My Flight Ratings: 5/5/0/3 Somewhat Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: N/A Straight Score: N/A

The wasp is probably my favorite midrange because it has a straight flight path and is very dependable. I throw about 300-325' (max 350') rhbh and 300' forehand.

It has enough stability to be great for both forehand and backhand in the 270' and in range. I tried forehanding the buzzz and it was too finicky/prone to flipping. With the wasp, I can throw a forehand with slight hyzer and be confident it will go straight and not flip over. It's a great complement to a harp/zone, which fill the short drives or approach shots that require harder fade.

The wasp can easily handle the power of advanced backhand throwers. However, it's great for newer players struggling with backhand form or off-axis-torque (OAT). OAT that would cause a buzzz/roc/truth to turn and burn, with a wasp, will still result in a decent flight distance with a fade back toward center. It's really a disc you can trust, with and without the wind.

It's key to get the ones near max weight for the reliable stability (177+), it's too bad Discraft doesn't do very many production runs and they have become harder to find.
