The Adder is an overstable distance driver. This makes for a great distance driver for power throwers, or an excellent utility disc that can handle windy situations. The Adder won't turn over for anyone, and you can trust this disc to maintain its flight path regardless of most conditions.

Very domey, very overstable with a lot of glide. This is a disc that when thrown, it will glide a surprising amount before it fades out. It doesnt dump out and fade hard into the ground, it just glide and fades far and it tends to skip. I feel that it excels for sidearm, and its a disc i usually use in situations where i either want a disc that glides a fair bit, before fading predictably and skipping, or situations where i want to throw OB with a reliable fade back into play.

I've recently started throwing the Adder as a potential replacement for the Warhorse, which is by far my favorite overstable distance driver. The Warhorse is out of production and hard to find (I have 3 of them) but I can't keep dropping big bucks on ebay when I need a fresh mold. I'm not sure why Westside stopped making the Warhorse, but it seems that the Adder is meant to fill that slot as the flight numbers are almost identical. That said, they could use some tweaking. In my opinion, the disc isn't quite as overstable as the Warhorse. I'd drop the fade to a 3 and I'd adjust the glide to a 4.5. I also feel like this disc would turnover before a Warhorse would. I haven't turned the Adder over yet, and I'm not expecting to...but on a hard flex anny line, it has to work just a little bit harder to fight it. Overall, it does feel like a Warhorse in the hand, even though it has a bit more dome. It's also impervious to the wind. This thing rips through and true to the line you want it to fly. You could play a round in a tornado and it would hold true. I'm a forehand only thrower and I generate a lot of torque. I primarily throw the Adder hard and flat from the tee (sometimes with a little hyzer) when I need to go long and straight and fade hard. It's great for flex lines and spike hyzers too. If you want a beefy boy for surgical shaping, the Adder fits the bill.

I love my Adder. It has become, in just three months, my go-to disc for anything longer than 150'. It's still very overstable, but even with the sheer beef, I can throw it out to 94 yards(282'). Forehand max is still around 200', but I'm still very happy with that, as I finally found a reliable forehand in late May (date of this review is August 7). Would definitely buy several more.

I have a pretty good forehand drive, maxing at about 400'.  I like to use very overstable discs typically but this was a real disappointment.  It just does not glide as advertised, I'd say 4 at best.  I much prefer the Giant in the Trilogy family.

This disc does what it's meant to do well, and that's going fast and being overstable. To be overly simplistic, this disc is basically Westside's version of a halo Destroyer in terms of its flight as well as feel in the hand.

For bigger arms, I feel this disc would be a great compliment to the Rive; as I honestly believe this disc is basically the same disc as the Rive, but with a more domey top, more overstable flight, and made in a more standard plastic. The problem with this though is that I feel this type of disc is only extremely useful to people that throw very, very hard. If you're looking for a utility disc that will always give mammoth skips, there are a fair amount of other discs on the market that can fill that slot better than this one (L64 Stiletto), and if you're looking for a max distance disc that can fight the wind, this disc is a little too overstable for it to fit into this slot for the average player.

Overall, it's a good disc; I just feel it will truly shine for players with an absolute TON of power. However, considering this was a disc Nikko worked with Westside to make with this exact goal in mind, I don't think catering to people with less than professional level power was the point of this disc to begin with...

The Westside Adder is just another high speed overstable distance driver that is just too much disc for me. It's fast, and overstable. There isn't much else to say. If you want a high speed overstable disc that gives big skips this disc does the job.
