The Zombee is a fairway driver that was introduced by Discraft for the 2012 Ace Race. This is a tall, super-straight flyer with a predictable end of flight fade. This disc is like a cross between the midrange Buzzz and the Stalker driver. Discraft gives the Zombee a stability rating of 1.0.

The Zombee in Big Z plastic is a very nice stable mid/fairway hybrid. Its pretty true to its listed numbers, needs a bit more speed to get going than a traditional 5 speed, but once it gets there it has a very nice baby S turn flight generally finishing straight on flat throws. Its balance of stability and glide makes it very versatile. You can put it on sweeping hyzer lines, hyzer flips, shot shaping S paths, and anny lines that will hold most of the way before ending with a gentle baby fade. Its not the best wind fighter, but it can handle mild head winds. It is an excellent 1 disc round choice, as well as a great beginner's driver.

A Zombee is sort of a hybrid between a midrange and fairway driver.  It's fairly large diameter for a fairway driver, closer to a midrange in that respect, but its rim shape is more like a fairway driver.  The rim depth however is fairly deep, which makes the Zombee rather tall for a midrange.

This disc is more resistant to turn than the flight numbers give it credit for.  It will flip slightly, but won't ever really deviate from its line, and it always comes back.  I don't know what it is about this disc, but it always comes out clean, and I can often out drive my 7-, 8-, and 9- speed drivers with a good throw from the Zombee.  The lack of turn means that it's tough to hyzer flip this disc, but fortunately it flies quite straight on a flat release.

I have this disc in Big Z plastic, which feels great and is very durable.  It's a disc I need to throw more often, because good things happen when I do throw it.

This disc feels more like a midrange than a control driver, it flips and flys straight, I just found it to feel odd in the hand. Beginners will find this disc very useful as it was easy to throw.

I'm loving this disc. It's not a distance disc, but when you need a disc for tunnel shots, or wooded courses, this disc might be a good one. I think a Lepard is more versatile, but this might be a bit more predictable of a disc for those who aren't as consistent with their release as more experienced players. I feel like the Zombee is a little bit underrated for what it is, but it is a great "tweener" disc, as it is barely a fairway driver, and a bit more than a Buzzz mid-range.

I've been using a Big Z Zombee for about 6 months & I think it's a really mold. Mine is near max weight & the Big Z plastic is firm with a very good stamp. It's a very useful disc for me in the woods. Anytime I have a long wooded tunnel shot I reach for the Zombee to stay in the fairway. I have a hard time hyzer-flipping my Stalkers so the Zombee is a great compliment for a straighter shot. I think it's a great choice for players that don't have a lot of power in their backhand. A very approachable mold.

I saw McBeth test the Zombee in his early 2019 'In the Bag' & it looked like it got squirrelly on him. Well, take into account that's the result from a world class backhand putting a lot more snap into the disc than the rest of us. I find it to be stable disc that doesn't require a lot of effort to get flying. The majority of players out there would benefit from a mold like this in their bag.

Very nice disc but as others have said it probably isn't something you go to very often if you are already bagging multiple discs. Flies true to the numbers, a little turn with a slight fade back for a straight flight overall. Glide is nice. I can easily shoot this thing straight for 280-300' with ease. Definitely a point and shoot disc.

Still I bagged it up until I gave it to the gf. It's done nice for her as more of a beginner. The rim has sort of an odd feel to it. Not in a bad way just a bit different. Still comfortable to throw. I used to think of it as more of a mid than a control driver. It really is kind of a blend of the two hence the odd rim. Still if you're looking for something straight in that speed range I've always recommended the Zombee.

I got this disc as a gap filler in between my mids and fairway drivers. The flight is predictable with a small amount of right turn (RHBH) and finish fade. This disc did exactly what I wanted it for, but when I bagged it, I rarely reached for it. I would ultimately disc down or up to a mid or fairway driver instead of going for this disc. Like I said, it did exactly what I purchased it for, which was a stableish flight with distance between a mid and fairway, but I just never gave it the chance during a round. I ended up giving it to friend who was a beginner so hopefully they can get some use out of it for me!

The zombee is a bit of an odd tweener disc, faster than a midrange but not really what you want for a control driver either. In some ways that limits it's usefulness, but I do find myself pulling it out specifically for tunnel shots in the woods. Using in midrange in that situation I'd have to throw it with power to get it far enough, running the risk of holding on too long. A true fairway driver meanwhile would fade out early at such a low speed. Enter the Zombee, I can thrown it flat with not a lot of power and it cruises very straight while also getting deep down the fairway. Very nifty and for now that shot keeps it in my bag.
