The YAN is a slower mid-range disc with a deep rim that feels almost like a large putter. It flies dead straight with even a light touch and minimal power. It's a great, glidey disc for approach shots straight up the gut to the basket.

The Yan is definitely a good disc to have in the bag. It however does take some learning to get used to its flight. If you overpower it, it will turn and burn 100% of the time. Most of the time however you won't be throwing it off a drive anyway. You just need the touch to know how to use it because things get real understable real quickly with too much power. Other than that, it's a solid disc that will rock your upshot game. It will somehow find its way on those 100-150ft shots where you need reliability. It flies for days, which is probably due to the domiest dome I've ever seen on a disc. Despite the massive dome it feels okay to throw, not great but serviceable which is a compliment given its shape. No complaints with the Phoenix plastic either, it feels like an Innova champion type blend which is rock solid in your hand but soft in the middle. If you like the glidiest discs imaginable at low speeds, go ahead and pick this one up.

This thing is perfect for me. As a beginner (Less than 10 rounds at time of this reveiw) this disc is one I use almost constantly. I consistently am throwing this dead straight for 140-165 RHBH nearly every throw. As an older guy, I'll take that to start and try and bend shots later. Glides for a while. Easty to recommend for any beginner.

Like any disc, you need to see how it works for your form and arm speed, but I think for power throwers it might be relegated to longer putts with the high glide it has. Too much throwing force easily overpowers this thing. The 0/0 Turn/Fade may be correct, because the slow disc speed may be what makes it seem so understable, and once it gets onto its line after the initial high speed point of its flight, it does tend to continue on the same from there; then again, this might need something less than 0 for Turn. For beginners I think it will function very well, and most other players could find it useful, though it may take some getting use to -- often trying to get the right hyzer angle to have it flip up to level and go straight without turning over more than you want. Once it gets going, the 6 glide definitely seems to be accurate as it keeps soaring for more distance. The domey shape helps provide great glide, but it also takes getting used to: for me domey discs make me have to amend my grip to achieve the same kind of release as other discs. The Phoenix plastic is great: I like the look and feel of it, it has proven to be very durable, and it generally releases cleanly for me (again the domey top gives more of challenge than most). The artwork looks kind of cool: my nephew really thought this was one of my coolest discs!

I am just learning and bought this disc for the flight numbers. It did not disappoint. I can get it to 150 ft and it is straight the entire time. Really heping me get my arm swing where i want it.

Another weird and understable thing from Yikun. Only threw it a few times, but definitely flies and feels like an ultimate disc. The plastic feels really nice, kinda too domey for my hand, but with a nice stiffness. This thing just glides.

I was intrigued with this disc because of the flight numbers and really wanted to like it. I would compare this disc to a Nova in the way that it will expose your form it not thrown correctly. Having said that, it's too flippy and inconsistent for my form. The art work is nice but I can see this making my bag or anyone else's unless used for a catch and throw warmup disc.

If you're looking for a dead straight disc that won't fade try the Yikun Yan. When thrown with moderate power this is a true 0,0. It's flight is a lot like an Ultimate Frisbee.

Throw it on a hyzer line and it will curve that direction. Give it a little anhyzer and it will curve the other direction. This disc is so controllable for touch shots, and dead straight throws. It's like the single mold version of the Tomahawk (with a tad more high speed stability) and is really similar to the out of production Innova Foxbat.

The Yikun plastic is really good and they always have good disc stamp graphics. This is a great first disc, only disc, or disc for Ultimate Frisbee players transitioning to disc golf.

If you don't have a lot of control with your release angles, or throw everything with a ton of power, you're probably not going to like the Yan.

If you like finesse shots and straight throws grab yourself a Yikun Yan today.
