The bag is a great idea, but the mesh that holds the water bottle and putters is super weak.
I've had this bag out to the course less than 20 times and both areas of mesh are worn through. I can't hold a water bottle now and I'm using duct tape to hold the putter mesh together.
I notice they have a more sturdy version for an extra $10 that is built more sturdy, definitely the better buy.
Love this bag! It can carry the 9 discs I usually bring easily, with room to spare for snacks an extra drink, etc. Its very light but stands up well when I put it down while throwing. The material its made of is sturdy and I think it will hold up for many rounds. I'm a beginner and have only owned smaller bags, this bag is the best by far. I've even hooked my retriever (in an infinite retriever pouch) to mine. Plus it looks great, I got the green, and you can't beat the price! I'll be ordering a couple more of these bags for friends. Thanks Infinity!!
If you're looking to have a bag that can hold a handful of discs when you just simply don't need your full bag, or if you wanna have a few discs along with space for other stuff like a jacket, snacks, etc. this is the bag. Many other bags claim to be small and they're all either large or absolutely tiny. Highly recommend it.
Starter bag! Quick round bag! Great gift bag!(lol! See what I did there?) Seriously, this is a well-made, easy to grab, go, carry, etc., product! The seams are tight, the material is tough, can't really ask for much more. Quality bag at an affordable price!
I bought this bag when I first started playing disc golf just over a year ago. I think that it is a great bag for starting/casual players. I was able to squeeze two putters in the mesh pocket and I had 5 or 6 discs inside the bag with plenty of room for more. The bag seems very durable. As a matter of fact, I handed it down to my son who uses it still. The only complaints that I had were that the bag wouldn't stand upright on its own and the pocket for keys and cell phone could have been a bit bigger. It was difficult to keep take my phone out to keep score. For $20, you really can't beat this bag and that's why I rated it 5 stars. It is a really good bag for the price.
This bag is absolutely perfect. It has a drink holder and a putter pouch on the outside which is very handy. Then on the inside it has a bunch of pockets for discs. Perfect for casual rounds!
This bag holds plenty of discs, perhaps more than I need. I am stepping up to the huck pack now that I'm beginning to add distance drivers to my game, but only because I'm in that beginner phase of wanting to try too many different discs.
I can get 12-13 discs in this bag but with a full load plus water I'm finding that it is too much weight to put on one shoulder for me. It really is a fantastic bag when you don't overload it with too much weight, so I'm definitely gonna keep it around. My plan now is to use this with just 6-8 discs at a time when I am trying to stay focussed on learning particular discs or when I go to short courses where a bigger bag seems silly and go to the huck pack for field work and longer courses.
Definitely the best small bag on the market, and even better, it's the only one anyone currently has in stock. As a somewhat newer player (~ 1 year), I have little need for carrying 20+ discs on a round, and have found that the few discs I carry, the better I actually play. I love playing quick rounds in my free time, and this is the perfect bag to do that.
Easily the best small bag on the market. I've used everything from shoulder bags to numerous backpack style bags to super minimal nutsac bags. For me I like limiting the number of discs I carry. It truly allows you to learn your discs and constantly improve. I used to think the Fade Crunch was the best small bag on the market. This bag changed that as it roughly carries the same but distributes the weight MUCH better. Place on one shoulder for quick pace of play. Place over the shoulder sling style for longer walks or slower play. It really is just an exceptional design. The durability seems great for the price point so far. Backpacks have their place. I've tried Upper Park Shift, Grip C-A, MVP Voyager Slim, and Dynamic Trooper. This Sling is still my favorite as it's just that much lighter and more comfortable. You can't carry back-up discs or anything if you dial in a full setup in my opinion. If you are good with that, get this bag and enjoy. I did some returns along the way and Infinite displayed exceptional customer service. When this bag kicks the bucket I'll likely just buy another. Infinite... please consider making a "premium" version of this for those of us who disc golf consistently but enjoy a lighter load! My setup includes two putters up front, two throwing putters, three mids, three fairways, and three distance drivers in main compartment for 13 discs total. That's definitely the max, but everything is easy to remove and replace. Couldn't be happier. Sorry for the long entry. Just thought this might help someone who's dorked out on bags as much as I have over the years. Thank you Infinite!
I have been in the market for a bag after selling my AX3 bag a year ago because I couldn't play anymore because of a new job a my son being too young to bring for rounds. Now that my son is almost 4 I started taking him out for a round or two week. I normally only brought 4-5 discs because that's all I could comfortably fit in my hand.
While no one enjoys carrying their discs by hand, I started to enjoy the simplicity of only having a few discs on me each touch. I looked around for a bag to carry under 15 discs in and found nothing I liked. The lunch box style bags were bulky and aren't ergonomic. The other shoulder bags were more my style but lacked storage or a place for a larger water bottle. After a long search I stumbled on the Upper Park Shift or Grip EQ C. However, both of these bags are $100-150 and I didn't want to spend that type of money on a bag for casual rounds.
Enter in the Infinitediscs Slinger.
I found the Slinger bag one day randomly browsing Infinitediscs' site. After reading the description and a review I knew this was the bag I needed to try. It's straight forward, has enough storage more my phone's, keys, snacks, 32 oz water bottle, and enough discs for any round at my local courses. And on top of that the quality of the bag is top notch for the price. Honestly, after receiving my Slinger bag, I would have no problem paying double the price for it.
I haven't been this happy with a purchase in a long time.
Over all this is a great bag that could use a few tweaks. If you're looking to lighten the load and spend your energy throwing instead of carrying, give this bag a go!
Over the last few years I discovered that I was carrying so many discs that I used only once every round or two, and that the bulk of my throwing was actually maybe 10 discs. I decided to give my old-man back a break and downsize. A one shoulder sling bag? Sounds good to me!
Pros:
Cons:
this bag is awesome, looking for a small bag for a while, one for a few discs and things back and forth from the office daily, this bag is exactly that, play rounds is a breeze with the outside pocket, putter, for driving, mid range and a driver, fit perfect in the pocket, inside two more discs, hat, towel, paperwork for the office, zip pocket on the back, keys, wallet, checkbook, allergy pills, great job guys
I picked this bag up right after they were released on the site. I wanted something to use when I didn't want to take my cart, for whatever reason. This bag works perfectly, it is very well made, it easily holds 12 discs ( that's including two in the putter pocket ). If I had to find one gripe it would be that it does not have a lot of storage but what it has is adequate, it holds my keys, wallet, etc. just fine. If you are looking for a well made, smaller bag to use than you can not go wrong with this one, that's not even mentioning the great price. A fantastic value.
Ultimate one strap bag; for the price, its tough to beat. I use this for all around utility use. For the size,it holds quite a bit. The padded strap is the perfect size. When carrying 5-10 discs, the bag still has enough room to squeeze a few bevies in. The optional shoulder placement is nice. Fabric wise: high quality. I use it for simple courses, utility bag for work and play, and main bag for night/glow rounds.
For $20 it'll be hard to beat this bag. Construction quality is more than hardy enough to be tossed around for a few years. It can comfortably hold maybe 15 discs before things get unwieldy, but optimum is around 12.
CONS: Because the bag only has a zipper on one side certain carry styles are preferable. To remove a disc with the right hand it is best to carry the bag on your left shoulder. I'm used to carrying a NutSac on my right and pulling a disc out with my right, so disc selection and bag management takes more time.
I absolutely LOVE this bag! It is perfect for my needs. A lot of the courses that I play require a lot of hiking and scrambling over rocky terrain. This bag fits securely and I have had no issues with the bag staying in place. I also love the size. As a casual golfer, I don't need a ton of discs though I am always tempted to try new ones. The fact that you can only carry up to 12 discs really makes you think about what you need. I have found that for me, 12 discs is more than enough. It has really made me focus on those discs I have and really start to master them. This bag gives you easy access to your discs, and I love the outside pocket for my putter and main approach disc. Love this bag!
Amazingly, this bag is what made me give up my 5-year standard of NutSacs. The feature I was most looking forward to was the drink holder, which works nicely on a standard bottle of water.
I typically put around 8 discs in the main compartment and leave it unzipped. I tried putting the putter in the outer flap, but I prefer putting my mini and towel in there. There's a little zippered compartment for my keys and phone, too. It's great!
Economically priced, well-made, feels great to carry. Highly recommend.
Now, if I could just figure out a way to use the clip-holes at the top to somehow secure my Gator retriever, I'd be set. Any suggestions?
Just about everything I need in a bag; front pocket fits all 3 of my putt/approach discs (OS, stable, US) and the main compartment easily holds 7 more (3 mid-range, 2 control drivers, 2 distance drivers). You could definitely cram 1-2 more in there but 10 is comfortable. I got this for the $16 introductory price so it was totally worth it, even if it just falls apart after a season (which it doesn't look like it's going to). One small complaint, the Infinite Discs logo almost immediately fell off the top of the bag, but this doesn't affect its function.
Wow, I am loving this Sling bag. When I'm not playing tournaments, I've permanently switched to this bag. It's so easy to grab discs and put them away because I can leave the zipper open the whole time and nothing will fall out. I fit about 10 discs in the bag and another two on the outside. It even fits my Condor that I enjoy to throw.
The drink holder is all I need for my casual rounds, and the pockets on the back hold my wallet and keys comfortably, along with any granola bars I need.
I just love how easy it is to pick up and go. You just grab and it and throw if over your shoulder. If you want to go hands free while you hunt for discs, put it over your head and it'll sling on perfectly.
The quality is also very nice- the bag looks and feels awesome, with minimal patterning on the material and strong mesh on the outside. This bag is the epitome of ease, and I've never been so impressed with an "entry-level" bag. Why use a cheap backpack if you only ever use one strap and want to grab-and-go and focus on your game.
If I play a mountain I'll probably stick with the stealth bag for the water bladder, and if I play a tournament I'll stick with the Commander or Zuca. But for my casual fun rounds, this thing is perfect.
The Slinger bag is definitely worth a look if you're looking for something cheap that doesn't hold very many discs. My gf doesn't like to carry very many and this is a step up for her over the basic starter bag she was using for not much more money. The bag is very light and I even put in an extra disc or two for her and the bag does not feel heavy at all. Does a great job of managing the weight distribution. As comfortable as a sling pack can be.
It doesn't hold very much though. The front putter pocket has a nice thick mesh and does comfortably hold 2. You could probably stretch 3 in there. The main compartment has two pouches that each hold about 2-3 and then you can put another 2-3 on the bottom. I'd say max between 8-10 total overall. While you could probably overload and stuff this bag I wouldn't recommend it. I think the quality is good for what it is designed for. I don't think it would hold up to that type of abuse.
It is a sharp design, looks nice in person. The shoulder strap is padded with a mesh backing for breathability and comfort as is a portion of the back itself. I like that you can switch the shoulder from side to side easily.
They really did their best to reinforce where the strap meets the top of the back. This is a spot where I think the bag build wise will hold up as long as it's not abused. The zippers are nothing special and probably the cheapest part of the bag. The storage compartment isn't bad for what it is. Easily can hold keys, phone, wallet. Nothing too large. You could probably bring a light hoody in the main compartment if you had to.
Drink holder is also decent. Of course everybody loves the draw string. I'll say the cup holder is almost exactly the size of a 1L water bottle that you get at a gas station. Just enough room so that it's not squeezed in.
Overall though considering the price of this I'd say it's well worth the buy. I'd like to see its durability over time but initial impression is good. I would definitely recommend to others.
This is an extremely convenient and affordable small bag for quick disc golf rounds. It easily holds two putters in the front pouch for quick access, along with ten or eleven more discs in the main inside compartment. It is quick to toss over your shoulder and move to the next hole, or can be slung across your chest like other sling bags if you're carrying it for a while.
I actually used my test model Infinite Disc Slinger for all three of my rounds at the 2018 GBO tournament. I got a few strange looks for traveling so light for a major event. But it served me well as I didn't need to push a cart or carry a large bag around. I never tossed a disc into a pond, so I was fine. I can't say the same for the Utah Open where I managed to throw four discs in the water and my Disc Slinger was running out of backups.
I like that the strap can be clipped onto one of two different positions on the bottom of the bag so that you can use whichever shoulder you prefer when carrying the bag, and the back pocket holds more accessories than you might expect. I keep a grip bag, a stress mini / knee pad, and a small bottle of sunblock in there. I keep a small towel clipped to the top eye-holes to dry my discs during rounds when the grass is wet.
It is a super-handy bag for a super affordable price.
