The AGL Discs Magnolia is a stable to slightly overstable midrange disc golf disc. The Magnolia represents AGL’s best selling mid and has become an instant classic for its versatility and the way it’s so easily controllable. The Magnolia mid-range is perfect for those intermediate shots where you need a disc to fly straight and fade predictably. With a (5/6/0/2 Alpine & 5/5/0/2 Woodland) flight rating this disc is just fast enough to be able to withstand a bit of power, but still slow enough to give you pinpoint accuracy. The disc has so much GLIDE in Alpine that AGL decided to change the numbers and now call it a 6-Glide!!! The stability of the Magnolia also means it is more than able to be thrown forehand into those touchy approaches. Find out why the Magnolia is the most popular mid-range in the AGL lineup today!

    Alpine Details

Alpine is a premium plastic blend from Above Ground Level, engineered for maximum durability and long-term performance. It is typically made with 20 to 40 percent regrind from Innova’s Champion Plastic, resulting in a tough, resilient material that can handle repeated use and harsh conditions. Alpine offers a slicker, more rigid feel compared to other AGL blends, making it a strong choice for players who prioritize longevity.

Very good stable Mid, can handle some tourqe, with reliable fade.  The Amy Lewis signature is the best variation of this disc, but they are all very good.  Once they are beat in they have a nice straight flight with reliable finish to the left.  Good for any bag, great for beginners, and trusty for experienced players.  I highly recomend this disc for everyone.

My favorite  over stable mid ever. I'm very fond of Buzz Ss and meteor for more underatable mids and this is a nice addition that feels good in the hand for a touch more stability.

Glide for days!!!  RHFH the only problem with the Magnolia is it might fly too far.

I created a profile to review this disc.  This has to be the best midrange on the market. It does exactly what you want it to.  It'll get Tee-Bird distance if you need it to, with accuracy and nothing unpredictable. It'll cut a deeeeep straight shot, or a fat hyzer , or a nice turnover. It just seems to do exactly what you ask of it. The only reason I have another mid-range in the bag is because this thing glides too long in certain situations, so i bag a zone and a bard if I need something to cut off faster.  I have a very loving relationship with this gosh-dang frisbee, I think it flies like nothing else, and I think you should buy one immediately.

Super reliable and incredibly glidey. Flight numbers were recently upgraded to 5 6 0 2 because the Magnolia will glide forever! Mags fly straight and finish predictably OS at the finish. AGL throwers reach for Magnolias as often as possible!

I got this disc because I wanted a slightly more stable replacement for my Compass, which turns a lot more than I wanted it to. The Magnolia definitely fits that position quite well. It does turn a little bit, but it evens out quite nicely and has a consistent fade at the end. I ended up getting the max weight of 181g, so it's pretty easy to get some good distance with it. The Alpine plastic is also surprisingly durable while having a little bit more grip than some other hard plastics like Champion. I'm looking forward to throwing this a lot more. It will definitely be staying in my bag for the foreseeable future.

This disc feels very much like any manufacturers stable midrange. Very Buzzz or Truth-like, The flight could also be described as such. Thrown side by side with my Buzzz's, the Magnolia tends to drifft right a bit more during the turn part of the disc flight, but it never turns over and burns. It can hold anny lines very nicely. My Buzzz will hold smore stable and straight. It also has less fade than a Buzzz. It  glides well and is floatier than my Buzzz's. I like this disc a lot and would recommend it for any kind of player. The stable mid is the core of your bag, and this disc would fill that roll nicely.

This is my favorite of the AGL discs. The Alpine plastic feels nice enough. I replaced my Roc3's and Flat top Rocs with Magnolias. The Woodland Plastic is a nice compliment to the Alpine if you want something that's not as slick. They both forehand and backhand well. I would highly recommend this disc to players of all skill levels.

Not a bad disc.  I actually like the mold.  It's the plastic that I'm not too fond of.  Not sure if this is a Gateway Plastic but the Alpine plastic definitely has a similar feel to Evo Diamond plastic.  It's not a nice slick plastic like Star, K1, or Ultrium plastic.  If you prefer those types of plastics then this disc might disappoint.  How does it fly?  For me with my 400 max power this disc flies straight for 80% and has minimal low speed fade.  I was hoping for a little more stability.  I didn't get any high speed turn which is good.  Will it make my bag...no.  Glad I tried it out but not for me.

Also, this is a shallow mid..think Innova Wedge/Colt/Stud....only a mid version.  If you like shallow putters and are looking for a shallow mid...this could work for you.

    I threw this RHBH.

Note:  I had a annoying amount of flashing left on the disc.  Reminded me of Prodigy and how they sometimes seem to leave flashing on.  I'll have to sand it down for sure

I really enjoyed throwing the Magnolia in my test round. It has a nice, flat profile with a comfortable rim that I like and it wasn't hard to get good distance (for a mid-range anyway) before it made its end-fade. It reminded me of some of the Discraft mid-range discs that I have loved for years. I think it's a great mid-range addition to the Above Ground Level disc line-up, and not bad for intermediate to advanced players. It's not even bad for beginners, as long as they understand that it is designed to have a little fade, but the speed is manageable.

The Magnolia is, to me, the epitome of a good midrange. It's just a great straight thrower with nice little fade at the end of the flight. It's pretty resistant to flipping over. In the hand it feels great, just a standard mid rim. The plastic feels good, it's definitely a premium plastic blend.

Overall, the disc flies just like about ten other mid-range discs I have, but this is the first like it in the AGL lineup, so it's necessary. If you like the Roc or Buzzz, you'll like this mid. Nothing extraordinary, but it does its job very well.
