The Pekapeka, from RPM, is an understable fairway driver that is perfect for hyzer shots, threading narrow fairways in the woods, and laying down rollers. This disc is great for several disc golf situations, and you should really think about putting the Pekapeka into your bag!

I got this disc a couple months ago in Cosmic plastic. After some ebb and flow of learning to trust it, the disc has become a staple in my bag. From big panning anny's to hyzer flips to flat and late turns. This disc has a ton of potential on a variety of lines and cruises down fairways.

I was given a Pekapeka by a stranger while out playing one day and was told "throw it with hyzer, it will change your life" before he dissapeared back into the parking lot.  As crazy as this sounds, its true, and it did change my life.  This disc taught me 2 major things that sculped the way I view disc golf now.  1. Have fun, I fell in love with shot shaping and watching the disc fly.  2. Be creative with your discs, use them in ways they arent always meant to be used.  If you want the boring review... Its an amazing hyzer flip disc that will go really far if thrown with some power.  Also, has amazing glide.

This was one of the first discs I ever had, and it's still one that I keep in my bag for those special occasions. Fresh out of the box it will give you a nice flip up to flat, hit a couple trees and this baby will turn for most of the flight. Makes for a very nice Woods disc.

Feel: TheCosmic plastic has a really nice stiffness to it (Similar to Lucid, Opto, or Champion), without losing its grip.

Flight: The Cosmic Plastic tends to have a more stable flight when compared to their atomic plastic. With this disc in particular I would put the Turn at -2 and in Atomic it would be closer to -3.

When thrown on Hyzer: it will flip up flat, give you a decent amount of turn then fade back to flat.

When thrown flat: This disc will turn for 90% of the flight and fade back at the very end.

When thrown on Anny: This disc will flip over and depending on height, will either turn into a roller pan out right (RHBH) for all of the flight.

All in all, this is a wonderful disc that makes a great introduction to 9 speeds for beginners. Get yours and try it for yourself!

I have this in 173g in the Cosmic plastic.

I throw around 450 max distance for reference

This has easily become a staple in my bag. I can throw this effortlessly 360. If thrown flat or slightly hyzered, it will give a solid turn, then it starts to fight out. You can get a very consistent S-curve out of this disc. This was a mystery disc that has opened my eyes to the ease of using an understable disc. It feels great in the hand and I trust the RPM Plastic.

If you are a beginner, I might recommend a more understable plastic, like the Atomic or their baseline.

Love this disc. It flies farther than my distance drivers so far, probably cause I can actually get this one to flip up and get on nice lines. This really is my go to shot shaping disc. The fade at the end is reliable as I have not had this disc not flip back to hyzer for me. Got a couple holes where there is water or a hill on the right and I trust this disc to get some distance but come back from the beyond haha.
Also their cosmic and atomic plastic is amazing and takes dye really well.

I have this disc in two plastics, the RPM Glow and Cosmic and as with all RPM discs, these discs are PRETTY and feel AMAZING in the hand!!

RPM Glow - I definitely found this to be pretty true to the flight numbers and, I gotta say, it does have some sneaky glide! The flight numbers according to RPM are 9, 6, -3, 1 and for this plastic, I would agree on that. This is a great hyzer flip to turn with a straighter finish, or I can use it on significant hyzer to flip up and then hold. When thrown flat with some power (though it is possible to overpower a flat throw and it will dump and roll if you do), this disc will turn and hold the line for days and not really turn at the end. If thrown on anhyzer with power, it will become a roller, but if you pull back on the power (or maybe don't have as high of an arm speed yet) it will hold that line to the end, assuming it is given enough height.

Cosmic - This one I have to say is probably closer to the numbers 9, 6, -2, 1 as it seems to have be a bit bit more overstable out of the box. If thrown flat with power, it will turn and then have a bit more fade than the Glow, but not by much. If thrown on hyzer with power, it will flip up to flat, ride the line and then have a gentle fade at the end. If thrown on anhyzer with power (and given some height) it will hold the line before straightening out to finish. Sky anhyzer with this disc is FUN, but again, power and angle control are KEY to getting this disc to fly on your intended line if trying a sky anhyzer as if your anhyzer angle is to steep or you throw it too hard with anhyzer, you will get an unintentional sky roller.

If you are a beginner, I suggest going with the Strata (since base plastic is normally more understable) for getting some sneaky distance and straight lines, but if you are just above beginner or in intermediate, then grab either Glow or Cosmic and try it out. You won't be disappointed. I have yet to get one in Atomic, and I will update when I do and get out to throw it on a few rounds or even during my field work, but I believe that it will fly close to how the Cosmic one flies.

I got the Pekapeka to replace my Hatchets. What I found is that it actually replaced my Hatchets AND Northmans...Literally replaced 2 slots with one disc. Again, if you haven't held RPM premium plastic in your hand yet (Atomic and Cosmic), you need to...This 9 speed disc feels great in the hand and I get some really nice easy distance. My Cosmic is more OS than my Atomic. This disc is a hyzer flip machine. You can get Distance Driver type of distance with it but easy to throw like a fairway. And my atomic Pekapeka will hold an anhyzer line as well. Great for long turnovers and hyzer flipping through the woods. Also my beat in Atomic one is my new roller disc. Really fun to throw and surprising how far it goes as well as how nice and stable the Cosmic Pekapekas are.

I got this as a mystery disc in the glow plastic.  At first I was like "yeah whatever, I'll probably never use this."  I put it in my bag because it was a gift.  I threw it on a couple practice throws after I threw my initial tee shot and it just kept surprising me.  I kept landing it closer than my actual tee shot on holes that I throw a hyzer flip.  This thing starting getting more and more use on the course until it was one of my favorite discs for any understable need.  Unfortunately, it's now buried in the snow on a course, waiting for it to melt so it can come home.

    175g Cosmic Plastic

Summary: My peka peka is stable to overstable in cosmic plastic. Great durable premium plastic. Fairly shallow and feels really good in my medium size hand. Fun disc to have from selecting the "mystery disc" option in checkout. The flight path doesn't really work for my tournament weekend setup, but it goes into my bag sometimes as a forehand disc cuz I like how it feels.

Flight: This one has a confusing flight for me. Mine is way off the flight numbers. I'm no pro, but I can hit 400-425 pretty consistently with enough room. I can't get mine to turn AT ALL. Very stable. Not like overstable meat hook or anything, but no hyzer flips with mine. But it's also lower glide than many discs in this spot. I wouldn't call this a 5 glide, mine is a solid 4. It's like I want it to have more finish or more push forward with the glide. Not really working for my game at the moment.

Feel: Amazing. The edge of the wing on this disc is rounded nicely for a 9 speed. It's fairly flat and a bit shallow but the top still has some curve to it, so certainlty not board flat. It reminded me of a flatter Discraft Heat, which also has a certain "roundness" to the wing and rim. Really bummed the flight isn't working for me, because the feel in the hand is awesome.

Another disc I received as a mystery disc, and I'm a big fan.  All the other reviews hold true and I hope to get way more comfortable with this understable beauty.

I love this disc.   For me, it is easy to throw and flies true to the numbers.   It only took a handful of throws for me to trust this disc.

It's also fun to yell out Pekapeka every time I pull it out of the bag.   Pekapeka means small flying mammal.  You learned something today.  :)

My son-in-law struggles with high throws (RHBH) that fade hard left. Many beginners do. The Peka gives him some success by counteracting this tendency. I think this is a solid disc for new players who are still building arm speed. And after they build the arm speed, this will be a great understable disc for right fades.

I love this disc.  I'm too new to the sport to really give a super accurate flight review, but this disc is a consistent flyer for me.  It's really comfortable in the hands, looks sharp, and most importantly has a reliable turn and fade.  It gets a nice fading flight at the end for me and doesn't dive bomb the ground.  It's not super skippy, and settles down on the ground pretty quickly.  I have this in the cosmic and atomic.  They both feel great.  I've been throwing the cosmic on the course, but I think I'll play the atomic more as it cools and the air becomes more dewy and condensation is more prone to effect the grip on the disc.  They are both pretty grippy but the atomic is grippier IMO.  Great disc.

    Update, 3 Weeks Later....

This. Is. My. Disc.   I love this disc and it has become the most reached for disc in my bag.  The variety of shots I feel like I can predictably and repeatedly throw with this disc is insane to me.  Thrown with a lot of hyzer it will ride that line.  Thrown with slight hyzer it will flip up, fly straight, and dependably fade left.  Thrown relatively flat this disc will turn right and finish left with the nice S curved flight.  Thrown with some slight anhyzer and it will turn and turn and turn. I have a lot more confidence throwing this to turn than I do with my forehand shot.  I absolutely love this disc.  I find the atomic to be more understable that the cosmic and I bag both currently.  I've got a glow on the way!
