This is one of the beefiest discs I've ever thrown, very close to Stego stability. It's a blast to throw, but it's use on the course is limited due to how quickly it wants to fall from the sky. That said, it works on shots like sky hyzers and thumbers, and it's fun to play around with just to see how wildly it flies (or doesn't fly).

Ultimate utility disc. If you need to get around a large obstacle that is directly in front of you, throw this. Also excels at insane skip lines, high anhyzer approaches that need to come out quickly and short range rollers. Sometimes the overstability will catch me out and it'll fade early on me if I haven't compensated for it completely.

Make no mistake, this is a pure utility disc. For what it's designed to do, it does it well and with no surprises. If you need to throw around something that is directly between you and the basket, but don't want to layup to a C2 putt or farther, get you a Crossbow. With a turn of +0.5 and a high 4 fade, it will begin to fade almost immediately out of the hand. Even with all the anhyzer (RHBH) I could put on it, it still landed to the left of my straight line to the basket, which is exactly what I bought this disc to do. If you need 4X the recommended daily value of beef, get this!

For what this disc is intended to do, it does it perfectly: absolutely reliable performance as a hard-fading, very overstable utility disc. I picked mine up during a Yikun/Viking sale without having looked at the flight numbers very closely, just thinking I wanted a 4-speed to fill a gap in my line-up. When I first got it and threw it, the flight caught me off guard, and then I looked at the numbers more. I don't think I would have bought it had I noticed the 1.5 glide, the high 4 fade, and maybe the only non-negative turn value I've seen on a disc. Like others have noted, even into the wind and with anhyzer release, this thing pulls strongly back again, probably never going a full 200 ft for me. I've since picked up other 4-speed discs to suit what I was first after, but this type of disc still has its situational applicability and performs its task admirably. Lastly, I'm always a fan of the Phoenix plastic, too: durable, consistent, good feel in the hand, and a smooth release. I think people will be well pleased with discs in this plastic grade.

A great 'Get out of Jail' disc. It has a decent amount of glide and seems to stay where it lands. I use this for forehand anyhyzer throws where I need to get around some trees and have the disc land in circle 1. I got this and the stego and use the crossbow when I need a longer throw. It's a really valuable utility disc.

Context: I have been playing for a little under two years but adapted a strong forehand right off the bat. I only threw forehand shots my first year and have a serviceable 350-400 ft on back hand drives now. NOTE: I also throw all forehands with one finger, this is a shallow disc so that might matter.

    THE CROSSBOW
Holy wow, I have never had a lower speed disc this stable. I tried flick rolling it once.... ONCE.
Here's the thing, this disc will NOT turn over on a flick. I throw it as hard as I can and it will get maybe max 200 ft or so with a hard skip every time RHFH. Backhand it makes for an excellent spike hyzer or get around a tree disc.

    Feel
This disc is light, gummy, and VERY thing. Perfect for flicks. You can get really good at flicking this for approach shots with a little anhyzer but you do have to dial it in or watch it skip way past the target.

    Summary
I would recommend this disc for anyone looking for a CRAZY good utility disc. This is the oldest disc in my bag and it is still the most stable. The gummy plastic feels nice and is very durable against trees, rocks, roads, etc. If you cannot find this disc, the DD Justice is almost identical. I like the Crossbow better for more stability in the phoenix line and the gummy plastic bounces nice.

I got this disc in the VIP club which came in a way stiffer plastic than the gummy blue plastic. The gummy blue plastic is definitely closer to the justice  which is overstable but not even close to as overstable as the orange super stiff Pheonix plastic. This disc make a justice look like a ROC3. The crossbow in the stiffer Phoenix line is close to a stego in stability. I'd day a tick less overstable than a stego. Or overstable like the tilt but a way slower speed.

I absolutely love this disc being this stiff and overstable. This is my most used utility disc. If there's a tight gap I need to hit I can throw it on a baseball throw type angle level with my eyes and it will always come back. You DON'T have to throw this thing high on a high Annie line to assure that it has enough hang time to come back like you do with a justice. You can throw this thing 4' off the ground on a 45° forehand annie angle and it will fight back to straight immediately and finish on a hard hyzer angle hitting the ground.

The crossbow can skip a ton making it super useful getting good distance around sharp corners on skip lines.

Use the crossbow for any sort of shot that your absolutely don't want to go over 200'. Because on super hard flex angle I can still only get this to go about 200' lol.

The crossbow is so incredibly useful but it takes time and patience to learn it if you're not proficient in hard Annie flex lines. But totally worth it to learn.

This will be the easiest review I have ever written, the Yikun Crossbow is essentially a Dynamic Discs Justice (my all time favorite disc) in a soft gummy plastic. This disc looks good, feels great, and has the most consistent overstable flight path you ever need. Mine is 160g and it is still ridiculously overstable!

If you need a super overstable utility approach disc that is going to have minimal skip, try the Phoenix Premium Crossbow.

While I would rate this disc "terrible for beginners" I love it for being an awesome combination of super-overstability and gummy plastic. I would compare it to a soft (or supersoft) Justice. It doesn't take long before it dumps hard, but once it hits the ground, it really sticks because of the gummy nature of the plastic. That also makes it a great cold weather choice, since plastic stiffens up in the cold.

This is totally an overstalbe utility disc for experienced players who want a hard fade and no skip on the landing.

I've never thrown any Yikun plastic before, so this was going to be a real new experience. I saw this disc was on sale, so I had to try it out. It promised a more OS flight than a Zone, so I was intrigued.

When I got it out of the box, the Phoenix plastic wasn't this Champion or Z plastic I thought it was. No, it was a lot closer to Fluid if anything. It is very soft and gummy. The rim as well was a surprise. It's shaped a lot like an Anvil, just a little taller.

Now, the flight. It's OS as promised. I didn't get a chance to throw any high hyzer approaches, but from what I threw in field work and a round or two, it's every bit as OS as a Zone and more. I felt like it was fading coming out of my hand. I used it a lot in scrambling due to how OS the flight is and how flat the disc is. I could throw big wide flex forehands around a tree, and have it reliably come back and fade. I was able to throw it upsidedown, and have it behave like if I was throwing a Firebird.

Overall great disc. Stamp is kinda rad, too
