The Voodoo is a straight flying stable putter made by Gateway. In premium Evolution plastic, the Voodoo has a completely unique feel. It is soft and almost sticky, especially for your thumb. The Gateway Voodoo is available in all the Gateway Putter blends including soft (which is actually pretty hard compared with soft putters made by other manufacturers), super soft, super stupid soft, and evolution.

Imagine this disc as a Gateway's version of a Discraft Luna. You'd be surprised with how similar they are, although these are slightly more overstable.

Highly recommend if you're looking for a new throwing putter to try out!

Right out of the gate, I should admit that most of my problems with this disc probably result from the plastic. I own over a dozen Wizards and my least favorite is in diamond plastic. I am normally very impressed with Gateway putters, both with the molds and the customization options. The 177g Diamond Voodoo is an exception.

The plastic is very stiff and somewhat slippery. I've thrown gateway drivers in the diamond plastic and don't find them slippery. The voodoo however is quite deep, has a very round nose, and a significant dome. This combination makes the disc so round that I feel like it could just fall out of my hand. Maybe someone out there likes super rounded nose with a dome. If so grab one of these. There is also a microbead, which is one of the better features of this disc in terms of feel.

As far as flight goes, I think the numbers are fairly accurate. It might have a touch more fade than a 0, but that could also be a function of the Diamond plastic. If this disc has anything going for it as a throwing putter, I think it is the torque resistance. On a good flat release, it won't turn over without a lot of power. The flight reminds me of a standard Innova Aviar P&A, but I can't quite get the same distance out of the voodoo. It is too deep and rounded to be comfortable for forehand throws. I could see myself using this as a putting putter, but not in this plastic.
