Another sorry casualty - great disc for players of all levels. The game has changed when you OOP a disc like this.

I LOVE my Discraft XS Elite X (173g)!  I know my XS is a straight-flying disc I can throw wherever I want.  I can throw this disc high, mid, low, straight with a little hyzer, or really turn my wrist and crank a hyzer bomb.  This is a very stable and dependable disc.  When I need to throw a disc with some oomph down a tree-lined fairway, or between some mandos, my XS is what I reach for.

Once I got my game going and had learned how to throw a disc flat enough to actually see it's flight pattern, the XS in Elite X plastic became one of my favorite discs.  It still felt light enough that it worked for a novice like myself, but I could get quite a bit of distance on it with very dependable accuracy. Once I started to throw harder, I moved up to a heavier Elite Z plastic, but I would strongly recommend the XS in Elite X for players who are new to the game and still building your strength and working on accuracy. The XS stil has a solid place in my bag, and I can't imaging that I'll be replacing it any time soon.

Rating (3 stars) NOTE: Not because of quality - but because I don't feel like it is necessary.

The XS is a recent disc that I wanted to try out. From other reviews, I have just heard a consistent satisfaction from the disc. I'm not disappointed by any means.

Pros: really steady -- reliable flight. I was throwing accurately at distances of 300-350 feet. Some shots reaching closer to 400 feet.Feels good with the grip. A little flippy with flicks, so it actually works pretty good as a medium-long distance rollers. Fade comes late which is always a plus in my book.

Cons: I just didn't see anything too special about the disc. Felt like it didn't have as much glide as posted.

Overall it was just a good disc. I would recommend this to beginners who are looking for a little more distance to their throws, while not jeopardizing accuracy. I'm not sure if I would necessarily recommend it to those who already have their arsenol of discs.

I will be giving this one a few more throws, however, to see how it is while it is beat in.
