The Convict is an overstable fairway driver that will help you escape from tricky situations. This disc is more overstable than the Escape but not quite as overstable as the Felon.  The Convict is a thin, low-profile disc with a healthy degree of end-of-flight fade.

I don't have any other discs with identical flight numbers to the Convict, but I field tested it with a few 9-speeds with fairly close numbers (more or less 9/5/-1/2), and found that it was ending up pretty consistently grouped with my DD Vandal, Discmania CD1, and Yikun Bi -- all of which rather notably outperform (by 15-35 ft) the Undertaker and Dynasty, btw. I think the Convict feels better in the hand for me than most of these others, its shape and the smooth Lucid plastic making it easier to get the type of clean release I want. The Lucid plastic seems to hold up pretty well. Beginners with more native strength or athletism might do fine with this disc, being able to put a bit more force behind their throws from the outset; others may need to work up to this after developing their throws more with some slower, less stable discs first.

    171 grams Lucid Convict

The Convict is a very nice overstable fairway driver.  It is less overstable than a Felon, but still overstable.  At my arm speed that makes it  great disc for my overstable 9 speed drive spot.  The lucid plastic is nice and durable, but more pliable than something like Champion.

If you can really rip drivers, then you probably need something more stable like the Felon... or an Innova Firebird.  I might compare the Dynamic Discs Convict to the Innova Valkyrie.

The Convict is a great mold IF you know what you're getting. This is NOT an OS control driver.

I bought the Convict to fill into that "Thunderbird" slot. The Convict has considerably more turn than a Thundy.

I have no determined that this disc is great for hyzer flip shots in calm conditions, tailwind drives & fast flipping overhands.

It is not a wind fighter, nor is it something to throw big hyzers with.

The Convict's flat top and comfy rim combine to create a handfeel that may be one of the best ever. So a comfy feel & a useful (albeit misadvertised) flight makes the Convict a disc that I use pretty regularly on the course for the above mentioned shots.

I got this disc with the intention to fit between my straighter fairways and my firebird. Something that will fade decently hard and will hold up to a moderate headwind without turning and burning. This isn't the case. I throw around 450' but was throwing these at maybe 50% due to my practice fields size.  Into a less than 10mph headwind they turned immediately and didn't come back. Occasionally they just turned into the ground. Very dissapointed as it doesn't fly anyhting close to its advertised flight numbers.

This disc was instantly one of my favorites when I was first starting out. However, when I became more adept, this disc just doesn't really hold up against other discs that try to achieve the same thing. The felon is a better option if you are looking for a overstable fairway with a good feel, and if your looking for something that will fly more stable with a straight flight I would recommend a instinct from discmania. It fit me well as a beginner, but doesn't suit my game now as an intermediate player

The convict is by far my favorite disc in my arsenal. When I first got the convict, the convict has plenty of fade toward the end of the flight, but as I kept throwing it, the disc began to fly straighter and straighter. Dynamic Discs did a great job making a reliable and powerful disc. My convict that I have feels great on the hand and the release from the disc is amazing as well. I love to throw this disc on an open coarse as well as a wooded one.

On the downsides. This disc is needed with some serious power and doesn't finish very hard. There are also a lot of discs that can fill the role of the convict (Thunderbird, Undertaker, etc.) This disc is also in competition with Latitude 64's Falchion for the best fairway driver in the trilogy series.

Pretty disappointed with this disc considering how much people talk about it. It's not a bad disc necessarily but it isn't what they said it is. Mine is a 174g lucid but it turns a lot with any serious power, and doesn't finish very hard. It's very straight and I'm sure it could be used as a nice control driver in the woods but I already have some old thunderbirds that fill that slot and honestly they do it better. Still scratching my head trying to find DD's stable control driver. Lat64's falchion is a better option for trilogy fans.

I have 3 Convicts in my bag: 2018 GBO Fluid, PP 4x Lucid, and Fuzion Burst. All 3 fly a little bit differently. I tend to throw all of these more on forehands than backhands.

    Fluid

Originally flew even more overstable than a Felon, but it has broken in to be a great overstable control driver. It used to start fading almost as soon as it came out of my hand, but now it glides a bit before fading out. I can usually get a straight 225'-250' with a good fade on a forehand. Would rate a 9/4/0/3

    Lucid

Came out of the box less stable than I was expecting. Still stable enough to not turn over, but it does turn more than I expected to come out as a bit more stable than neutral. Would rate 9/4.5/-1/2

    Fuzion

This is the Convict I am most likely to backhand as it is the least stable. On a forehand, it comes out to be pretty neutrally stable, and on my weaker backhand flies like my Lucid Convict on forehands. For forehands, it flies like 9/5/-1.5/2.

I really wanted to like this disc.  I bagged a couple to support Paige Pierce.  90% of the flight is great.  My only drama is that of the 4 that I've thrown, 3 have been a bit squirrelly at high speeds.  They tend to turn a touch more than I want.  They are fine for the most part but as soon as I hit a wind in my face, they would have a tendency to turn over and struggle coming back. If there was no wind then the disc was gorgeous and flies fairly close to the numbers on the disc.

I've since moved to Explorers and Teebird3s  in varying states af ware for my fairway needs.

I find the convict to be like a longer verdict. I know that some players who have more power might compare it to a EMac Truth but for someone with about 300' of power might find the convict to have a little fade at the end of the flight similar to a verdict. If you are looking for a little more glide I would suggest the Escape. The convict has a very solid feeling that doesn't seem like it would fly well but it flies perfectly. I think this disc is a little too stable for beginners but is a great fairway driver for the more experienced player with a bigger arm.

The first Convict that I had was my go-to driver over the Thunderbird. It was a little bit flippier so for my arm it was perfect.  Unfortunately I lost that one, so I ordered a new one that was a little heavier. You would think that with the only difference being weight that it would be roughly the same stability. I was wrong. The new one I received is extremely flippy. It still fades like how the convict should, but out of the hands it flips like its turn is -2 instead of the -.5 it should be. Maybe its just me throwing harder, but I feel like the disc shouldn't change that drastically. I still bag the disc for big S-shots

The Convict is a very capable, neutral fairway driver. It flies with a nice S curve and has a fairly hard fade late in flight. For a speed 9 disc it seems deceptively long. I was able to hammer it flat and have it S curve to 400' or more a few times. The Convict is one of the few discs that will regularly fly further than I expect.

I dock it a star because it gets really iffy in wind. Despite having a hard fade the Convict will get flippy in headwinds and go all over the place at times. This disc will work for most fairway duties, but throwers with big arms will probably want something more stable for all out rips. The Convict is simply too understable to really hammer on.

The Convict is somewhat like a Viking or Valkyrie. It has good glide and some high speed turn followed by a decent late fade. Anyone wanting more stability than a Convict will probably need a Thunderbird.

This is the fairway driver Ive been looking for!  Just enough turn to let my mediocre arm get a smooth S-turn out of it, but still stable enough to trust in the wind.  I dont have huge hands, so finding a driver that fits my hand is a big deal.  This one is comfortable, trustworthy, and is quickly finding itself used more and more.

This is one of the few discs I feel comfortable throwing FH and BH.  I live in a higher elevation area and it is just a touch too overstable for my backhand, unless I throw it into a headwind.  When I throw it with a FH, I can't go full power, but I do get a real nice S flight out of it.  The feel of the rim, along with the depth is very comfortable.  As this disc breaks in, it will be a great all around disc for me.

    172 g Pink Lucid Convict

I will start by saying that the reason I only gave this disc 4 stars is the same reason I give most Trilogy disc a harsher rating: Their plastic, for me, seems to beat in quickly.

That being said, I really like the Convict! The one I have is super flat and the rim is a good comfortable width. If I had the luxury of having a brand new Convict in my bag for every round, I would. Right out of the box it flies like I always wanted my Teebirds to fly. Very straight, maybe a touch of turn, and a nice healthy fade. As it wore in it became a bit too touchy for me and now I do not use it like I did when it was brand new.

Overall this is a great disc and I would totally recommend.

I'll admit, I didn't give the Convict a try until it got all the hype after Paige Pierce put her name on it. These discs are great to throw, but I'm not a fan of how they fly when beat in. This means I pretty much always have to keep a new one in the bag, which can get kinda expensive. The flight path is money, just a slight bit of turn with a reliable slightly strong finish. Without question the fairway driver I can throw the farthest. Rim feels amazing too, unlike most OS fairways. Check out a Convict today!

Picked up a Lucid plastic to replace my G-Star Tunderbird. I do not have a big arm so wnated something equal to Thunderbird for FH throws. Love the disc, goes straight as an arrow on a low glide and reliably fades out at end. Parked to holes throwing about 280' Higher shots glide and then come down, disc tries to flip up but comes down as expected. As others have said more stable than an escape, but not as overstable as the Felon.

Great for FH and for those with established BH looking for a reliable fade.

A few months after I began playing I picked up the am worlds fundraiser disc at 166g.  At that time this was my meathook disc and was rarely used. It eventually got put into to storage and sat there. Fast forward about 9 months. My arm speed picked up so I thought I would give this another go and fell in love with it. I now consistently bag 2 if not three, all in different weights and wear. What I love about the disc is its accuracy, dependability, and shapeability for both backhands and forehands. I also consistently use it for my thumbers. It is not a huge wind fighter (by Oklahoma standards), but if you anticipate the turnover you are good.

After paige pierce hyped this disc up, I decided to pick it up since I was looking for this slot to be filled in my bag. It has a great feel in the hand, and is a bit more flat than I expected it to be. I can't seem to get a thunderbird or pd to beat in to the degree that I wanted, and the convict ended up being just that. If anyone ever wanted a longer eagle, or if innova ever created an eagle3, this would be it. When thrown with a touch of hyzer it flips up to flat and glides for a while, or when thrown flat it turns a small bit, then has a healthy amount of fade at the end to come back. I threw a saint for this slot for the longest time, but the dome and the amount of glide it has was a bit fickle in the wind unless it was a tailwind, so the convict quickly replaced it. I still love the saint, but this disc is more practical for me in use.

I've never had a disc quite like the convict. With some wear, thrown with 350+ ft of power, it shows a healthy amount of flip, hold, then more fade than you would expect for the high speed (under)stability. Not so much that you can't just add hyzer to straighten it out or anhyzer and height for big flex shots. Great workhorse long fairway. A little fast/fadey to be a true control driver a-la teebird. Great nonetheless.

Let me start out by saying that the Convict is one of my all-time favorite discs. I bagged a Pro Worlds for 6 months before I realized how much I loved it. Now granted, within that 6 months my form and game progressed (I'm less than 2 years in to the sport), but once I figured out how throw this disc I was hooked. It is my go to max distance driver, especially in a head wind. I can release it on a hyzer angle and it will flip up flat and slice through the headwind like a hot knife through butter.

If you haven't tried one out, do yourself a favor and buy one now. If you don't like it, look me up on FB and I might just buy it from you :) That either shows how confident I am that you will like it or how much I love this disc LOL. Go buy one, throw it and ENJOY THE BIRDIES! You'll thank me later :)

I actually found this disc while playing a round, and before returning it to the rightful owner I thought I'd give it a whirl. I was glad I did, because now I always bag one. It feels great in the hand and has a reliable flight path. Works well in the wind with just the right amount of turn before it's predictable fade.
The convict might be a bit of a meat hook for beginners, but with a low speed it doesn't take long to get it flying just right.

The Convict is a pretty cool disc. I was a little disappointed with its ability to fight the wind, but it does what it is intended to do, which is be a straight and controllable disc. I think it could be a great stable driver for new players and potentially a great roller disc for the big arms. I would compare it to a Valkyrie with a little less glide.

I think this disc should be used for tunnel shots. It holds straight on it's line but it is also workable if you need to manipulate a shot. Try one out today!

This is a stable disc.  More so than the numbers say.  I get 0 to -0.5 turn with this and a good amount of fade at the end.  I would say this is DD's version of a Thunderbird but more controllable.  Good straight line and good dump at the end. Perfect for the long hyzer shots.

Wow where do i start....i acquired this disc when i took a family trip to Florida, i had planned ahead and picked a course local to where we were staying and brought three of my favorite discs down with me. While playing Tradewinds park, i met up with two gentlemen that let me tag along with them. Turns out one of them is a vendor that sell Trilogy discs and he sold me a 2015 PDGA convict. initial thoughts were..."meh" its kind of meat-hooky, and i kind of stashed it away for a few months. i dug it back out one day when i was starting to turn over more discs. i threw this thing LASER straight with moderate fade at the end of its flight. Wow i was hooked from that moment on. If i REALLY crank on this disc, it will turn over a hair and turn for a second or two but not enough to make it crash and burn by any means. I find myself using this disc more and more as my game has developed, and boy am i glad i met up with those guys in Florida!

The Convict is the disc I have been waiting for from Trilogy. It is an amazing, strait flying, stable control driver that feels awesome in the hand. Lucid is one of my favorite plastics because it combines great grip, feel, and durability. The Convict in Lucid plastic is a dream come true.

I originally came across the Convict while looking for something "like" a Teebird, or to fill a similar slot in my bag, perhaps with a little more stability. I was given a few options by a fellow disc golfer. In order of stability they were: Convict, Saint Pro, Escape, and (max weight) Theif. The Convict was the disc I had been looking for.

Compared to the Saint Pro, the Convict is a little more stable, and doesn't give me as much flip. It also feels way better in my hand, and releases a lot cleaner. The issue I had with the Saint Pro, even though it too is a stellar disc, is that its overall shape and rim size didn't feel good in my hand, which resulted in inconsistent release sometimes accompanied with minor butterflies. The Theif was another disc I liked instantly, but it definitely had more flip than what I was looking for at the time.

The Convict was the answer, and it is such a good disc. It has a clean profile, with a slight taper up to a moderate dome. It also has a slightly larger rim size than I expected, which works perfectly for me. It is a disc that can hold many lines, but is extremely dependable, with just enough stability. This disc is just as great for forehands as it is for backhands.

If you have been waiting to try a Convict, I highly recommend it. It was the disc I was waiting for from Trilogy. I think it fills a very important slot that Trilogy didn't have a lot of options for previously.

My Convict is the Lucid plastic released at Worlds. Max throws around 375'.

This disc fills my overstable fairway driver slot. The rim feels great and the plastic is great. It is truly as it is described and flies true to its ratings. If I throw it hard, flat, and low it will turn just a touch, but thats not what I use it for (I'm just saying that the 0.5 turn is accurate). Thrown right of the target, it will fly flat and clean until a healthy fade kicks in as it loses speed. Straight and left.

I don't have the BH arm speed for a Felon/Firebird to fully perform, so the Convict being slightly less stable is perfect for me. For FH throws, I'm retiring my Firebird for a Felon. The BH Convict/FH Felon combination is perfectly consistent and reliable for the OS Fairway Driver throws.

So if the Felon is just a little too much for your arm speed, or it spikes when you want it to skip, try the Convict! I'm very happy to have this in my bag.
