The Blackout is a control diver that sheds the heavy weight of oppressive governmental regimes in favor of the survivalist instincts of an apocalyptic future. It is also a straight-to-understable disc golf driver that can be manipulated onto any flight path to accurately place shots along the fairway. It is a favorite for controlled, hyzer-flip drives through narrow fairways that are lined by trees, or narrow streets that are lined by abandoned buildings on dystopian disc golf courses. Whether a seasoned disc golfer or a beginner, the Blackout will become a favorite in your bugout disc bag.

Landfill Details

Landfill plastic from Doomsday Discs is a recycled blend using the shredded remains of other premium discs to create a semi-firm, semi-flexible disc riddled with imperfect colorations and slight flaws. These could be called X-Outs or Factory 2nds, but they're actually recycled and thus made from X-Outs. They're priced cheaper as a good, affordable option for throwing. It's not like recycling will save the world from ultimate destruction, but it can sure make our stay on the planet more pleasant while we're still here.

Overall, this is a great disc, but then why only 4 stars? First, the flight numbers are a little off imo. I have the Blackout in Landfill plastic at 176 grams. However, it's very flippy. It is more understable than a Discmania Essence, which I consider the standard for understable, but controllable, 8 speeds. Second, I don't know if the plastic name (Landfill) is meant literally, but the disc smells really bad. I have no idea why but it's quite off-putting. I won't bag it for that reason alone, it smells that bad. It's the weirdest reason I've ever found for disliking a disc, but it's a formidable aroma.
