The MD5 is overstable. No wind or shaky release will change that. If you are looking for a dependable, no questions asked, goes where you tell it to go midrange with an awesome feel, look no further.

NOTE: The Innova made and Discmania made MD5's are VASTLY different in hand feel. The Innova made ones felt similar to a Gator, with a large, chunky rim and a bead. The Discmania made ones feel much more like a modern midrange. The shape of the rim is comparable to a 5 speed Zone. Please specify which one you are talking about in the reviews.

    For reference, the specifications for the Innova-made MD5 are D: 21.1; H: 1.9; W: 1.4; D: 1.3.

The equivalent of Innova Star plastic. Discmania describes this plastic blend, "Excellent grip with great durability. This plastic ages well, which means your disc doesn’t have a drastic change in its flight behavior after a couple of collisions with trees."

This has become a staple in my bag that I don't ever see leaving. When I'm throwing an upshot into a wind that's too much for my zone I immediately reach for this.  Its perfect for flex lines in wooded courses where you start out on a lot of anhyzer and need it to come back no matter what. Its a 5 speed version of Firebird/Fd3/captains raptor. Must have slot in anyone's bag.

I gave this disc another chance, seeing as I didn't like the feel of it at first, but I needed this slot in my bag. And this disc definitely delivered the 2nd time around! I tried out an S-line to begin with, a really liked the flight of it instantly. I then proceeded to buy the DNA horizon metal flake c-line and absolutelt fell in love! I would say that this disc is very overstable, but I wouldn't call it beefy. The deflector (which has almost the same numbers) is waaaaaaay more beefy than this. To me, this disc just flies like a slightly more overstable zone type disc with a touch more glide. This very quickly became one of my favourite discs to throw!

This disc is perfect. When you power up on a Toro/Zone like disc hard enough it will go straight for too long. Enter the new MD5. Feels comfortable in the hand and perfect out of the box for those 300 ft flex shots or for when you need to get more distance than a Zone can muster. I threw it in on a light flex with a 25mph headwind and it still fought back hard when even my beef Destoyers were drifting.

BEEF. The MD5 is super overstable and in S-Line feels amazing. I love the smoothness and roundedness of the MD5. It feels like it'd be a much straighter mid but it is not. Feels great, flies reliably overstable, and is just a super solid option. I pulled it from the bag for now only because it causes a lot of overlap to my Razor Claw 3 at my current arm speed. I could really bag either one. It will probably swap back in at some point.
