The Blaze is a very overstable fairway driver. Gateway actually classifies the Blaze as a “fast” midrange disc, but we feel this disc is a little fast for that classification. This disc is great for controlled drives requiring a hard fading finish. The Blaze works well for both forehand and backhand throws, and can handle headwinds.

I've got a 165g x-out Evo blaze and it does not fly like the numbers. It's much like a beaten in Teebird, gets a smidge of turn before fading nicely. Wouldn't throw it into a headwind. Not bad on forehands. I've got it in the bag at the moment on trial, but I'm not sure if it'll stay. This rating could change as I learn the disc more.

I love the Blaze for a great overstable predictable finis. Whether out in the open or needing to finish a tight s shot in the woods, the blaze is the go to disc when you're between shots. A faster version of the demon, I like the blaze from further out than the demon because u can control its speed a little bit more. As the demon breaks in, its speed, glide, and stability vary. Especially in the evo plastic. The Blaze will not break in as much as the demon, resulting in the disc keeping its true flight pattern from out the box for years to come. If you need an inbetween go to disc in your bag right between your go to mid or your fairway driver, put the Blaze in your bag and shave those short, long or maybe shots off your scorecard!
