    Disc - ESP Impact

Feel - The impact has a very interesting feel in the hand as it has some sort of lines that I believe are supposed to provide the extra grip but they are on the bottom side of the rim so you don't really feel them much at all. Otherwise it still does not feel quite like a traditional mid but not quite a driver style rim either. It is almost convex and has a micro bead as well.

Flight - The impact has a really good straight flight with a bit of flip. These discs fly very nice but since they are semi hard to come by these days I would not recommend as a primary mid.

Overall - Good disc but you generally do not see them around too often so I wouldn't recommend it as a go to mid but it has a very nice flight.

This disc continues to not get much love. They used to be sold in lower weights, now all the new ones I see are 175 or heavier.

I got an ace with one, and I had it beaten in to where I was throwing it close to the chains on the regular. I also throw this without hesitating on approach shots.

I think it flies flatter than most discs with tighter high speed turns and fades. Or maybe me and this disc are bonded by some higher power.

It's worth a try if you want to get away from the more popular midranges out there

The Impact is a great, straight flying disc from Discraft. Although it is in the midrange category, it feels more like a fairway driver to me. It can compete with a ton of fairways for distance. This disc doesn't require much power at all to get going, and like many discs in the same category at Discraft, this things glides for days. I really liked using it for flip up woods shots that needed to hit tight gaps. It also holds an anhyzer really well. This is a great, do everything type of disc for newer players to the game.

This is a great disc for beginners- very forgiving even when thrown lightly. It quickly became my favorite disc for consistent straight shots. The disc felt good in my hand right away, had excellent grip, and the ESP plastic has proven to show very little wear. I have two of them now- my first was an Ace Race disc I was lucky enough to find at a pawn shop for $3!

This disc has a tight S-curve with minimal effort, doesn't turn and burn, and will hold an anhyzer line all the way without flipping and rolling. Phenomenal disc for tight fairways 150'-245'. Fast for a midrange. 5.5 speed. Love this disc.

Solid midrange for new and intermediate players

I love this disc! I can make it do whatever I want it to do on a backhand shot. Turn it up, leave it flat, let it down, it will turn the way you want it too. It will hold that line with little to no fade. Great glide too. Easily a 6. I will always keep this disc in my bag. I have only been playing a year but I have never had a disc do exactly what I wanted it to do until I got this disc. I agree if I only had 1 disc to play with in a round, this would be it. More plastic choices PLEASE!!! Z plastic would be nice. Cryztal... customer for life!!

    Another Tweener from Discraft

Discraft makes really fast mids..they fly far, baby! The Impact is no difference...it's almost a fiarway driver, if I'm being honest. It's a very workable discs that could use a little more love from the disc golf community. It's got decent turn and decent fade, which lets you do a lot with it: short rollers, hyzer flips, natural S-Curves...all pretty easy to pull off with the Impact.

I would say this is closer to a fairway driver than a midrange.

    6.5 / 5 / -1 / 1 is what I would give it

It's one of the straightest flying discs I've ever thrown.

Really cool, unique, the hash-marked rim does seem to help keep this thing level and going.

I would say this is a good disc for an Intermediate player trying to work on form or trying to hit a very straight long mid-range shot.

Great utility disc that really flies under the radar. First off I'd like to point out that this thing is definitely closer to a 6 speed than it is a 5. I have a 172g that is really nice and tacky in the ESP plastic. It'd be cool to see this expanded to Z
Profile on this disc is definitley unique, as the bottom part of the wing has some cross-hashing kinda thing goin on, which if you're getting your finger on the inside of the wing for throwing controlled mid tosses, it feels good. The wing is also rather small, but comfortable for me.

When you rip into this disc you definitely will get some turn on it, but if thrown flat it will fade back to the point you shot it at. I would gladly play a one disc round with this thing any day.

    Pros:
    - Controllable S shots
    - Untility disc for shot shaping
    - Bridges a gap (if there is one) between a mid and fairway.
    - Unique bottom wing mold for added grip

    Cons:
    - The thinner wing might be hard for someone with larger hands to get a hold of.

I bought this disc on a whim and it now becomes the most used disc in my bag. The ESP plastic and the shape of the rim feels perfect in my hand. This disc flies dead straight with finess throws and will have a tiny s bend with a nice drive. If you give it a full drive it will turn over very slowly and finish straight. A great disc for any player and it is good at such a variety of shots you will reach past your other discs again and again.
