    XL size

I live in western Washington where it will be raining or snowing for the foreseeable future, so if I wish to play before our brief summer, then grip gloves will be needed. At first feel the XL gloves feel a bit smaller than XL, so keep that in mind when deciding on a size. I tested these out in the rain/snow last night and I did not have any problem keeping my hold on the discs. I actually think I was getting a little better spin while throwing, as I could comfortable maintain my hold using grips that were usually precarious. If you live in anywhere that tends to be grey in color, then I strongly suggest picking up at least one glove for your primary throwing hand. If you play early morning rounds and the dew is a problem, then it may also be a good idea.

Great grip for the PNW rain and cold.

These gloves have saved my round several times when it rains and my towels are useless. Even if the disc and gloves are wet, Friction Gloves will maintain reliable grip.

Was very skeptical of how these might work but I suffer from some mild arthritis and the cold weather just makes it worse.  A fellow golfer had some of these on and they like them a lot so figured I would get a pair and try them out.  They do keep your hands decently warm but they give you lots of grip.  For my hands this turned out to be a great thing, especially for forehand shots.  As a backhand they didn't hinder my throws at all but with forehand it gave me a lot of grip to really put some spin on the disc.  So well in fact that I put one on to throw a forehand now.  I don't think the grip will hold up too long but not sure as these are fairly new still.  Will update the review if needed later.

So, I'm totally not a glove wearer but, I had to do something. The cold, dry air has been taking a toll on my hands. The winter temperatures have been messing with my release. Snow melting from the heat of my hands onto the disc has been a problem.

Until now! I was super skeptical of these gloves. The reviews everywhere were all positive from people like me. Well, after a few grip adjustments,  I am sold on these!

My putting felt very confident.  The gloves just work. Over mitts are required to keep warm on the walk to the next tee unless you pick up the warm version.

Im curious how they work in the spring and fall. Friction Gloves may bring some consistency to changing weather situations.

These are great for long practice sessions, playing courses, practice putting, etc. My hands were getting cut up from throwing new discs and I originally wanted something that would help protect my hand/fingers from rough plastic on the disc. Once I got accustomed to these gloves I started using them all the time. The extra finger grip is excellent to have for someone with smaller hands like myself. The only con I have is that they take some getting used to due to the inevitability of gloves making your fingers feel "fatter". It can feel like your fingers are bunching together when making a power grip, but my throws with the gloves haven't been hurt compared to without. If anything I've had better throws due to the gloves allowing me to get a better fan grip on discs that would previously be too wobbly due to hand size. Overall I'd recommend them for anyone playing the sport whose experiencing issues with blisters, cuts, slippery grip.

I received these gloves as a Christmas gift this past year, and they came in handy over the winter months. I pretty much get outside and throw EVERY day, no matter the weather, so when it's wet out, these gloves are nice for grip, and save you time from having to dry off your disc after every throw.

They do take some getting used to, but not very long, and I actually enjoyed using them after I did get used to them. The only that I would improve on them would be to make them water proof. They get wet/soaked and begin stretching and wearing more quickly.

I was also going to recommend making a glove with grip that is also for keeping your hands warm, but then I saw that this same company already offers that, so that sounds like something I may check out!

All in all, if you want better grip for disc golf, give these a try! I know players that use them year round and prefer them to no gloves at all.

My crew and I were lucky enough to be sent a pair of Friction Gloves to do a review video on by Friction Gloves themselves. I'm going to be completely honest here. When I first found out that we were going to be doing a review video, I didn't have high hopes for the gloves. I have never been a fan of people throwing with gloves on. To me, it seems like it would create tons of inconsistencies. With all this being said, I was actually blown away by how much I liked these gloves. We grabbed a bunch of different discs with tons of different plastic types from different manufactures and threw them all down in a bucket of water. We put the glove on and reached in the water to get each disc out before throwing it. Each disc we threw (and the glove) was soaking wet! Believe it or not, we had absolutely no grip issues with any of the different plastics. I could not believe how well we were able to grip with the discs and gloves being wet. If anything, the gloves gave us even more grip than we had before. If you are looking for something to use during those rainy tournament rounds where you can't quite get a grip on the disc... this is exactly what you need!
