The XS is a nice control driver from Discraft. When I tried a fresh XS, I really wasn't a huge fan. It flies a nice consistent s-shot path, but there are so many other discs that do the same thing. When I really started to like this disc is when it broke in a bit. I was able to put this disc on just about any line I wanted. It ended up being a great woods disc for me, but as I said, I have found other discs that do this as well.

The XS in Elite Z plastic still holds a solid spot in my bag. After a few years playing the game, and having used a lighter Elite X verion in my early years, I have come to know my XS like a good friend who I can turn to several times every game to do exactly what I want it to do. Even though I play with a group of friends that likes to blame the disc for every wayward throw, I can't bring myself to blame the XS for anything that doesn't go the way I hoped. If it goes estray, then I know in my heart that it was my fault, because I can't bring myself to blame my old, trustworthy XS.

I can get very good distance with this disc, even though it is listed as a "control driver" rather than a "distance driver". Afterall, it was once the world record holder for distance, so don't write it off as something you can only use on short throws.  I'll never stop using it...though I may have to replace my beat-up, overused disc soon and put a shinier new one in my bag.

This was my first driver, and is still in the bag. Z-plastic is a bit more OS than the X plastic. This disc will beat in to a disc you can carve just about any line with. Overall one of my favorite discs of all time.

This is my favorite all time disc. Like the review said before me, it really shines when it's broken in. I've owned many XS's in my time. One of them was my first Ace disc, one was lost in a pond, and the one I have now holds my record for farthest distance thrown. It soars very far and very predictably, often becoming my go to disc for any situation. In my opinion, a must have.
