    Platinum Details

Evolution Platinum is a fantastic ultra premium plastic blend by Gateway. The plastic offers a unique metallic shine that not only looks good, but it is also incredibly grippy and flexible (you can literally fold a Evo-P disc). This plastic blend is especially recommended for playing disc golf when it's cold outside.

I like most of the Gateway molds I have tried, but I was disappointed with the Diablo.  I was looking for a somewhat glidey and overstable 9 speed, but the Diablo I bought in Platinum plastic was not very overstable and had mediocre glide.  Whenever I threw the disc hard on a slight anhyzer, a type of shot that a Thunderbiird or a similar disc would flex out of, the Diablo turned over and hit the ground after not gliding very far.  i also didn't like the hand feel, it seems to have a larger diameter than some other 9 speeds, it just felt a little big and bulky in my hand.  I tried throwing it forehand a few times and it wasn't stable enough to hold up very well.  Thought this was a swing and a miss from Gateway.
