The Apollo is the first disc from Alfa Discs. This is a straight flying, beaded midrange that is designed to be the workhorse midrange of your bag. It has very good glide for sneaky distance and is capable of holding any line. The Apollo is a great disc for any player at any level.

Picked this disc up at a shop in Kansas while looking for a new midrange to give a try. I've thrown the Buzzz and Hex and both are great discs, but decided to give this disc a shot. The chrome plastic feels great and I love how the rim is shaped and feels. Flies on any line you put it on with a decent amount of understability, but reliable finish. Overall, straight shooter. Not mention this was my first ace disc so I don't ever see myself changing out this slot anytime soon.

Love love love this disc. First one I got was the VIP Series Chrome, then I got another Chrome and a Crystal one. Currently bag the Crystal but one of my favorite throw-ins was with the VIP Series Chrome. This disc has a thinner profile than almost any other midrange I've thrown and all of mine are board flat. This disc will give you the turn on a flat release and sits up to flat on hyzer shots buuut is a bit touchy when released on anhyzer. Nonetheless, this disc is reliable, beats in slowly and perfectly, and is the midrange I use most for straight, narrow fairways with a pesky tree in the further down in the middle where I need that slight turn and come back from my disc. The change in stability between on three variants I have is fairly minuscule so I'd just suggest getting whichever plastic you like more:

    VIP Series Chrome (Most Stable)

    Chrome (Neutral)

    Crystal (Least Stable)

Love this mid.  Im in the vip club and will throw this disc as long as I have them.  Put it on a line, it holds. This disc has a great glide, it an easy 200+ controllable flight without full power.  headwind, slight high speed turn thrown flat that still covers alot of distance.  I'm forehand dominate but this disc has a great feel, smaller rim for its stabilty, love it for control back hands.  flys straight for a good distance before fade for 200-225 comfortably.

Received this as a mystery disc. The feel in the hand is pretty unique and the rim is a bit thin for a larger hand, not bad though. I would say speed and glide are pretty accurate, especially the glide, seems to float longer than some of my other glide5 mids. Brand new it was not very flippy at all but as i use it more I'm starting to see that -0.5 turn. Wont make it into my main bag as the rim just isn't quite the best in my hand, but i keep it at work with a putter for our par3 course around campus.

Plastic feels good, premium-esque for sure

I received this as the mystery disc in my order, I don't know too much about this company, but this is a good midrange, nice straight flying and easy to throw. The plastic feels good, reminds me of lat 64's gold plastic. the only gripe I have is the feel in my hand, the edge of the rim is a little uncomfortable at first (due to the flashing) but after smoothing out it's a little better. I'm excited to throw more of their molds

It's, a really straight flying disk with a very slight fade at the end. I like it but it will take some practice to use.

update to review. original review next  so this disc is amazing but you better buy about 20 of them because they beat in extremly understable! like a .5 when new to about a -2 after a month or so they beat in faster than any plastic I have ever thrown like maybe 100 shots before they are a roller disc.. other than that an amazing disc! I got this for my mystery disc and couldn't be happier! I have been throwing discraft for 15+ years and have bagged a buzzz since day one. this is like that buzzz that you have thrown for a year or so and it's perfectly beat in to hold dead straight. well this disc does that right out of the box. needless to say my buzzz collection found the storage bin because this is just so much better in almost every way.. its actually so straight that you can control the finish of the disc by the angle of release. beginners could almost use this for a driver for any holes under 300 feet as I was able to get this out 325+ with ease its very controllable in a head wind despite being stable. my only complaints are that when I got the disc it had a rather sharp parting line that digs in to your hand and a sharp line around the base of the bead. this comes off very easily just give it a scrape around the rim with your fingernail. also to get proper flight out of it it throws harder than a 5 more like a 6. if you throw it with 5 like power it Flys very overstable and has a noticable fade at the end of flight.

Got this as a mystery disc add on and very happy I did. Got a very nice looking white one that has become my new midrange. Played a Buzzz Z and it worked but this one will go further for me and still fly straight with less power. It flexes more predictable for me than the Buzzz due to not having great speed in my throws. The plastic feels great but there is some flashing on the side. Not sharp and not terrible and since it has flown so well for me it doesn't seem to matter. Thanks Infinite for the hook-up.

At first, I bought this disc simply because my dog's name is Apollo and it looks awesome.

After using it for the last 3 weeks I LOVE THIS DISC. It has become my go-to midrange. It is extremely consistent and holds whatever line you put on it.

I would highly recommend this disc to anyone and I look forward to the new discs Alfa brings to the market.

I actually have this mold in both plastics. It's a larger diameter midrange that is very comfortable to throw. It's going to fly very straight and predictable. The plastic feels great, and it will serve you well.

My new favorite straight to stable mid range.  Out of the box it will go straight with a nice finish. It didn't flip out of the box at all and would hold a nice hyzer line.

A thinner profile so it fits nicely in my hand.

My ceiling on drive distance is about 300ft and I can get this disc up to about 250 easy. It is my farthest flying mid by far.

Been throwing the Chrome plastic for about six months and it has beat in to dead straight. Then added a Crystal plastic to have a more stable version in the bag.

Seems like a great mid to cycle. You should definitely buy two!

I'm almost 50 and I've been playing about a year...I can throw this disk straight and about 225 feet easy every time.  It's changed my approach game, if I've got a pretty straight shot, this one has become my go to.

I have two and waiting for one more in the mail from the VIP run. Sick so sick stamp. I can get it out to 350. Any flick it over 200ft. You can do about anything with it. It's comfortable in my hand and I don't have huge hands. I can't wait to try the crystal blend plastic as well.
