The Viking Axe is a midrange disc, but with a slow glidey flight like a putter. The Axe has a slight dome and a stable flight with a fading finish. This is an excellent precision disc when you need an accurate placement.

This is a very nice disc, the armor plastic is invincible. It has a rather slow flight, and it usually sits well when thrown properly. However, this is not a very good midrange for 175+ feet, as it flips over very easily. I use it more for approach shots, because when you don't put too much power into it, it has a very calm and smooth flight. Nice disc, it goes in my bag, but I don't use it for what I intended.

The Axe is a moderately stable approach disc in the midrange-putter class, similar speed to a Zone or Tactic, but more backhand oriented.  The middle is quite domey, but overall the disc is very comfortable; the excellent Armor plastic adds a great feel as well.  If you power up on the Axe, it'll turn over a bit, but still has a reliable fade at the end.  Great disc for touchy wood shots where you need a straight flight with a nice, gentle fade.

Overall, awesome unique approach disc with very accurate flight numbers.

Love the Axe in Armor plastic. It has the right amount of feel, is very durable and basically goes where I want it to go. I use the Axe from about 100 feet in. It's my favorite approach midrange by far.
