The Gateway Ninja is a newer version of the old Ninja and was PDGA Approved (4/2017).

The rim has been downsized to fall within PDGA limitations, and a textured grip has been added to the top, outer edge of the disc for a unique feel and great control, even in wet conditions. It is still a sharp-edged distance driver, but not the quasi weapon it used to be.

A good disc for slightly higher speed arms to throw for distance. The sharper edge nose isn't bad, and the rim is comfortable to grip. Great for flex shots.I have an Evolution one with the edge that is kinda bumpy and a diamond one that doesn't. I don't see a lot of difference in flight between the two.

The new version of the Ninja looks like the Gateway Apache (fairway driver) with a ring of slightly rougher (i.e., grippier) plastic along the top near the outer rim.  I am getting excellent distance and stable shots with this disc. Like the Apache, there is a slight turn in the flight but overall it is a pretty straight S flight. I will pick up more Ninjas at some point. It's a very accurate fairway driver. Expect a significant dome which isn't a negative for forehand or backhand grips with this particular mold.

Update: My newest Ninja has the following flight numbers 9 5 -1 2 on the stamp. This is close to the Apache flight numbers.  Interestingly, the Prodigy H3v2 looks similar and flies similar to Apaches and Ninjas.

This is a great disc. It's similar to a Champ Beast but with a little more HSS.

This Retooled mold is wonderful, They've scaled the numbers down to 9/4/-1/2 now instead of what is showing on this site. Its a little domey but the plastic is grippy and gummy and tuff. also the top outer rim has a new grit on it possible for drag reduction? Not sure but this disc flies very straight and has a dependable fade. It takes sidearm throws pretty well even if you over crank it will slowly fight back. I will be bagging more of these.
