The Gateway Shaman is a putt and approach disc with a very thin profile. This thin putter is like a beadless Chief, or a slimmer Magic. If you like thin putters, but don't like beads, you'll like the Shaman.

I've got a whole mess of Shamans - I bought a stack from Gateway in suregrip a while back for practice since I wanted a shallow putter (I used to putt with puddle-top Summits, RIP Vibram's disc golf line). Picked up an SSS one recently for touchy approaches and less skip.

Most will throw this as a driving putter or approach disc, and it's great at that. On approaches, it's very straight, and good for little forehand flicks or tossing backhand. Thrown hard, it's got a bit of turn, so it benefits from a bit of hyzer for the flip to flat line, maybe with an s curve depending on your release. On approaches, it's a speed 3 and it throws like one - it's easy to overcook shorter approaches if you aren't careful.

As a putting putter, if you want a shallow putter this is a good option. Releases clean, and flies predictably straight. I never have issues with spitout, suregrip plastic grips the chains nicely and is honestly one of the best putter plastics out there. Exceptionally grippy. Doesn't float too much because of the profile, so you might need to push a little harder if you're used to glidey putters. I bag 4 right now, one to throw, two for putts and short approaches and one lightweight organic one for "go for it" putts. The light one hasn't really done much work yet, so I might cut it from my bag, but that's how things are sitting right now.

Found a spot in my lineup pretty quick. It has taken a lot of my approach shoots from my mid-range away. A little too thin to become my full time putter but it has a good feel in hands so it sometimes steals shots away from my Wizard.

The Shaman is a very straight flying beadless putter from Gateway. If other Gateway putters are a bit too deep in feel to you, the Shaman may be the disc for you. This thing is low profiled, almost too shallow for my taste. Flight wise, it has a nice straight flight with a little bit of soft fade at the end. It really does throw nice. It putts fine as well if you like the feel.

I love this putter. Has a nice flat top and awesome graphic! I have even gotten compliments on it when I play with others. I get a few kick-outs and chain-outs but I feel like that would happen with any putter. I switched to this instead of my voodoo

I put primarily with an overhand, or "turbo putt" style. The low profile of the Shaman is ideal for putting within that style, and the disc's low rim makes it perfect as a driving putter or for approach shots, either forehand or backhand. Very easy to throw, and very reliable. Couldn't ask for more in a putter.

The Shaman is a very thin, flat putt and approach from Gateway. It's wing is flat and blunt feeling with a good grip weight. As a putter, the wing is just a little more shallow than that to which I am accustomed,  but as a thrower... I find myself reaching for the Shaman quite a lot on the fairways. It comes out superclean on low and mid-snap throws, and with an 8 o'clock hyzer it flips up and glides to a 2o'clock (maybe 2:30) flat landing up to 250-275'.The beauty is you get that smooth anny line with low-power as well. Just a soft flat pull gets you to that 2 o'clock landing as well. And the hotstamp is pretty cool, too. In summation, I found the Shaman to be immediately useful in my bag, comfortable and consistant.

Just started putting with this late into the season as my putters seemed to let me down by chaining out a lot with the cold weather. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of this putter. It has a seemingly wider surface area than most of my putters and a very flat top. I found it to be very dependable for inside the circle putts. When driving with it I found mine to stay very stable through moderate wind conditions. Overall I think this putter deserves a try to be in your bag.

This is a little longer than a putter, but shorter than some approach discs. It is understable enough to turn right on soft throws.  The flight chart shown here doesn't seem correct.
