Do you love the Escape but need more stability? Look no further than the Getaway. While it shares the feel and glide of an Escape, the Getaway boasts a more predictably overstable flight with moderate fade. When straighter flights with a subtle fade are a must, the Getaway is the one to trust.

Great disc. Flies like an overstable wraith or a PD with a lot more glide. Definitely my control driver of choice. Can cover a lot of shots with different plastics. Not quite a head wind fighter even in Lucid X. When there is a strong head wind I disc up to a PD2 or I disc down to a felon. Great in literally ever other situation.

I love this disc.  Goes straight for a long time and then will have a nice healthy fade at the end of the flight. I throw about 300' max.  If I throw it hyzer, I can count on it to have a nice big hyzer flight to get around obstacles.  I can put some anhyzer on it and get a nice big flex out of it as well.  I trust it in the wind.  This is my most used driver.

This disc is a great addition to any players bags, beginner to advanced. It flies like a TD or even a thunder bird in my opinion, but with more distance capabilities. It just glides, glides, glides. A great disc for any player, and one of my go to forehand discs.

I cannot say enough great things about this disc! If you are looking for a lot of glide with a reliable fade at the end, I would recommend this disc. It sometimes goes farther than my distance drivers.

Easily the straightest disc I have ever thrown. This disc is capable of being thrown 400ft without moving more than 20 ft left or right.

This is the best overstable 9 speed fairway driver I have tried, great job DD. It's somewhat of an anomaly of a disc - I've never experienced a disc that glides well but has such high hss and dumps as hard as the Getaway does. This is what I've been looking for in Champion Thunderbirds and PD's, which have all been Firebird stable for me.

Just like how the Thunderbird feels and flies like a beefier Teebird, the Getaway is 100% a beefier Explorer in both feel and flight, but is almost as glidey. I'll reach for the Getaway over the Explorer when there's a big headwind or I need an extra 10 feet of fade or 20 feet of distance. This thing can handle all the power and wind you can give it while still flying straight city. Escape Pro is a fair description of this disc, but it's stability is more than just a tick above an Escape, it's significantly straighter and dumpier, but like I've said will glide almost as well.

Due to the gradual dome and glide I love this disc backhand but am not a fan sidearm.

This is the best fairway driver in disc golf. I am not brand loyal. I will try any disc from any company if it fills a slot I need in my bag. I can confidently say, this disc is spectacular. I have 420 foot distance on my distance drivers if I get a perfect pull on it. For me, the Getaway (fuzion burst, 173g) flies flip to flat with a very subtle fade right, then has a nice smooth finish left for my RHBH. It does not dump left like a normal 3 fade disc would, but it also does not turn over in a light to medium wind. I throw this disc on every drive for 250-400 with a straight or slight hyzer fairway. It goes farther and straighter than all my other 9 speed discs, and even goes farther than my 10 speed Star Orc with similar flight numbers (10,5,-1,3). This is the only disc in my bag that I will go swimming to find.

The Getaway is on a mission to eradicate every other stable fairway mold in my bag. The Convict was its first victim. The Explorer is next, and once I get my hands on a Lucid-X Getaway, the Fortress will be gone too. I have three Getaways in my bag right now: a Lucid first run, Fuzion Burst, and stock Lucid with a pop top, and that's the order of stability for them. I think I got an outlier first run because it flies more like a 9/5/-1/2. Fuzion flies 9/5/-0.5/2. Lucid flies 9/5/0/3. I throw it into headwinds that my Flow can't handle and dont worry about it turning over - except the first run. The Fuzion will glide straight and fade forward while the stock Lucid will just ride a hyzer the whole flight like a "C." I still throw a bio and first run Criminal for utility overstability, but for lower arm speeds, I think the Getaway would be a perfect overstable driver with its combination of glide and finish.

The Getaway is a wonderfully stable compliment to Dynamic Disc's Escape. It has a very similar feel, and the speed and glide ratings are nearly identical. While the Escape flies with a little bit of turn and a gentle fade, the Getaway has little to no turn and a strong fade at the end. It doesn't quite have the glide of the Escape, but it still has plenty to go far.

For an overstable fairway driver, this thing bombs. Great for controllable drives where you need distance and a strong finish. It is my workhorse fairway driver, especially on windy days. It handles all but the strongest of headwinds with no problem, and flies very consistently.

I really like the look, feel, and flight of the Fuzion Burst plastic. In Lucid, this disc is just a touch more overstable.

This disc is pretty amazing. I have never thrown anything that is so effortlessly straight, well actually a couple, but that’s not important. This disc is like a faster teebird, or a beat in Valkyrie. Thrown at full power it will turn over for days, but, let’s be honest, if I need full power, I’m not reaching for a speed 9. So, I throw this disc at about 75% power, and at that arm speed, it turns just a little bit, but doesn’t come back hardly at all, which isn’t only a net straight flight, but an almost perfect “line-straight” flight. The feel in hand is very similar to an escape, maybe a tad more dome than my prime escape, but it is less domey than my Valkyrie. Basically, this disc is like the perfect meeting point between Valkyrie and escape. Note: this is a 5/5 review, sorry but I can’t change it off of 1/5

The Getaway is a stable to overstable control driver from Dynamic Discs. The Getaway has a wider rim than fairway drivers, but was still comfortable in the hand. The Fuzion plastic had great grip and was durable. The flight of the Getaway was more like a distance driver, and I would compare it to an Orc. There was some turn when thrown full power, but significant fade at the end of the flight. When powered down, this disc becomes very stable. This is a disc that, once worked in, could throw a variety of lines, and be a real workhorse in your bag.

I picked up a Getaway, I am loving in.

For me, the Getaway feels and flies similar to a Thunderbird. To have a relatively stable driver is a must in the bag. I release discs on a slight hyzer, and the Getaway will hold that line the entire time. I haven't beat it in to the point that it flies dead straight, but I feel the more I throw it, the more straight it will become.

I love this disc for RHBH flight flex shots. The stability isn't overbearing (not as much as a Felon, but more than an Escape) which allows the disc to slowly fight out of a forced anhyzer and carry. This disc is also very comfortable in my hand. This disc replaced the Convict for me.

I got this disc on recommendation, and I'm loving it. It's one of my go-to forehand drivers, and is quickly replacing most drivers in my bag. It's a great flick disc!

What a fun disc. The shot shaping with this disc is way better than I thought it was going to be. It thought any anhyzer would be shaken off immediately, but the Getaway will ride it out for a while, then pop back strait with a solid fade.

I have a slower arm speed so this disc tends to be more beefy for me. Thrown hard and flat it will have a nice smooth fade through the entire flight. This disc has worked its way into my bag because of this unique flight.

Other players who have thrown my getaways have the disc carry straight than will have a reliable fad at the end.

Another great disc in the DD lineup.

This disc is probably my new favorite driver. I can get around 325 feet when thrown flat, the disc will turn a decent amount but will always fade pretty hard at the end. It feels great in the hand and is a disc I can trust so far, we'll see how it holds up in a few months.

I just bought this disc in fuzion burst plastic and tested it side by side with a tour series star thunderbird from Inovva. I found that both of these discs flew very similar. Both backhand and forehand flew straight with a dependable fade at the end. I was definitely able to get more turn with forehand shots. With flex shots I was able to get some solid distance. I would say in general the Getaway flew 15 to 20 feet farther than the thunderbird. Both great discs with probably keep both in the bag.
