My most overstable 7 speed in my bag. Flies more like 7 4 0 3. Excellent windfighter.

flew like a slightly better version of an explorer for me, but the atomic plastic didn't work for me. I like a plastic that won't beat in so quickly and after hitting first available into a big tree once it went from an explorer to being something closer  to a river or a fd3 with less predictability.

The new version of this disc is a 5. The beat in version is a 3. so it gets a 4.

This is a good flying disc but it didn't fit my hand good when I first got it. But then I learned to throw forehand and now this is my go to disc. It is a slightly less stable teebird imo and I love it for forehand throws

Received a white max weight Huia in Atomic plastic; I found this disc extremely overstable and glideless. The only shots this disc thrived at were shorter backhand skips and tight forehand flex lines. The disc also is a bit bulky in the hand where I would much prefer a more shallow mold. Wouldn't recommend due to the fact that its niche tasks can be done by a OS 9-speed just as well.

This disc is so necessary for every bag. Great plastic, 7 speed, so the rim isn't too big and it's easy to grip. And it's so reliable. Out of the box my Huias are OS like an Eagle. Very reliable for FH and BH. I have started to beat my Atomic in a little bit and now it's going straighter and straighter and still has the fade at the end. Again I can BH or FH this and it won't turn over. I love throwing this for like 285-310 shot that I need to go straight for a long time and then hook up and fade at the end but not a crazy huge fade. Get one of these and let it beat in and you will have a MONEY disc. Perfect compliment to the Pekapeka.

I found this disc on a used rack- it had a sweet stamp from some tournament in Canada, so I of course bought it (Atomic, 176g).
On the first throw, I realized that this disc was far more overstable than I expected. In fact, I had a friend who has a lot more power than I do tell me he bought one that was more overstable than his Firebird FAF. That's fine, I have no problem repurposing discs, so I started to use it as a big skip/spike Hyzer disc. It worked fine for that for maybe a month (I didn't throw it a ton) before beating in to flying very straight. That's fine, I have no problem repurposing discs, so I started to use it for straight shots.... another month of non-extensive use and it's almost unthrowably understable.
Long story short, Atomic plastic is not something I'm going to try again.

PDGA Approved in 2019, the Huia has quickly become a very important part of my bag. This stable to overstable fairway driver was quick to replace the Volt in my bag but with more stability. I don't have to worry about the Huia flipping over in the wind, especially a newer Cosmic or Atomic variety of it. As a left handed player, I can rely on this disc when I want to throw hard and still get a reliable finish to the right. With that being said, with some anhyzer angle, I can also get some decent turn and glide out of it. I have a Strata (baseline) Huia which I can really get to turn over to the left but still get a nice fade at the end of the flight. The feel in the hand can take some getting used to, to be honest but once I discovered how workable this disc is, I don't see it ever leaving my bag. I have about 5 or 6 backups just in case I ever end up losing one. However I don't see that happening anytime in the near future because every time I reach for the Huia, it does exactly what I want it to do without having to worry. If I need to go right (once again as a predominantly LHBH thrower) for shots that are sub 300' the Huia is it for me. Also worth mentioning, the few times I have tried the Huia for a sidearm throw (only because I hardly ever flick) it has always worked out for me. Overall just a great stable to overstable fairway driver that you can always rely on. If you are interested in learning more about the Huia, please consider checking out the video below.

I got a Strata Huia from a starter set, and I was a huge fan of this disc. Without a lot of speed, it still wanted to fly pretty straight and true. With some more power, I was able to get some turn out of the disc and gently fade back out. For beginners, this driver would be a great option to practice building up speed and power. For more experienced players, I would definitely recommend the Huia for utility/fairway shots. Solid disc!

    I LOVE THIS DISC

It is dead straight with soft fade. This is my go to fairway driver when I need to laser a shot down a fairway.

This disc flies very straight, but I could not get it to fly very far. I'm not a bomber, but I can usually get a disc a good distance down the fairway; not this one. The plastic itself is great, the stamp is cool - it's a beautiful disc. I tried it a couple of rounds, and I think I'll just stick with my Clash.

I Love this disc, highly recommend. I got the Atomic plastic and its somewhere between Innovas Champion and Star plastic. this disc has become my go to disc for all my stable drives, also RPM has some of the coolest stamps and disc colors on the market. its not as overstable as the numbers let on

Picked this up as my first control driver after my starter pack leopard had run its course for me, and wow this thing was an awesome purchase. I'm lucky that I played my first round in New Zealand so that I knew about this company or else I never would've bought it. This thing is an awesome progression from your starter pack drivers for beginners. Initially I was able to get very good distance for what I was throwing at the time. Though if you're a more advanced player you may find it a nice option to throw hyzer flip ups, because no matter how hard you throw this thing, it will flip up to flat but never fully turn over. Great Utility disc.

When I first felt this disc, I thought it would be like a latitude 64 explorer, but I think its a little less stable than that (somewhere between a saint and explorer). It feels great! The plastic is grippy and amazing and the flight is extremely neutral. I feel like it is more of a 7/5/-.5/1 and I don't even have a huge arm. It would be great for a beginner that is starting to get more distance or an advanced player that wants a straight flyer through the woods.

The biggest thing that can be said about RPM is how their plastics stand to differentiate themselves in the details. The discs tend to be so comfortable in the hand and the Huia is no exception.

Very beginner friendly in the classic 7 speed design, this disc will float it's way into turning out consistent reliable S-curves.

This thing is basically a teebird that I find preferable because RPMs plastic is amazing! Atomic feels great and has proven very durable so far. I love this disc for shots 300-350 that need a relatively straight path. Holds angles well too. I get a little bit of turn and it’s not a true head wind fighter if you’re going to rip it, but I can depend on it to be stable enough.

I bag this and a TL for fairways and this is the more stable of the 2 for both forehand and backhand.

Great teebird alternative, definitely give a shot!

Another great addition from RPM! Absolutely love this disc and after having it for a week it had already replaced my teebird in my bag(within a month I have used it far more often then I ever used my teebird).  It has the stability to handle a flick and some headwind but does not dump too much at the end.  It has a gentle fade so you are able to still get decent distance for a 7 speed, but still, get a consistent flight.  It is my new go-to for any shots that I can't reach with a Kea, or are not quite a Thunderbird.

If you haven't tried any of RPM discs this would be a great first one to try as it could make a  pros or beginners bag.  The atomic plastic is awesome as it has great grip and the stamps are some of the nicest stock ones you'll find!
