Im not sure i would ever recommend this disc to anyone. Feels shallow and gross in the hand, cheap feeling non durable plastic, awful flight.

Great intro to stable approach/mid type discs. The active baseline plastic sticks to the ground very well. Awesome upshot disc

Reliable disc, but after getting beat in starts to fly straight, I use this disc for straight laser shots, and it has to be thrown with some power to be able to go straight, but using too much power will flip it over. It's very comfortable to hold and use as a straight flying disc (with minimum amounts of fade at the end).

I reviewed the Active Baseline Starter set, and this was my least favorite of the discs. I found it to be understable and with little glide. In my humble opinion, a disc needs at least be stable/overstable or have a good glide to be very useful.

Wasn't for me, but if this thing works for you, that's great news!

If you want a reliable midrange that you can throw straight with a dependable fade at the end BUY THIS DISC! I use this disc for flex shots shot hyzer spikes. A staple in my bag!

For a base-plastic disc, I was impressed with the feel of the Spring Ox. I rarely like the feel of the cheaper plastic, but this was an exception. As for the flight, the Ox flew straight with a flat release. With a little anny, it held the line for a bit, then slowly rolled over into a fade. I like the flight and feel like you could shape the disc well. I'm just skeptical about the life of the flight shape after hitting some trees/signs/buildings. Since I was just testing the disc, I didn't have it long enough to see how it flies after some serious hits. But, during the time I had it, I really liked the feel and flight of the disc.

If you're just starting out, the Spring Ox would be a good way get a new disc for cheap. The flight numbers are about right to me.

Came here hoping to compare my experience to other reviews, and there are none yet!

Out of the box, I really liked this disc. First, it was cheap. Second, it has a nice soft grippy feel. And third, it flew great. When thrown with power, would fly straight, and then dump left at the end. Throw it on a hyzer, it stays that way through the entire flight. Very easy to control distance and angle for approach shots. I would compare it to an Envy or P3x, just slightly more shallow of a feel. Very true to the numbers.

After 3 rounds on wooded courses, totally different disc. 5 tree hits and 15 other shots later, the disc looks beaten and warped. Still has a good feel, grippy plastic, not too many big cuts or scrapes. But the flight plate is no longer flat. When it comes to flight path, disc is now fairly understable. Thrown with medium power, it will flip up or turn over, and will only come back left if thrown high in the air. Completely turned the disc into an understable floaty approach putter. I would give it numbers around 3, 3, -2, 1.

Long story short, disc is a great stable approach disc for a couple rounds, but plastic beats in waayyy too fast, and becomes a flippy machine. I can only imagine that after 10 more rounds, it won't be usable any more. Good thing it is cheap, could make a great short term cycle disc!
