I bought this disc hoping I could achieve some massive distance, and for some shots, I was able to. I have this disc in G-line plastic at 172 grams. The feel of the rim took me a little getting used to, but now that I am used to it I can see the appeal of this disc. It maintains pretty good stability over time for me, but I do not really throw this disc into a headwind. I like that I can trust this disc in other situations though in an open field. It holds a hyzer well, as well as an anhyzer, which gets me the max distance with this disc. When thrown on a hard, flat line, I find tat it comes out a little understable but finishes in a pretty straight position compared to where the throw was from. I do not bag this disc on wooded courses and do not find myself throwing this too often in a scoring round, however. Also, the fact that I do not recommend this to beginners contributes to the four star rating rather than a five star rating.

I think the G-Line DD2 is a little bit too understable for how fast it is. The feel reminds me of a Daedelus or a Colossus. This disc is trying to cater to lower arm speeds, which in my opinion is always contradictory to a high speed disc. I would suggest trying similar discs that are slower such as a Tern or Archon before trying out something as fast as the DD2. The G Line plastic offers more grip than other plastics, and less stability. Out of the box this disc reminds me of a Katana with a lot of high speed turn followed by a decent high speed fade. I haven't tried a G-Star Katana yet but I can imagine these will fly similar.
