This was one of my first fariway drivers recommended to me by a local shop owner and immediately fell in love with it. Super easy to control and became the first disc I could controllably hyzer flip. Glides for days and was my 'distance' driver for a long time. However, as my arm speed increase, I began turning this over too often and became difficult to control and reproduce the shot shapes I was accustomed to. I then moved back to my home town in Utah and the elevation recreated the familiar flights I was used and haven't stopped throwing since. I would say this disc is definitely beginner friendly and a great introduction into some higher speeds for those with a slower arm speed, but works like a charm for anyone especially living at elevation. 

This disc goes in my bag for really cold or wet days. The grip in K1 and K1 soft is increadible and the plastic is amazing feeling in general. This disc has far more glide than expected. I have gotten it out to 360 feet on occassion with less effort than expected. The K1 soft seems overall more stable but at the same time more glide. I can trust it quite a bit into a moderate headwind. The K1 is a bit more touchy but perfect for hyzerflips in no wind and flat release with a tailwind. 

The one odd thing about this disc is it gets more stable as it beats in. I thought I was crazy but a lot of videos and reviews I have read have said the same. Not a bad thing but just something to be aware of. 

The Falk is a great understable fairway driver for smooth turnovers and straight, controlled flights. This disc tends to be picky with its angles and can be overturned very easily if you get a hold of it. 

This disc is great at holding whatever line you put it on, and will get beautiful S-curves easily. It has enough fade at the end to land reliably, but won't want to fight out of an angle much.

INSANE GLIDE, GREAT, RARE AND USEFUL TURN AND RELIABLE FADE.

This is a wonderful turn over disc for more experienced players or a perfect driver for new players and slower arm speeds.

For faster arms/more experienced players this is a perfect turnover disc that will flip hard to the right and glide, very rarely does it flip and burn over and cut role. Put some air under this disc and it will glide for days. 

Newer players/slower arm speeds you will see this disc flip to flat with a sligh turn and then a nice gentle fade back for a lot of distance. 

And the plastic is amazing!!!

Kastaplast Falk

To me it feels slower than a 9 speed and a little more flippy but this disc will glide for days.

Love this disc. Like others I would disagree with the flight numbers. Definitely more flippy than the numbers suggest, and to me it feels more like a 7/8 speed. Not what I was looking for exactly, but it still has a spot in my bag. Beginners should definitely try this disc. More experienced players can also find a great use for this disc in the woods. 

The Falk is a great pick if you're moving up in driver speeds and are wanting something understable. If you're form is decent the Falk will carve up fairways for you, if you tend to throw with a bit of anhyzer you won't get any distance out of the Falk. It will turn and burn on you. The angle of release can be tricky depending on how much power you put on it. For newer players it works great as a workhorse driver that exhibits a small amount of turn when thrown flat that fades back to center. More advanced players will see a lot more turn and will need to adjust how much hyzer they throw it with. I no longer bag the Falk, but it served me well when it was in the bag. Only reason it isn't is due to it developing a puddle top and becoming unreliable. 

the best disc for anny shots I have ever thrown! you can release it flat and know that it's going to make a pretty decent turn to the right and carry a long ways. the k1 plastic is unbelievably grippy and just feels like a very high quality disc. I have been using for about a year and have not noticed any change in flight from beating in. works amazing for a roller as well. it can be thrown straight but requires a lot of angle and skill of release to throw a straight hyzer flip with this disc. I do feel the turn is closer to a -3 tho.

K1 plastic, as always, feels incredible and is durable.

This was the first disc I really felt comfortable with when starting to throw faster discs. Understable and glidey, the Falk was perfect for working my way up in distance. This disc definitely has a place in the bag of newer players.

As I've played more, the Falk has stayed in my bag, but not just due to sentimentality. As my arm speed has increased, the Falk continues to be a very useful disc. I reach for it less, but it functions as a big turnover shot or hyzer-flip to slight turn.

So obviously K1 plastic reigns supreme, it feels incredible. This disc however is a conundrum. I really love it in the hand and it flies beautifully, just not sure its going to make the bag. It is a bit more understable than I expected. I would agree with others who rated it at a 9,5,-3,1. I can get this to flip up and continue to drift slightly slowly right, which is useful, just not what I envisioned using this disc for. Even so, its hard to knock the disc, when it is a great disc, just not quite what I was looking for.

My most used disc for straight drives by far. The falk is probably slightly more stable than the numbers suggest, but that's not a bad thing. On hyzer, this disc will flip to flat and ride until it finishes softly to the left. On flat or some anhyzer, it will turn to the right, but not too far, then finish straight or slightly left. This disc is great for 325-350' shots on a tight fairway where you need a disc that does not turn or fade too much. Overall, fantastic disc and I will be devastated on the day I have to replace my current falk. 

My relationship with the Falk has been a bit of a roller-coaster.  When I first got it, I was blown away by the feel of the Kastaplast plastic.  For my money, it's the best plastic I've ever felt.  They make truly beautiful discs that feel amazing in the hand whether you are throwing FH or BH.

I expected the Falk to be my BH driver.  I was relatively new and hadn't messed with 9-speeds before, but a peer was throwing a Beast pretty well, so I figured the stability (I've seen -2/2 on multiple sites) would be right up my alley.  I was wrong.  This disc flies very under-stable in my experience.  Definitely not -2/2, and probably not even -2/1.  I was turning over every drive right out of my hand.  Now I'm not naive enough to blame the disc for my form flaws, but for a beginner, I would not recommend this disc.  

I experienced similar troubles when beginning as a FH driver.  Late release, or poor wrist form, and the Falk turns over and never comes back.  HOWEVER, if you stick with this disc and adjust for it, you will get some throws that you cannot duplicate with other discs.  Thrown at a hyzer at maximum power, you can get some great S-curves out of it, and powered down slightly, some perfectly straight darts ideal for hitting lines in wooded areas.  While the disc has been in and out of my bag over the past couple years, it's found a permanent home as a distance driver, FH or BH, in still or tailwind conditions.  Just understand when you buy it: it is more under-stable than the numbers suggest!

I absolutely love this mold, especially in arguably the best plastic on the market right now. I have a 159g Lat64 Jade that's served me well, but eventually I wanted to find it in a heavier weight. Well, the solution was under my nose the whole time with the Falk. The disc dimensions are nearly identical as are the flight paths. The rim size and height makes for an excellent feel in my grip and the Falk's glide allows for max distance for players who are less experienced and still developing snap/form. Really fun disc to learn hyzer flips with. As with most of the Kastaplast lineup, the feel is quite literally perfect for anyone with smaller/average hand size.

I am not typically the type to review things, but the Falk has led me to leave my first disc review. This disc is everything I hoped for when I ordered it and more. Throw it with a little hyzer, it flips to flat and glides straight for DAYS and then gently fades into the circle for a tap-in birdie. It also has a beautiful anny flight. Holds the line and then ever-so slightly fades back to flat before it lands - once again in the circle for a tap-in. Obviously it's not THAT easy, but seriously this disc has a beautiful, consistent flight and is great for shaping-shots, in the woods or out in the open - it's like it just wants to go in the chains. The Falk does not like the wind, however - pretty easy to turn over into a headwind, but that was to be expected based on the flight numbers and profile (which were spot on for me). For me, it was a great step up from my Star Leopard, as it has a similar flight and feel in the hand - the Falk being slightly larger. Overall, I can't recommend this disc enough. If you're searching for a reliable, shot-shaping fairway driver, look no further.

I love this K1 plastic and the rim on the Falk. It's very comfortable and grippy and firm. The disc has a defined dome top. I like this disc and the flight I can get from it. I don't have a huge arm, usually throwing around 325. So this disc doesn't flip over super easy for me. If I throw it flat it will turn slightly to the right and glide for a long ways before fading out. It reminds me of a Discmania S-line TD but just a little slower. I think it has good high speed stability and it doesn't flip over immediately like a couple of my Trilogy discs do. I like how it holds the turn as well. For me, I think the numbers are almost correct. I think it is 9/6/-1.5/1

I am new to Kastaplast and I have to say the K1 plastic is amazing.  It has to be my favorite feeling plastic that I have felt and thrown.  

The numbers for this disc are almost right for my power and particular disc.  I believe it feels a little slower than a 9 speed, maybe a 7 or 8 and the glide is a 5 at best.  Other than that the turn and fade are right on.  It doesn't want to turn and burn into a roller/throller.  

I throw this disc on a hyzer, get flip up and very slowly turns to the right or straight and can get 350 to 375 feet, which is around my max distance.

Wish I bought the Lots first. 

Nice disc. Much more understable then advertised. Though the one I HAVE HAS A NICE SIZE DOME AND LOW PLH. 

Don't throw this into the wind, it will be an instant throwllller. No bueno. Nice for downwind and hyzerflip to turnovers. Has a tiny fade still at the end. 

These Nordic companies make some truly fantastic discs. K1 is extremely comfortable and, for me, the perfect middle ground of sticky and smooth. The Falk is great for not-quite-S-shots where it turns then straightens out rather than fades. It's a great shot shape to have in the bag. When I flick it (about 280ft of power) it will pop up to flat and glide for a long while. It gained a permanent spot in my bag.

The Kastaplast Falk suprised me. It's unusual to find an out of the box turnover driver that flies far, turns reliably, and doesn't roll. For me, the Falk is a perfect turnover driver. I can throw it flat, achieve near max distance with a flight that turns all the way to the ground. I think flippy high speed drivers are no good for these shots. A 9 speed disc like the falk is about as controllable as you can get without it being finicky, and the distance isn't significantly less than my high speed max distance drivers. Hyzer flips for me still turn right and have very little end of flight fade. 9, 6, -3, 1 is about the right rating in my opinion. Great disc.

Numbers are pretty spot on for me. It flies like my star Valkyrie but with a lot more glide and slightly more stable. So the (-2) turn seems like a perfect rating for this disc.

I can hyzer flip it for long straight drives, or throw flat and high to get long, controlled s-curves through the woods. This is the disc I grab when I need something a little more understable than my Undertaker. It has some turn to it, but it's always a controlled turn, and always fights back. This makes it a great woods disc. And Kastoplast K1 plastic is as good as it gets. 

Similar to a Valkyrie but not the same.  I'd say the Valk turns faster.  K1 is soft and will absorb colors from rags left in bag. 

So much glide. Intermediate arms need to watch out for that turn. If given enough room for that S turn this disc will eat up the distance. Great disc that I will be keeping in my bag. 

First of all, the K1 plastic is amazing. It's got great Grip and has proven to be very durable. This has been one of the drivers I am learning to drive with. The understable nature of this disc paired with max glide really helps me add distance to my drives. 

This disc in one word - smooth!  A buddy of mine let me try his a few times and I went straight home and ordered one for myself.  It definitely is understable but this thing holds any line you put it on.  Need a hyzerflip? This is the disc for you.  Need to throw a standstill anhyzer to get around a tree?  This thing will hold that line all the way to the ground.  Something about the great K1 plastic makes every grip and release so perfect, probably a big reason the best way to explain how the disc flies is just.....smooth! 

I have heard people say that this disc is like a Valkyrie with more glide. I don't know where they get that from because this disc doesn't fly anything like a Valkyrie. This disc is very understable from the jump. It's more like a beat in roadrunner or fury. If you want something that you can throw big anny's or rollers with, or you are looking for a max distance driver with a low power arm, this is the disc. The K1 plastic is some of the best feeling stuff out there.

First off - the disc is beautiful, and fits great in the hand.  It only gets 4 stars because it is significantly more understable than advertised.  This thing is a roller straight out of the box for me - I hyzer flip it to turnover shot with a 330 foot shot without even trying.  It actually does have some decent fade if you manage to let it fly long enough.  Feels and flies great more more understable than a roadrunner in my opinion.

My Falks are both opaque and quite understable. I'm loving them for hyzerflip tunnel shots! I actually pulled out my G-FD (most understable FD used for hyzerflips, turnovers and rollers) and replaced it with a Falk. The Falk is just so buttery smooth. Between the mold itself and the K1 plastic, it just feels amazing in my hand and comes out as clean as any driver I've ever felt. Plus, the flight makes for effortless hyzerflips from 350' and in with enough stability to not go full roller, big sky annys, force a hard turnover and it makes a killer roller as well. I'm just loving this disc for effortless touch shots.

For advanced players, this is an effortless hyzerflip and turnover disc. For beginners, this can easily be the first driver a newer player or those with lower arm speed rely on. This is the Leopard in a 9-speed and phenomenal plastic!

This disc does not fly like the numbers say but that is OK.  I really like this disc, it is not going to fill the slot I was looking for but it is in my bag for now.  This disc goes very straight for me effortlessly.  It is more understable than I expected, but I haven't had it turn and burn on me yet. 

The plastic is really nice, a mix between star and champ is a good descriptor.  I wouldn't claim it is some wonder plastic, nice and grippy, and stiff but not hard. 

I like this disc

I typically hate understable discs BUT... This is one of my favorite, most versatile discs. Doesn't have a whole lot of fade. I would agree with a previous comment that brand new this is more like 9/6/-3/1... depending on the weight... my 175 fades back if you give it a lot of hyzer. My 172 does not fade back at all no matter how much hyzer... 

Throwing it on a fat hyzer and a lot of power it'll pop up straight glide for days and slide basically straight. 

I haven't had enough time to really beat them in yet but I truly believe that when my lighter one starts to get beat in it'll be a heck of a roller.

*insert obligatory comment about kastaplast's amazing better than everyone else's plastic*

This is literally my favorite disc.

It is an easy to pick up disc for beginners as its understability lends itself to slower arm speeds, however i find that with just a little more power it will glide forever.  Really gives you the ability to shape shots, and of course its amazing in the hand being that it is made of Kastaplasts K1 line (which can only be described as my favorite, most grippy, stiff premium plastic)

Another great disc by Kastaplast.  It's great for beginners.  Not sure I would say it's anything like any disc I have in my bag, but it's an awesome disc and very fun to throw.  Again, if you haven't felt the plastic, you need to get one.

Good driver for a beginner. It's basically a longer River (Latitude 64) with slightly more fade at the end. Should be a great go-to driver for beginners or intermediate players and a good turn over driver for players with more power. 

I'll start with the feel of the disc. When I picked it up it felt very good in the hand. Mine has a slight dome to it and a small rim (feeling-wise) for a 9 speed driver. Honestly felt more like a 7-8 speed than a 9 speed even though the rim width is the same as the Valkyrie. If you like Rivers, Leopards, etc. I think you'll like the feeling of this disc. 

I've thrown this disc for a few rounds now and I was surprised how understable it is right out of the box. I'd say it's closer to a 9/6/-3/1 brand new. If you throw it hard on a hyzer it will flip to flat, turn a little, then fade to straight. If you throw it with a slight hyzer or flat it turns pretty far right before flattening / fading slightly. 

A lot of reviews here are saying it's like a Valkyrie, but this disc is definitely more understable. All the Valkyries I have beat in to dead straight, this had noticeably more turn right out of the box, which isn't a bad thing. I actually think it's very similar to the Lat. 64 River, just faster with a little more fade at the end. So if you're looking for a longer River/understable fairway to bridge the gap between a fairway driver and a distance driver, this disc is worth checking out. 

Not a thing like my Valkyrie.  

I bought this because several reviews mention this as flying like a Valkyrie, but in K1 plastic.   Well I know that I love my Kaxe in K1 plastic and I know that I love my Valkyrie as a reliable turnover disc... So what could go wrong?

A couple things worth mentioning: I am a RHFH thrower, and I throw with pretty high arm speed.  I currently throw Star Valkyries and sometimes Champ Valkyries as a disc that I know I can throw flat and have finish to the left as a RHFH shot.  

This disc does NOT fly like a Valkyrie IMHO.  It is far too understable to put any power on at all.  Instead the disc turns and crashes into the ground.  At best, this disc could be used as a roller.  Though the roller results were not favorable either. 

Quite disappointed in this one.  I wanted to love this disc because I love my Kaxe, but this did not perform as advertised.  This probably would be good for a beginner with low arm speed, but that is just my best guess.  

Perfect for your first 9 speed driver!

This is one of the best feeling disc profiles and plastic you will ever hold.  I was so excited to throw this disc!  For me (and my buddy) it was very understable for us.  Even when thrown on a large hyzer angle it would still flip to flat and keep flipping to the right.  Every now and again we would hit the angle just right and it would just glide for days.  This is going to be a very long driver for those without a lot of arm speed.  I would even recommend this in a starter set for a newer player.  Experienced players this is just going to be too understable to control if you throw 350+.

If you have not felt Kastaplast plastics before, you're in for a treat! It is truly one of the unique blends in the disc golf market. It is durable yet extremely grippy. Trying to rub two Kastaplast discs together is a challenge since they want to grip so well, but that's a good feel when it's in your hand. 

The Falk is a noticeably understable driver, and yes, it can be easily overpowered unless you throw it with a big hyzer-flip. But my favorite use for the Falk is to use my back-hand-right-hand style to put it on a big anhyzer, because it makes the turn and glides along the new path without any problem. 

I would recommend this disc to any player who is newer at the game and doesn't have a lot of arm speed, but wants to get a little extra distance in their game. It may be a bit too high speed for those with smaller arms (like children) but it would still be very manageable for most of the novice and recreational players I hand out with. Great job, Kastaplast!

175g First Run

The Falk kicked my Star Valkyrie out of the bag. They are very similar discs, but the Falk is a bit less stable (and of course better plastic). It flies like a beat in Valkyrie. A touch more turn that holds a bit longer and about the same amount of fade. Put it on a hyzer and it will pop up a bit and hold straight. It will hold an anhyzer all the way to the ground without turning over too much. Great for long straight glidey shots with a tight tunnel or low ceiling. Its also understable enough that it can roll, but not as easily as some other discs. Definitely will be filling my straight to understable fairway driver slot. 

Kastaplast really makes some of the best feeling plastic on the market. The K1 plastic blend is super durable and has a nice tacky feel that gives it excellent grip without making it too sticky.

After the first few throws I was immediately a fan of the Falk. This disc is slightly understable and flips up to flat on a hyzer release for me, but never turned all the way over and always faded back at the end of the flight. It is just a solid all purpose fairway driver that is very consistent for me around the 300-320 range with a nice smooth pool and a slight hyzer release. Flight wise, the Falk is very similar to my Westside Stags.

The Kastaplast Falk is a disc that can be thrown by almost everyone. If you haven't tried anything in the Kastaplast line yet, I highly recommend trying the Falk.
