The Captain's Raptor is a modified Raptor. It has a similar feel to the Raptor, with a flat top and a similar rim. This disc is designed to be more overstable than the Raptor, providing a beefier version that can slice through the air and provide an even more reliable flight. This is a disc that will be reliable in even more adverse weather conditions.

Discraft plans to make this disc once a year. Each year it will feature a new stamp.

If you're looking for a slightly slower Nuke the Z Confetti Caprap is perfect. I exclusively throw it forehand and can get pretty much the same distance with this disc as an ESP/Big Z Nuke with the same amount of effort. The Z Confetti plastic feels a little more slick compared to something like ESP, and it has a nice stiffness to it. I really like the shape of the rim and the top edge of the disc. In this blend at least it has a slight concave shoulder on the top where your thumb rests for a forehand throw (similar to a scorch, but less prominent), which makes it really comfortable to me. I'm guessing it will take a long time to beat in, but that's fine for me as I like to throw my forehand with a little anhyzer for a slight s-shape flex shot.

I don't agree with the +1 turn rating for this blend of plastic, as if I throw it completely flat it will hold straight for probably 100-150ft before it starts fading, but when it does fade it will fade hard, so +4 is probably pretty close for fade, although I think +3 would be more accurate. I've heard from other players that the 2026 Z Confetti run is a straighter disc compared to previous years, which adds up for me compared to my expectations of it being extremely overstable. If you need an extremely aggressive fading disc maybe try to find one of the previous years Z Swirl blends.

I also think the Z Confetti blend has a bit more glide than the numbers imply. Maybe a 3.5 or even 4 instead of the 3 rating it's been given. I wonder if companies should start adjusting the flight numbers depending on the plastic blend.

The 5th edition Captain's Raptor (Z Confetti) has more glide, and a straighter flight than the Z Swirl CapRaps. Honestly this new CapRap might just be the perfect replacement for Discmania Doom Bird 4s.
