The Breakout is a slightly understable fairway driver.  It is recommended for people who like the Escape, but want something a little more understable.  It will hold its anhyzer angle, but without turning over all the way to the ground.  It will fly straight when you need it to - a reliable disc for a little extra distance without sacrificing accuracy.  It feels like a fairway driver, but releases like a midrange.

The Breakout is a neutral flying control driver from Dynamic Discs. The Breakout was very comfortable in hand, with a nice rim size. The Lucid plastic was durable and had nice grip. The flight of the breakout was rather neutral, the disc would go where I threw it. Overall it throws very straight unless your really powered up, then I would get some nice anhyzers. This would be a nice first distance driver for newer players ready to make that jump.

Great Beginner Driver. Only available in lightweights. This disc is so easy to throw. It flies really straight and has a small but reliable fade at the end of flight. I use it extensively in wooded courses. My dad (62) and my uncle (57) just started playing disc golf. The Breakout is their longest and most consistent driver. It is only available in low weight (150s) as far as I know, and it's really easy to get distance with it. As someone with moderate power (more than the old men at least), I can get really easy distance with the breakout.  Love the Lucid plastic too (very similar to Innova Champion).

One of the few discs that I think really doesn't stay in the bag as you get more skilled. The lightweight makes it somewhat finicky. But a fantastic beginner disc.

I think my hand-eye stamped max weight lucid is not typical.  My friend's Breakout is just like the reviews below, but mine will turn into a rhbh roller even with max hyzer on release.  I seldom bagged it except when I needed a fairway roller for manicured fairways.  Experimenting with it, though, I found it is a great understable utility disc.  Its great for tomahawks (lands upside down and slides straight as an arrow another 30 feet).  I can throw thumbers with it that finish right everytime (rhfh)... weird since I can't throw it backhand.  I can use it as a turn-over or finesse flick disc.  And its a good bh roller.  So now, after years, it finally made the bag as a pure understable utility disc and earned 5 stars.  What a comeback story.  Pair with a massively overstable disc for utilitarian, trickshot, nirvana.

This disc rocks! I have to be honest here... I bought it for my wife. She loves golfing with me but she has a small frame and can't handle max weight. I picked this up for her because I throw mainly Trilogy plastic, but once I got out there "testing it" for her, I fell in love with the disc. It's a hyzerflip monster that loves to flip up, flex out, and glide it out. I'm fairly new to the sport myself, just under 2 years in, so I'm still dialing in my "comfortable" weight ranges on discs. Even though 150 can be a tad light and flippy, the 152g Breakout handles most situations, even if there's a light wind. I would recommend this disc for anyone, not just beginners.

Go ahead and buy one! You won't regret it!

I did NOT have high expectations for the Breakout. With it's speed and supposed understability/beginner friendly nature, I thought I would just turn it over and be done with it...a good disc for my daughter.

Boy was I wrong. I found the Breakout to be almost perfectly neutral in calm conditions. Even thrown flat (granted I backed off the power a smidge) the Breakout was crazy, laser beam straight with barely any fade. Oddly, given a small hyzer angle, it would flip to flat for a little extra distance. The Breakout is pretty terrible in a headwind, but this is a pretty great disc for newbies or those with lower power.

This disc is a lot of fun. When you're holding it in your hand, it is light, and feels small. But man is this thing controlable. Really good for medium distance hyzer flips, or shots that you need to go right (RHBH) and come back a little left at the end. Super controllable disc, go get one!

DD beginner s curve distance monster.  This is the first disc I can consistently throw 300ft with.  Not as understable as the Witness so put a little hyzer angle on this thing and watch it s out well over 300ft.  Throw it flat and get a long, more of a 6 rated glide, turnover shot.  Great beginner dinstance driver or intermediate fairway driver, turnover/hyzer-flip disc.

So this disc, above and beyond, is one of the best keep secrets, and or overlooked discs out there on the market right now. Dubbed an "easy to use" and "understable" disc, this disc is vastly overlooked. But let me be the first to tell you, this disc gets the job done, and done WELL. I personally bag one for shots where I don't have a lot of room to run up or work, but I still need to cover some distance, and or shot shape to get myself a look at a putt.

Honestly, this disc in the right hands could be a distance machine. But also could be a super dependable disc for somebody who's just getting out and about to learn the game.

So do yourself a favor, get out, and grab one. Then take it out and be prepared to enoy the heck out fo this disc. It'll do a lot of different things for you, you just have to learn how to manipulate and play with it.

Received a 156g white Breakout from the great guys at Noodle Arm Disc Golf via giveaway and honestly wasn't expecting too much. I like some Westside, but overall, I've not been too impressed by more Trilogy molds and less so by most Dynamic Discs. The Breakout makes me rethink that entire thought process!

Right off hand, the grip hooked me. Very comfortable in the hand, very nice plastic - grippy and the perfect mix between flex and firm - nicely rounded shoulder, fairly narrow wing. Just a good, comfortable fairway.

The flight numbers and weight made me expect a very understable driver, especially being Trilogy as even the most overstable L64s tend to be flippy. However, I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I took the Breakout for some field testing. Trilogy glide, great controllable speed, but no flip. Even when I cranked on it, it would hold solid stability. Not what I'm used to from these brands. After about a half dozen shots getting to know the disc, I started measuring. 300'-320' with very easy control. 340' being my furthest on a hard flex line.

Release flat, the Breakout would have a mild turn and gently float down with a healthy fade. The hyzer line held for money. With the claim of "Understable Control Driver" I didn't expect the hyzer line to be held so well, but again, to my pleasant surprise, the Breakout seemlessly slipped from my fingers and held a solid left arc and ended about 50'-60' left. This versatility makes for a great control driver to clear obstacles.

On anhyzer, the flex line for distance was beautiful. It just feels so effortless to get good distance out of this fairway. Giving about 80% power for control shots, this still easily breaks 300'.

I ended up giving this disc to the gal and she's getting her best distance ever - replacing her Diamond and Avenger SS. The controllable speed and beautiful glide make for a great beginner's driver.

All in all, I'm quite impressed. I'll have to look into Dynamic a bit more now.

    Cheers.

The Breakout really surprised me with how straight flying stable it is. My Breakout, like all the Breakouts currently produced -- is a very light 156g. Because of the light weight and "understable" classification, I was expecting this disc to be at least a little bit flippy. For my first few throws I released the Breakout on a Hyzer angle expecting it to flip up and then go to the right, or at least a straight. Nope. The Breakout held the hyzer angle the entire time and finished far left. After realizing that this disc really isn't understable for me I began releasing it level and watched it fly almost perfectly straight with a very gradual end of flight low speed fade. I was able to get the Breakout out beyond 300 feet without trying to throw my guts out. This is an excellent disc for throwing down long tunnel shots.

The Breakout is really easy to throw, and holds an anhyzer turnover shot very well for a driver. If you're looking for an all purpose driver that won't be too flippy, you may want to consider the Dynamic Discs Breakout.

Was blown away by this disc, not what I was expecting at all.  They're light weight 8 speed fairway drivers that say even say "Understable Driver" but it actually holds and flies REALLY well. With a good amount of power it will hyzer flip into a big turn, and then fade out for a very long drive easily breaking 400'. On a stand still shot it will go EXACTLY where you put it, and hold straight. This disc was not nearly as understable as I expected, but can preform US duties if you want it too. I think this disc will become a stable for begginers who want to see more distance, and even for pros using it as a bail out disc where you dont have room to meneuver, or just a great way to get HUGE amounts of distance with ease. 5 stars! I have never been so surprised by a disc, completely exceeded my expectations. A very welcome addition to my bag.
