The Zombee is a fairway driver that was introduced by Discraft for the 2012 Ace Race. This is a tall, super-straight flyer with a predictable end of flight fade. This disc is like a cross between the midrange Buzzz and the Stalker driver. Discraft gives the Zombee a stability rating of 1.0.

This is a faster Buzzz, but don't let that fool you. This disc can really fly and really be shaped. I think this disc gets ignored because it is in the middle of speeds and what people want in a disc, but it fits perfectly in the mid-range to fairway pocket. Put it on a hyzer and it flies on that line. Put it on the anhyzer and will put a perfect right hand turn. It will fly exactly how you angle it.

New player and have enjoyed this disc.  Easy to grip and the speed rating is good for beginners learning to throw.  Still learning the flight path and how to best use it.  Might recommend the Stalker first then moving to a Zombee.

I think this is probably a fine disc for beginners, but i have a hard time not turning it over. I would expect it to fly like a slightly faster buzz, but mine seems very understable and doesn't out distance my buzz either. Never really found a place in my bag.

The zombee was a great disc for any newer player that I gave it to to try a round with. It is a perfect beginners driver because it is in that tweener speed range of maybe being a midrange but also maybe being a fairway driver. It is something that you can control very well but will give you some extra distance over the midranges you may throw. It is perfectly understable for newer players to have a straight flight with fade. For me I was finding the zombee to be quite understable and I could manipulate it to flip over and continue on the anhyzer line. I could maybe get a straight shot with this disc if I powered down and put it on some hyzer. I think this is a beginners perfect driver because it is slow enough to control and will be very useful for them. But I think more advanced players will find this tweener speed and stability to not be the most useful disc and you may find yourself not using it very often. I do really enjoy how the zombee feels in the hand and that makes me keep it a 4 star over a 3 star. But I think mostly new players will be using and enjoying the zombee.

I have an odd relationship with the Zombee when I first picked it up I fell in love with it. being able to hit lines and it hold those lines was amazing, but over time I found myself picking it up less and less. As your arm speed increases, you'll find that you really won't pick it up as much, or at least that's for me.  Overall I think the reason why I don't pick it up as much is that it is a hybrid so it is not always my first pick when I need a midrange, and the same can be said for control drivers. Overall it is still a great disc that I do recommend for a lower arm speed. As well for players that want a disc that does a little bit of everything. At the end of the day, this is a great disc if you are starting out in disc golf as it offers you versatility in shot selection and control.

I have the Zombee in Z-FLX which certainly is too flexible for a new player. So I going to make my recommendation for Z Line as this is a nice and stiff ultra durable plastic. The Zombee is a hybrid disc that can both function as a midrange and fairway driver. Under lower power you can cut beautiful lines through gaps, and when you crank up the power it will go dead straight to a light fade with only a little skip at the end. Its definitely a disc in your bag that can do the job of two or more, so if your trying to reduce your disc load, then the Zombee may be perfect for you.

I have 2 of these in a super gummy z plastic from the VIP shop but have also thrown the regular Z line and this is a great disc for myself. I am primarily a rhfh thrower but am really working on improving my rhbh game and this disc is straight with a very slight fade at the end. Really enjoy using this at my local course (shout out Chavez ridge disc golf in LA home of the famous Dodger basket) which is a very wooded and technical course where I depend on my zombees often off the tee. For forehand shots flight is more straight w/very slight (if any) fade.

The Zombee is a great disc choice for players looking for an easy to control disc to cover a variety of shots. This disc can really fly any line out of the box without significant power. It feels like a mid range in its size, but also has a driver feel in the blunt rim. I think people looking to minimize molds or just play one discs rounds could really get into this disc.

I love to describe the Zombee as a faster Buzzz. This disc is a bit too slow for me to consider it a driver, but it is definitely faster than most midranges Discraft offers. It has a fatter rim similar to most midranges, but it's more aerodynamic when compared to some more blunt rimed mids. If you enjoy throwing a Buzzz and want something that flies very straight out of the box with a bit more speed check out the Zombee. The Zombee is also pretty good on a finesse sidearm. If you snap it on a hyzer you will see it flip up and ride super straight.

This is my favorite disc in my bag. It is very forgiving and a very straight flier with a predictable right finish (I'm a lefty). When it is really windy out this disc handles it the best out of any other I own. This was my first driver made of quality plastic and I still use it on every round I play. My Zombee rarely skips when it lands as compared to my other discs. It earned its place in my bag on the first throw.

Very neutral disc, maybe a bit less fade than advertised but still a straight flying disc.  I found this one ended more more to the right each time I threw it.  No real complaints, just not very fond of the plastic feel.

Enjoyable disc to toss when it's in it's prime condition. Able to toss in either direction, flick rather straight or hammer with a 180 turn. Steady as she goes.

I got my Zombee in Elite Z plastic and 174 g. This disc is very consistent and reliable. I've been playing a little over a year now, and this is one of the most consistent mid-ranges I have tried (and I've tried a lot). Can always get a very straight line out of this disc with very little but predictible fade. One of the big pluses for this disc is that the flight remains predictible even in moderate wind. Would highly recommend this disc to all newer players.

    :::Update:::

A yeart after I posted the review above, I got my first ACE with this disc!

    Still loving the Zombee :-)

I bought this disc as something to bridge the gap between my Mantis and Buzzz, and this was a solid choice.  I describe it to the guys I play with as the shorter Mantis (they know how big of a Mantis fan I am).  I use this disc primarily forehand, at which it excels, (I throw most everything flick unless its a short approach/putt), but does well when backhanded.  I don't use the disc too often, only a few shots with it per round, but this disc comes through when called upon.  This is a great disc to shape lines, and handled varying degrees of power with consistent flight.

The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I am getting better with midrange discs, thus reducing my need for a disc to bridge the gap between my fairways and mids.  This may not have a place in everyone's bag but I can't bring myself to take it out of the bag, its too good a disc.

This disc is great! I never have a problem getting it to fly how I want it. It holds a line very well.  This is my second choice of a mid-range and I use it when I need more distance that I can't get with my Buzzz.

Alot like the Discraft disc, HORNET, this disc has less fade at the end and is my go to approach disc. The rim looks and feels no different than a Discraft midrange, but regardless its a great disc! Very happy I picked one of these up and tried it out.

I just gave mine away. I used it very little because my midranges would fly just as far with more consistent flight. When I first began playing this disc was perfect for straight shots but as my arm speed increased the use for the zombie decreased. Great disc for beginners and lower arms speeds.

I got one of these via a misprints box I ordered from discraft. Was a huge fan but wound up losing it pretty early on. I had a 177+ weight version that flew and then dropped with moderate, predictable fade.

I received 2 of these Ace Race Versions in Z plastic and from the first throw landed a spot in my bag, it's great for Big Arm throwers who like to Shoot for chains on 200' holes or long controlled approach shots, laser beam backhands. Pretty lethal along side a FLX BUZZZ, ESP Nuke, FLX Nuke SS....

This disc can be considered a long mid-range or a short fairway driver. The flatter models are very consistent flyers and feel like a longer Buzzz. Holds a line very well.

I'm not a huge fan of this disc. It actually works better for me as a putter than a fairway driver, although I will say this to it's benefit: When I throw my forehand with it, It stays f\very straight, and if it gets any fade at the end, it's only the slightest bit. It has done me right a couple times on tight tunnel shots.
