This disc is not overstable at all. Thought it would be similar to a Zone , but it's not even near the stability. Cant be thrown on anhyzer. Works ok on a flat throw rhbh , but still to turn to the right.

I did field testing with this comparing against some similar discs, and I think the flight numbers are about right for me: I gave the Viking Warrior these same numbers (more stable than its listed 2 fade), but I found that the Yao typically got more distance than the Warrior or Axe, while still having a strong fade. Maybe the Yao actually has a -0.5 Turn to it that helps it fly straighter longer, but I can throw this as hard as a driver and still not see any actual turn out of this like I can with, say, my Destroyer, and it fades more quickly. I'd have thought a 4-speed would get turned over a little bit at least with decent power behind it, but even into a headwind I couldn't see any real turn, just a more delayed, less pronounced fade. As I've mentioned in several other Yikun reviews, I love the Phoenix plastic for its durability, feel and release; and this Phoenix Star blend looks extra cool with the metallic flecks and silvery, prismatic stamp (i.e., the colors look different depending on the angle its held to the light)! Most of these Phoenix blend discs have bright colors making them easier to find (my Yao is transparent with a light purple rim and the light-catching flakes/stamp). The Yao flies well with reliable stability, and hasn't ever turned over on me even into the wind. I think a beginner will not get enough power behind this to get it thrown very far, and will probably not like the short distance and pronounced fade from a slow speed disc (they may as well throw a driver). No issues for me with the performance of the Yao: It functions just as its designed to, I think.
