Such an awesome bag. The plastic bottom helps keep the bag standing up and helps to keep it dry in wet conditions. Lots of storage. I usually carry about 25 discs total, about 8 mids/putters (not including the putter pocket) and the rest drivers and fairways, the easy access putter pocket is sweet and i haven't had any problems with them falling out. Plenty of space to pack whatever you need on the course, jacket, extra towel, snacks and so much more. I don't usually use the water bladder as I carry around a 32 ounce bottle that fits on the side pouch, but it seems to be out of the way and wont interfere with taking out discs if you have any in the top pouch. The included rain fly is super secure and is a must have for those rainy days. Straps are comfortable and secure for those long courses. I highly recommend this bag if you're in the market for a new tournament style bag. Nothing but praise for this thing.
This backpack is the ultimate feature! It has everything one can imagine from storing your discs, to stool, minis and other stuff. And don't forget the premium feature of the water bladder! This makes frolfing all the more the merrier! Especially in this Patriotic styled themed along with my tournament seat that is a great attachment. I can fit up to 30 discs. If I were to take the water bladder feature out of the bag slide another few more discs in there. But get thirsty during the cold dark round days. All my friends can't get over how cool my backpack is. Also I added key chains to the sides and a towel for complete features. For looking to avoid the golf cart luggage this truly is a great investment.
I have been carrying the Ranger H2O bag for about a year now and I have not had any problems with it and it is holding up great. It has plenty of room for everything you could ever need on the course. The main compartment comfortably holds 20 discs. I usually have 6 mids and 14 drivers in the main compartment. The side putter pocket is in a great spot. It comfortably holds 2 putters that can be reached while wearing the bag. It has a top pocket for a water bladder, but that pocket is a perfect fit for more discs. I put my two main approach discs in the top pocket and they fit perfect and very conveniently located. So, the bag can comfortably hold 24 discs and still has PLENTY of room for other things. It has two water bottle holders, one large and one smaller one. The large one can easily hold my 40oz water bottle. The smaller water bottle holder has a strap above it that I use to hold my stool. There is also a convenient phone holder plenty big for an iPhone 7 plus. The other side of the bag has another pocket that I use for my birdie bag and the outside of that pocket has 2 pencil holders and a pocket for a mini. Finally, the top storage compartment is huge. Plenty of room for anything from a hoodie, sweat pants, snacks, extra towels and even more discs. The bag can get pretty heavy when fully loaded but that is expected. It is a very well-made bag and I would highly recommend it.
This was the second backpack bag I ever owned, and it made me regret selling my first backpack.
The Good:
-Super comfortable, straps are nice, cushioned, and not too thick.
-Comes with a rain fly which is effortless to install.
-THE TOP POCKET IS HUGE! Room for all sorts of stuff, you can even fit a hoodie with some extra small items.
-The side pockets are big enough for multiple smaller items (phone, wallets, keys, snacks)
-Main disc compartment maxed out at 21 discs for me. Comfortably to get discs in and out I would recommend 18 or 19 discs.
-Side putter pocket holds 2 but you could cram an extra in there if wanted, but it will not be easy to get the putters in or out.
-Comes with a water bladder, a pocket designed for it, and 2 water bottle/umbrella/stool holders for those long/multiple rounds.
-Bag is durable. The bottom is made from ABS molded plastic that holds up well for a long time.
The Bad:
-Unless you fill the main disc compartment tight (18 minimum) with discs, be prepared for discs to fall out of your bag. Lost 2 discs in one day with this bag, because at the time I didn't like to carry a lot of discs. This can easily be fixed by fitting in more discs but, you should not have to buy or carry more discs than you would like for a bag to properly store them.
-The bag as a whole seemed to be top heavy and tip over easy for me.
-Bottom of the bag has ridges for discs which I did not like and it didn't seem to hold the discs any better.
TL;DR: Bag is great, and durable with a lot of storage. But... one negative thing completely destroyed my view and opinion of this bag. I shouldn't have to pack my bag full of discs to stop discs from falling out.
Just bought this bag and I'm very impressed. I have used it 3 rounds already and I find it very comfortable. Some of the reviews I have read stated the putter pocket was too loose and disc fell out when bending over. I have 2 putters in the putter pocker (love the location by the way) and have bent over mutiple times and they have not fallen out. The straps are very comfortable and the addition of the sternum straps helps on steep and awkard terrain. I carred 20 discs in the main compartment and could have shoved another one ( it would have been tight though). The rain fly works great (used it once) and the plastic bottom kept everything dry. I read that some people complained that the rain fly covers up the side pockets. It was not that difficult to undo the velcro on one side, grab what you needed and reattach the rain fly. So far this has been a great purchase, I like the addition of the water bladder, makes it nice as your walking to your disc to grab a quick drink of H2O. The only problem I have found with this bag is when the water bladder is full and you set your bag down on a slope with the bladder side downhill, it tips (topheavy). Simple solution turn the bag sideways didnt tip. If your looking for a new backpack, I would highly recommend this one.
