The Journey is another of Gateway's long range driver.

The Journey has a low profile and long wing for speed, and a perfect transition from the nose to the flight plate allowing it to have a long straight controllable flight with just the right amount of overstability. It has enough resistance to turn for the big arms, but it's not too overstable for the slower arms and newer players. Players of all skill level should be able to make the Gateway Journey one of the longest throwing discs in their bag.

I love the journey. The plastic is very comfortable and the flight is both consistent and easy going for those new to the game. The RHBH thrower will love this disc as it moves nicely through the flight path and lands just about where you expect it to.

The Journey has been great in my bag for sidearms and short fades.

The journey is a stable disc that has a very straight path with more turn than fade. The plastic is similar to innova champion plastic, infinite c blend and discraft z plastic but much grippier. The journey is very good for both forehand and backhand but I mostly use this disc on a backhand off the tee especially if the basket is straight ahead about 250 ft to get an easy birdie. This disc can be used for most beginners to learn how to throw a distance driver with control over speed and release. I would put this in just about anybody's bag.

HD Journey 174g

First off, the plastic.  The plastic is amazing!  It molds slightly flatter and has better grip than almost any plastic.  Similar to a grippy Pro plastic from Innova, but firm.  Oddly enough, even though it's flatter, I feel it's a hair less stable.  Like -1.2 turn instead of just -1.

Second, the disc.  I already did a review on this but wanted to submit one for HD now.  It's a super controllable driver.  High speed, high glide, controllable turn, low fade.  Straightest driver on the market for anyone not throwing 400+ consistently.  For those big arms out there, this makes a perfect long turn over driver.

Best way to sum up the Journey:   Control
