This is a great disc, however the flight numbers are very inaccurate. This disc is more like a -4/1 than it is -2/1. It is hugely understable and great for hyzer flips with late turn or a roller disc. I use it often as a utility fairway for right turns. Great disc, but beware, it is much more understable than it reads

176 gram Discraft Sting in Z-line plastic. This is the only disc I have experienced in Z-line plastic but it seems comparable to Innova's Champion plastic, good enough but not great grip and one of the most durable plastic options. The flight numbers seem accurate and I have been very happy with the flight. It is exactly what I wanted the Innova Leopard to be. Like the Leopard, it has a reputation for being a straight flying disc great for beginners. But beware, I am a beginner and it does not fly straight for me. That is cool because I do not want it to and don't believe it was designed to go dead straight. What makes the disc great is the natural S shape of its flight and the slow right turn. When released flat, the Sting does not instantly start turning and then fade back. It starts going straight and the right turn is almost delayed a second. Then the turn is smooth and consistent with slight fade back left. The shape can produce generous distance for a 7 speed, typically landing about 250-320 feet out and 20-50 feet right depending on how hard it is thrown. It can also work well for straight hyzer flips, but I prefer by Discmania FD for that. I appreciate the Sting for the smooth easy turn over shots.

4 Stars is hugely disrespectful. Not something you are gonna throw off of the tee much, but this is the ultimate understable "fairway" utility disc. Playing in the woods you can throw this thing easily on giant anhyzer over trees, it will hold the line and keep going. Yesterday I had an awesome forehand shot Just had to get a little anhyzer on the disc and a fair amount of power and it just does exactly what you want it to. It is an understable 6.5/7 speed driver that is truly consistent, Idk if these 4 star people are playing enough disc golf in the woods. I really wish I had found this disc earlier, it could be really useful for learning the anhyzer, low follow through shots.

New player and this disc is close to my best one in the bag.  For sure the farthest one I can throw and it flies very straight.  Highly recommend adding it to your mix of discs.

This disc is perfect for beginners and intermediates alike. Great for threading the needle. I use this for shorter hyzer flips and shots I need to finish understable. Overall, great disc.

    nice.

A complete utility disc for bigger arms. If you need to go right no matter what, this is what I (was) reaching for. Extremely flippy but will not turn and burn if put at the correct height. Do not throw into any sort of winds as it will do whatever it pleases.

Especially as a new disc golfer, this disc changed the game for me. I continually was frustrated as I would unknowingly add too much hyzer, or see my discs just fade left (as a RHBH primary) without any of my control. However, without much change to my form, a friend had me try the Sting. And suddenly, I started making throws I never used to. And as my technique has improved, it's still a go-to disc in my bag for moderate distanced shots. And the Elite Z plastic is more than ideal for a beginner who may (like me) hit every other tree in your way. I bought my Sting used, and I've hit several obstacles since buying it, and it barely even has any damage. Definitely recommend for the slower arm speed beginner and for those trying to figure out your backhand throw.

The Sting was a disc that I wasn't expecting to like, but I was pleasantly surprised with it. It is a slower fairway driver that reminds me quite a bit of a leopard. It can really handle long sweeping anhyzers and hyzerflip shots really well. It really excelled as a woods disc for me and flew like a longer Comet. This would be a disc that would really allow new players to have some fun and throw some nice shots.
