I really liked the Diablo from Gateway. This is a distance driver that flew similar to a Wraith for me. It had some turn when powered up, but a strong consistent fade at the end of the flight. It also had some decent glide and really got down the fairway. This could really turn into a workhorse type distance driver.

This disc isn't quite as fast or overstable as they say it is. I couldn't throw it very far, or with that much accuracy. The disc itself feels okay, but it just seems to fly a bit... slow? When thrown it seems to just meander down the course instead of launching out of my hand. It does flip a bit at the start. I'd give it a rating closer to 9, 5, -2, 2.

It's a fun disc to try if you want something different. I just couldn't get it to be consistent.

Hmm, I'm not sure about the speed rating on this disc. I went to test it, thinking of it as a speed 12, though the rim feels a lot more like a fairway driver. Maybe in the old-school, early disc-golf days when wide rim, high-speed drivers were not really a thing yet, this could have served as a distance driver? But certainly not for me, compared to what I have in my bag now.

I'm not saying it is a terrible disc, because it flies fine, but certainly not for the distance I expected. No matter how much power I put into the disc, I couldn't get it to go much further than 250 feet before it lost momentum and skid to the ground. There wasn't too much overstabilty or understability for me. In fact, it usually flew low and straight. If I put a little hyzer angle on it, then I could get it to fly more like an overstable fairway driver.

I think that if a new player wanted a general purpose driver, and they have inconsistent arm speed, this one might be just the disc for them. But for me, I'm having a hard time seeing where it would fit in my bag. Whatever it can do, there seems to be other options in my bag that do it more consistently, and without me having to change my release.
