got my Centurion I was trying out different discs to see what I liked and what worked well for me. I loved the Centurion and had a blast throwing it. For the first round or two, the flight numbers were accurate. But it quickly started to turn more, which I liked. For a few months I would call it 7 5 -1.5 1.5. It was forgiving and controllable with a beautiful S shaped flight and flew farther than any other 7 speeds I was throwing. Now it flies closer to 7 5 -2 1. It's still great for hyzer flips and I don't have anything negative to say about it but it doesn't really have a place in my bag anymore. The Discraft Sting fills this spot and does it a little better and more consistently. There are different opinions about this but I like knowing if anything happens to my Sting I can replace quickly without needing to beat it in to get the flight I want. I have tried the Centurion in Halo S-blend and still love throwing it but find it easier to cover all the shots I need with a Teebird, FD, Sting combination. But the Centurion will be the first option if I need to make changes to the fairway drivers in my bag.

This has quickly become my number one fairway driver. I was a big Eagle fan, but this is like a neutral-flippy Eagle right out of the box! It flies the way I hoped an Eagle would.  It will hold the turn, it can be hyzer flipped to be a laser straight shot and it can even be used for a shorter flex shot if needed. Feels amazing in the hand and flies even better!

I had an Infinite Discs gift card and decided to use it to snag some new discs to try out for my birthday this summer; since Infinite Discs were on a sale at the time, I picked some of those. The Centurion has a good feel in the hand -- both shape and grippiness -- and in field work, throwing sets of discs back and forth multiple times for comparison purposes (i.e., both into and with the wind), I've been very pleased with its flight shape and distance. It has frequently been among the farthest-flying, straightest control drivers I've got. In the right wind conditions, it's not been too far behind my distance drivers. For whatever reason, I don't tend to use fairway drivers as often as either distance drivers or mids, but this one has made it into my bag currently. I haven't had it too long so it's hard to compare the durability of the I-blend plastic with some other grades (from the same or alternative brands), but so far so good: flight stability has remained consistent, and little to no sign of wear & tear. While beginners might do better in general with slightly more understable discs, they'll still need some with a bit more stability for different conditions, and the speed and reliability of the Centurion would, I think, make a good choice for them.
