The Discmania Enigma from their Evolution Line is a disc that lives up to its name – it's truly an enigma on the disc golf course. Designed for distance drivers seeking power and precision, this disc has quickly become a favorite in my bag. The Enigma boasts an impressive combination of speed, glide, and control that is essential for those long-distance throws. From the moment it leaves your hand, you can feel the energy transfer, and it effortlessly slices through the air, covering substantial distances with ease.

Its reliable fade ensures a strong finish to your throws, making it a dependable choice for both backhand and forehand shots. The feel of the disc in your hand is comfortable, providing a secure grip for those crucial drives. Overall, the Discmania Enigma is a top-tier addition to any disc golfer's arsenal, offering the perfect blend of speed, control, and consistency that can take your game to the next level. At lower arm speeds the Enigma flies like a stable destroyer. At advanced arm speeds this thing will turn and glide and go very far very easily. Can be a roller at Pro level throughs but if you're looking for a easy to through distance driver the Enigma is perfect. I Love the Lat 64 Neo plastic as well.

It is a great overstable driver that beats into a straight glidy distance driver. The rim feels nice in the hand and can take the torque of a forehand. Beats in to very straight but does always fade out in the end. I see it as a straighter out of the box destroyer and love the plastic as well.

It's a bit more stable than I was expecting, but it's great for trusting when throwing into a headwind. I find it to be a very reliable distance driver when shaping drives with a backhand, but can be a bit more flippy with a high-torque forehand.

The Enigma is a great disc for all skill levels. Out of the box, its flies much like a beat up destroyer/DD3, which is great for newer players. Great for both powerful backhands and forehands. The Neo plastic is also still one of the best feeling plastics on the market. This was my go to driver for the better part of a year or two and as till has a place in my bag.

Every brand has their 12 speed stable-to-overstable distance driver, but the Enigma takes the cake as the most approachable for new players that I've ever tried. It's a great introduction to the higher speed driver category, and one that is equally suited to forehand and backhand throws. Also, for all the things the stock Neo plastic does well, their Vapor Enigmas really need to make a comeback! Slightly less stable, and capable of holding a wider variety of lines for experienced players.

While I wouldn't recommend any 12 speed disc to a beginner, this might be a good first driver. When you get it up to speed, it gets more turn than the numbers suggest. It doesn't have as gradual a fade as I would like, but these are easier to find than some other distance drivers in a number of different weights. I've heard great things about the Vapor plastic Enigmas; really hoping Discmania produces another run of these.

This disc out of the box will fly like a well seasoned destroyer. It has very similar numbers, but I would say the enigma will get more high speed turn than most destroyers ever will I would say it is for sure more of a -2 turn disc out of the box. As time has gone on with them it has beat into a laser for me. I can put it on a slight hyzer and it will flip to flat and just ride that with minimal fade. The neo plastic is great for durability. After over 2 years of being thrown, my neo enigma still has minimal noticeable impurities and feels like it can go until I lose it or stop using it. All in all, the disc is going to be a great choice for people looking for a destroyer but don't quite have the arm speed needed for the destroyer.

I love that they tried to make an Evolution Line DD3, however, this disc just seems off. I throw this at a 166g and it has a lot more turn that just a -1, and I do not have the fastest arm speed. I also feel like when it fades back, it fades back hard instead of gliding out to the left.

I enjoy the Pharaoh way more in the Swirly S-Blend plastic. The Pharaoh has a thicker rim and seems to want to  hold straight or right a little longer with a gentle fade back that allows me to get more distance.

While I love the DD3 for forehands, my 400' of backhand doesn't justify it.  The Enigma is just right and has a stronger fade at the end than my primary driver, the Pharaoh.  Just a really good disc that flies like a beat-in Destroyer right off the bat.

    Disc - 175 Neo Enigma

Feel - This disc feels great in the hand. It has a nice rim and feels very familiar even though I have never felt another one of these discs. It is a fast driver for sure but still seems very controllable. It feels great for backhand and forehand. Neo plastic is also incredible feeling in the hand.

Flight - The Enigma is a great distance driver. It feels like a 12 speed rim, but it seems to dly much faster than that. This is one of the fastest discs on a hyzer that I have ever thrown. Even when I feel like I threw this disc poorly or with too much hzyer it still seems to go very far. It is semi stable with a bit of flip up but not too much too where it is uncontrollable.

Overall - This is a great disc that I would recommend to players with decent arm speed that is a great max distance driver. Could be a nice overstable driver for others.

I don't have elite distance and this disc will still take me near 400 if I don't make it a bad throw. BH or FH...it's money!

Great distance driver. I use it for all types of shots from long distance off the tee to sharp up shots. I primarily throw backhand, this disc is pretty predictable once you've thrown it a few times. The Enigma flips up to straight when released on a slight hyzer with enough power, when thrown straight with enough power, it has a slight turn to it, which is nice to avoid first or second available tree and still keep a good distance line down the fairway. Rugged plastic and comfortable feel.

Like everyone else says great stable driver. It can hold an Anhyzer line pretty well, fights back but not with a ton of conviction. Flies far too with great predictably, really love this one got one of my top 5 longest throws with this. Hoping my Discmania Mystery box gets me another one if these. This was my second 12 speed after my Infinite Emperor g-blend and before I got a star destroyer, Enigma is right between the two, can hang a great Hyzer line, can flip up to glide, and will hold on to a Anhyzer pretty well. What more can you ask for?

This is the distance driver I have been on an adventure for. This thing absolutely bombs!!! Once you get your form figured out and getting power and ready to start learning angles with a 12 speed this is the one to go for. I can put this on slight hyzer and it will flip up a little but have a good fade to the left at the end. Really remenscent of a star destroyer, thrown flat it stays pretty straight with a light fade fighting for more distance. Anny it will hold and flex out to fat near the end of the flight. Another good thing is the glide, it has abundance of this and really helps it get out there to maximize your distance. I have this paired with a star destroyer and they pair nicely.

I'm a fairly new player that tried a bunch of distance drivers when I started out. Most i could not handle, the destroyers, the corvetts, catapults, stuff that was way too fast. As I've increased speed and form, I find the Enigma is the longest driver that i get good throws on consistently. I've lost 2 to water and tried to replace them with wraiths(which i love, not quite as long), DD3s(still a little too fast), and the Trespass(didn't get much out of it)

Picked up an Enigma last week and first 2 trips out it had the same great flight, udisc had it at 390 on one throw, which i rarely get that far with anything else. I also have one in Vapor plastic and it bombs too, and it too bombs, but I don't use it too much since they are hard to get and i paid a premium for. Neo enigmas are much easier to find.

Solid distance driver. If you need something that flies like a destroyer, but don't want to throw innova, this is your disc. Nothing really special or unique about this disc. It goes far, it stable enough without being too overstable. If I lost my Star Destroyer, I would just plug this disc in and save my money  instead of buying another Destroyer.

Oh the Enigma. 1st thing I think its key when choosing an Enigma, is to get the weight right. I have a 169 and a 170 and they are perfect for me. I am not a beginner but I feel like I am getting close to knocking out my form and timing. I have thrown this 429 feet! This also was the disc I used to get my first Eagle. It will do all the amazing things if you can get yourself working right. The neo plastic feels great too. Flexi and grippy.  Not hard and slick at all. Unless you can already throw 420+ do not get a max weight and you will get this to do what you want. 168-171 would be a good sweet spot I'd say. This 12 speed rim is very comfortable.

Love this disk. Played with it for the 1st time in a tournament and did really well in the wind. Love to throw this forehand, pretty consistent 350' and up if needed. Becoming my go to disk in the bag and looking to get a couple more for back up and slightly different weights. Could throw this on hyzer or flex if needed. Definitely goes further than my Destroyer and Wraith. Not as far as my DD3 but more stable.

I really like this disc a lot. It's a max distance driver for me. I love the Neo plastic and own two other molds in this plastic. The Enigma shows a little bit of turn with a reliable fade. I would say it's a little less stable than a Legacy Outlaw in Pinnacle plastic. My first time out with the Enigma and I found myself grabbing it for all of my drives. This disc is for arms that consistently throw disc golf lines over 300 feet.

This disc fits it's flight ratings perfectly and the plastic feels great.

It's a very consistent flyer and does pretty well in wind. This disc is awesome for the 375-400 ft range; it will flip/turn a little bit and fade reliably and it has surprising glide without sacrificing control. It isn't as flippy as something like a Tresspass, it's not as overstable as a Destroyer, and it flies a bit straighter than either of those. I love the Neo plastic, it feels like Lucid but a bit more tacky. This disc really shines on max distance S-curve or flip to straight shots.

    168 Neo Enigma

Really starting to love this disc. I continue to be a huge fan of the Neo plastic as I bag four different molds in Neo and they all throw great. As for the Enigma, it is a consistent flyer and I rarely have a bad release with it. Although still a relatively new player, I have played a lot over the past six months and this is a great driver for one who has consistent form that can generate distances greater than 300. For anything less than that, I still think the disc would fly well as a beginner distance driver with a nice stable finish.

For me, the Enigma is a relatively straight flyer. Thrown flat I get a little turn to the right and a finish slightly left of center (RHBH). It holds hyzers well and it will work out of an anny well for some nice distance with some field practice. It has great glide and eats up distance nicely. It is not my chosen driver for significant wind, but it can handle normal days alright if you understand how to compensate. Overall, great disc and one of my most reached for distance drivers.

These are great distance drivers. They are pretty neutral for a distance driver, they have some turn but will fade out. I like the neo plastic but it seems to beat in fairly quickly. The forge seems a little more durable if you can find it. These are worth trying, definitely the type of disc an intermediate player can get max distance with.

This disc is the middle ground for distance drivers if you throw under 400 feet.  If you throw the Hades and it's a bit too understable but still useable, this has just a little bit more stability and comes out of the high speed turn.  The low speed fade keeps penetrating; it doesn't dump like a McBeth Destroyer.  The plastic feels great.  I have 3 of these in Neo and one of them in a special release blend I can't think of.  After using these for a couple years, they are still dependable and for my power 320-360 I can throw flat, get some turn, and have them come back.  They can handle headwind, but would step up to an Emperor if it was more than 10 mph.  This feels great in the hand both backhand and forehand.  I'm really shocked at how no-one uses these, I've only seen one other person throw one while playing rounds with at least 100 different players.

I really enjoy this disc, it went straight into my bag. It is one of those discs that gets pretty effortless distance. That being said it does seem to have a bit of a ceiling. I can throw it 80% power pretty far, but if I turn the heat up a little more it gets harder to control the flip. Also the disc is somewhat hard to anticipate in the wind. I really love the feel of this disc, both the plastic and the shape of it, it's one of those discs that gives you confidence just by holding it because it feels like it's meant to bomb. And that confidence is completely well founded. I saw the Enigma getting compared to a flippy destroyer, and I guess that's pretty accurate in that I'm not really sure what else I would compare it too. It seems a touch faster, but not quite a 13 speed, and it is definitely way more understable than a destroyer. I think a closer comparison might be a shryke.

To echo what others have said, it's a more approachable Destroyer. Feels great in the hand but doesn't have the overstability that keeps most players from max distance with Destroyers. I'd say this is a good step below, and something to look for if your Hades/Terns are getting too flippy.

This is a great distance driver for people with 375-400' of power. I often tell people a brand new Enigma flies like a beat-in destroyer. You'll get consistent flip up or turn, but the enigma usually has enough integrity to fade back at the end. I have a few Enigmas at different weights and cover most of my distance driver slots. 175g gets little turn and solid fade. 170g gets a good amount of turn but finishes back to the left. 167g turns and holds to the right for most of the flight.

This disc is a game changer. Bellisimo. I throw lots of forehands and historically have thrown mainly discraft forces for distance. I got this disc in a random stack drawing, and took it out for a spin. First throw parked the basket, and it was a distant hole with a tight line. I did that multiple times that round. Flew past a basket I don't quite make it to with other discs. It flies how I would wish my forces could have been flying this whole time. For full, gorgeous predictable flex drives, this thing is just at the peak. I see people comparing this to destroyers and I like destroyers okay, but they fade harder than the enigma. This thing just threads and shreds. Max distance and accuracy wedded perfectly for my forehands. If you're reading this and don't have one, do yourself and favor and snag one.

I love this disc. The Neo plastic has become one of my favorites, and the disc itself bombs. I can reach 400ft with this disc pretty consistently on a baby hyzer release. It is understable enough to get a full flight, but not too bad that I am in danger of throwing a roller. I would highly recommend this disc. For comparisons, this flew very similar to a trespass and sheriff, but in a better plastic.

First off R.I.P. to my Kriat. I ordered the Enigma and on the same day I lost my go to Krait. I was planning on purchasing a new Krait but I feel like this is almost the same exact disc even though it is slightly faster. I still haven't decided yet if I will keep the Enigma or go back to my Krait, the only reason I say that is because my Enigma shows a bit more turn at high speeds than my krait did. However, I love how far I can throw this disc, an absolutely great flying and feeling disc. However, like I said earlier, I feel like this disc has a larger s-curve then the chart or flight numbers indicate from Discmania.

I got this disc a few months back out of the Discmania mystery box (yes, I was lucy enough to actually get one) and I can honestly say that this is one of the most used discs from that box for me. Right away, I noticed that the numbers are very similar to a destroyer or dd3, but this seems so much easier to throw for me. It excels on forehand shots but holds value for distance backhand shots as well. The Neo plastic is probably my favorite plastic in terms of feel and durabiity, as it feels like a blend of champion and star plastic. The disc holds a hyzer line very well and will glide for a long time. The disc also flexes beautifully on anhyzer shots. I have also noticed that the fade is not as much as it would be on a destroyer or dd3, so this can be more of a point and shoot disc than those two options. I have this at 173 grams, and I believe it is a great weight for me. If you think or feel that your arm speed is not great enough to throw a destroyer (like myself), then I suggest picking this up. Maybe it is just a placebo for me, but I feel much more confident throwing Discmania over Innova, so maybe that contributes to my thought process here. Either way, I recomment anyone to give this disc a try because I am sure it will grow on you just like it did for me.

Amazing disc iv honest had some trouble keeping the destroyer from starting to fade too early, as i worked on my backhand speed, but this disc is fast enough for me to still flick and just enough less stable (than the destroyer) I can keep it on a flat release longer or really rip it for a hizer flip. This disc is right at that sweet spot for speed to be controllable but fast enough to get the distance i want from it. Would recommend if you want to throw destroyer but aren't quite there yet or really want a destroyer that won't finish quite as hard, but you still need a pretty good throw speed to get all the benifits (it is still a speed 12)!

I throw my D1 forehand between 325-350 consistently. The slight turn is great for the wooded courses I normally play because it helps it hold the line just a little bit longer. For open shots I can really crank on it and as long as my release was smooth it doesn't turn over and just has very slow slight turn then stays straight for awhile and then reliably comes back to middle or slightly past at the end. Still feels like its going forward while it fades. Really enjoy the feel of the plastic as well. Been throwing it for a few months on wood courses and tried it as a forehand roller a few times as well and the stability still hasn't changed so the plastic is very durable.

When I throw it backhand (350 consistent) it stays straight longer than my wraith which is my main backhand disc. The fade comes in very late and is very forward. Where my wraith is hooking up and fading back in it is normally still going pretty forward. Took some getting used to!

The Neo Enigma has an amazing feel in the hands. The blend of plastic from Latitude 64 is amazing, and, is my favorite plastic from any company. The rim is very comfortable, not too big, not too small either. The flight numbers are fairly accurate, but I'd say it has 0.5 more fade than the listed 2 fade. The Enigma has some sneaky stability to it, but not as overstable as a DD3 or any other Destroyer type disc.

The Enigma is comfortable with a backhand and forehand. I've mainly been using it for my forehands (which aren't too great). On a forehand the Enigma comes out fast, and straight, but will dump hard and provide some skip.

On a backhand the Enigma flies very fast, will demonstrate the appropriate -1.0 turn and then fight back and finish. The Enigma does not take too much airspace to throw as it pushes forward more than flex and each flight is consistently far and controllable.

Effortless distance.. Backhand or forehand I extremely recommend this disc for big straight or flex drives. I broke my distance record the second round I played with it at just under 500 feet with definitely room to improve. This disc glides for days and moves forward the entire time. I have had several tap in birdies from lacing shots with this disc and I LOVE the Neo plastic. Just imagine if a Destroyer and Wraith had a love child, that's the Enigma.

I have been playing for about 3 months now, and this is my favorite distance driver that I've tried. In my opinion, it flies true to its numbers. I can get more distance with this disc than any of my others. The plastic is incredible, it's insane how good it feels to throw with the neo plastic. I mostly throw this disc forehand and I can get about 350 feet with it. I have tried throwing it backhand only a couple times and it flew great, I think it will be a great disc to backhand once I get my form down with the slower speed discs. If you are looking for a stable disc that won't really turn over in the wind, that will fly super straight and glide for a long time to get extra distance, this is a perfect disc to try out. I highly recommend it.

The enigma is another outstanding addition to discmania's evolution line.  The disc has great glide for its stability.  When I first started throwing one, every time I went to look for my lie if I couldn't see where I landed, the disc would always be 20-30 feet farther than I exptected.  For those who don't have quite enough arm for destroyer-style drivers, the enigma can be the perfect fit for maximum distance shots.  The neo plastic is wonderful.  Durable but fairly grippy.  It has a very neutral dome and feels good for both forehand and backhand.

Best i can tell this is a DDx in dynamic discs hybrid plastic. There is some legaleze where if innova produces a mold for discmania the same disc cant be then produced by triligy so they change the name and pretend its a whole new thing. That said the DDx has great forward fade and for the intermediate player it works just like a beat in destroyer. The addition of triligy plastic just takes it to another level.

I have a 168g Enigma in the Neo plastic. The first thing I'll say is that this plastic feels amazing- the grip, the soft but firm structure, and the look all surprised me. Neo feels like a nice halfway point between star and champion plastic. I really wish every disc company had a plastic like the Neo. I bought this disc looking for a forehand driver that would be comfortable and smooth and that's what I got. It is nice and flat (for a driver, it still has a little dome) which I like for forehand discs. For the flight on a clean, full crank this disc keeps a nice tight s-line and will have a forward fade for that extra distance. Thrown with less power or on more of a hyzer release this disc will have a more overstable finish but not a complete dump out of the sky. I throw this disc 350-400' on a forehand pretty comfortably. If you're looking to throw this disc backhand I would still recommend it, I've thrown it 400+ backhand however the flatness of it and the sharper edge might be a little more uncomfortable than other standard distance drivers like a destroyer or a Shryke (I use a GStar Shryke for backhand distance as it gets a little bit more glide). I definitely recommend trying this disc out, it surprised me.

I love the enigma. I wanted a driver with a touch of of understability but would fade while still going forward instead of stopping midair to dump left. But more importantly, this thing bombs! I throw the enigma farther than any of my other drivers. It has such a nice flight and the neo plastic is a dream. The rim is super comfortable as it's a little narrower than the average distance driver rim. It's also not super domey or flat. It's pretty neutral and I like that for a distance driver. Discmania has knocked it out of the park with this one. I would say it isn't super beginner-friendly as it's a distance driver, so it's not going to fly the way it's supposed to without the proper arm speed. But it is a great disc for super accurate and rather straight drives.

I just happened to be in the market for a couple new drivers. I beat the hell out of my current drivers (both Innova boss'). I've thrown a range of different weight drivers 147-173g. I can adapt to the weight pretty quickly and I like the different weights for different circumstances. What I was afraid of was getting a disc that felt clunky heavy kind of like my Innova champion dyed boss feels. I picked up an enigma in 169g and let me just tell you, the disc weighting feels so freaking good. Not clunky at all. All the weight feels like it's on the perimeter of the disc which is how it should be! This helps with the momentum of the throw in my mind versus being an absolute meat hook like the beat to hell 173g innova champ dyed boss that it will be replacing.  As far as the flight of this disc, I throw RHFH and this disc has a hard time turning either way. Just an absolute laser beam. Love the flight. 169g fights the wind great. Plastic is amazingly durable, as I threw it off a tree point blank (narrow little hallway) and no signs of that at all which I was actually really baffled by. Overall, I have already recommended this d to my friends. I feel like a kid in a candy store (maybe it's just the honeymoon stage)? Judging by the other reviews I really think this d is a freaking game shark of a driver.

The Enigma is the everyman's Destroyer.  It can also be potentially your longest headwind disc if you have a slower arm as well.

The glide is sneakily high for how little dome it has.  The plastic is also very grippy and durable.  I have read that it is a mix of Latitude's goldline and opto.

Where's the 6 star option so I can keep the rating above 5?

The Enigma seems to have been created to compete with Innova's Destroyer. The similarities betweent the two are unmistakable. Having a Discmania mold in Trilogy plastic is a bit of a novelty. My Enigma is a little on the flat side, and seems to have a very slightly shallower rim than a Destroyer.

I feel like the Enigma performs similarly to a somewhat broken in star Destroyer. The Enigma has good glide and penetration, and displays high speed turn on harder throws. In fact, the Enigma will turn all the way over if you torque it too hard or throw it into a headwind. A great disc for calm conditions, but it doesn't stand up well in the wind. I figure I was throwing the Enigma right about 400'. It could definitely be pushed out further though.

Glide was average to slightly above average. I felt like the Enigma cut through the air well and achieved nice distance.

Overall, the Enigma is a fairly standard speed 12 neutral flier. It compares well to a Destroyer or DD3. It isn't overly hard to throw or get high speed turn out of. I do wonder how this disc will hold up long term in Trilogy plastic though. Their plastic is notoriously less durable than Discmania/Innova's is. I also agree with the flight numbers given to this disc. My Enigma flies a nice 12, 5, -1, 2. Fade is mellow. Not a headwind disc.

This is the first driver I felt comfortable throwing. I haven't been playing that long and come from an ultimate background. The plastic feels great, it's very grippy. This is my forehand disc of choice and the first disc I bought multiples of. Love it.

This disc is so good, it gets 5.2 stars out of 5!

In all seriousness, this disc is something I feel that Discmania was missing from their lineup for quite some time.

It flies like a wraith to me. It beats up nicely, gets a good, long turn when thrown hard and finishes straighter than most drivers. I use it primarly for forehands due to my arm speed being lower than my backhand.

It's a slim disc with a very comfortable rim. The plastic is grippy.

All around a great intermediate level player disc.

This disc absolutely bombs. While it starts off stable, once it beats in, the Enigma will glide for ages. In the hand it is very comfortable, with a smaller rim than many other drivers of its class, and the plastic is some of the best I've felt for a driver. If the DD3 (or other Destoryer-like discs) are a bit too stable for you and you're looking for a disc to push out your distance, you can do a lot worse than the Enigma. I recommend getting one around 170 to find the sweet spot between control and glide.

Primal Run Enigma 175. This disc is super fun to throw. I notice a little more turn on this than similarly numbered drivers I own. This disc pops up to flat and glides......

    Accuracy to the Max!!

This disc is everything I’ve wanted and more! I’ve tried every comparable disc from Innova TeeDevils to Latitude64 Havocs, but this is the disc I needed. The Enigma is a straight flyer that can be very forgiving on your accuracy while still giving you control on your drives. The most important part is the fade. The Enigma has minimal fade and it fades forward rather than just falling to the ground, giving you max distance. A perfect combination of accuracy and distance in one disc. It revolutionized my game!

I would consider myself an average arm speed player. I can throw 12 speeds (dd3) approx 350'. This disc flies true to the numbers on the disc, 12 5 -1 2. Compared to my DD3's this gets very similar turn but a little less fade making it fly a bit straighter and a bit further for me, my best being about 375'. If you are trying to throw 12 speed discs but get too much fade on the dd3/destroyer this is a good option, still a reliable end fade. Be careful of headwinds though, this doesn't fight through them like a dd3/destroyer and will turn significantly more.

The Enigma is a nice high speed driver for the intermediate to advanced player. I could get this pretty far, and I'm an intermediate player. It definitely has some fade at the end, but it would flip up a little and fly straight for quite some distance. I'm thinking this is a little less overstable than a destroyer (which I can't throw), and a little more overstable than my Pharaoh.

The plastic feels great again, whatever Latitude is using in their magic concotion works really nice for these Evolution Line molds. The rim feels big, but not too big, it fit in my hand really well.

Overall, I enjoyed the Engima. I do have some others like it, but this disc is a good addition to Discmania's Evolution Line.
