The AGL Discs Magnolia is a stable to slightly overstable midrange disc golf disc. The Magnolia represents AGL’s best selling mid and has become an instant classic for its versatility and the way it’s so easily controllable. The Magnolia mid-range is perfect for those intermediate shots where you need a disc to fly straight and fade predictably. With a (5/6/0/2 Alpine & 5/5/0/2 Woodland) flight rating this disc is just fast enough to be able to withstand a bit of power, but still slow enough to give you pinpoint accuracy. The disc has so much GLIDE in Alpine that AGL decided to change the numbers and now call it a 6-Glide!!! The stability of the Magnolia also means it is more than able to be thrown forehand into those touchy approaches. Find out why the Magnolia is the most popular mid-range in the AGL lineup today!

Lee's Frisbee Fixation
My Flight Ratings: 5/5/0/2 Neutral Throwing Distance: 300 Straight Score: Slightly Overstable

Jul 09, 2026 19:00 PM

I've been playing nonstop ever since i started playing disc golf one year ago and I recently got a point in my game where it's making more sense to throw midrange discs than drivers on holes ranging between 240 to 310.

So far the Magnolia has been the best option. It's stable enough to throw very hard on a flat release without burning it, but not so stable that you can't nudge it offline a little bit to miss a tree. It likes to go quite far, but still flies like a midrange for sure.

Pretty wide diameter. The flight is comparable to a heavy versions of the Innova made MD3 or an Innova Lion, but with more glide. Handfeel is comparable to a DGA Squall or the old Gateway Scout.
