Probably one of the most interesting feeling putters I have ever thrown, the PA-4 comes in with a reasonably deep feel to it. It is definitely a putter that feels great for throwing although i can see some people enjoying the grip to putt with. The PA-4 i have been throwing is in teh 400G plastic which i believe behaves a bit more overstable than one would think.

The PA-4 is in it's element being thrown down a tight or snaking fairway through the woods. This disc has a excellent glide to it and an incredibly straight/neutral flight to it. I found I could make this disc do just about anything i wanted within the 200-250 range. I think that the benefit of using the 400g Plastic for this mold is that it will still fade out at the end and it will hold its stability for awhile as it took me a few rounds of use to really get any turn out of this disc without having to throw it reasonably hard. This disc is surprisingly comfortable for those touchy forehand shots as well. This disc for putting really did not jive with my grip so my experiences putting with it were not really all that grand, its lofty nature makes it a decent pick for those circle 2 and out long putts though!

The PA-4 favors a tailwind with that big glide, but in the 400g plastic it was quite content in mild head winds in the range of 5-9 mph.

The PA-4 is a fantastic beginner disc it is very forgiving and a very true flier and I think this disc will serve new players well.

Overall the PA-4 is a pretty neat disc,I think as a neutral to understable driving putter it definitely serves its role well. The feel on the disc will probably be one of the factors that will make or break it for you as i feel challenged to recommend it for more than putting but realize others hands may be the perfect fit for a disc like this.

A great throwing or putting putter. This disc is amazing of the tee for hyzer flip shots either backhand or forehand. Great for all levels!!

A frind of mine wanted to play catch, and whipped out a 156g 400g Pa-4. I figured this would be a perfect disc as the inaugural "Left Hand" review for this account. I tried this disc on all sorts of angles and shots, and found it very useful for my left hand.

Initial review: This disc goes straight with a good amount of fade when it slows down

Feel in the hand: Since I'm not used to throwing left handed, everything feels a little weird in my hand. At first I thought the Pa-4 felt terrible in my hand, but as I threw it more and more I adjusted my grip and I liked it a lot more. We were playing in wet grass, and the disc would get pretty slippery when wet.

Further research: The Pa-4 quickly became a favorite, mainly because my left hand needs a lot of technical work. Even with the wobbly "Off Axis Torque" I was getting, the disc wasn't too understable to handle it. It would flip without a clean release, but I rarely turned it over and definitely couldn't turn it over into a roller. For the most part, the Pa-4 would actually fade pretty hard at the end for me, meaning I still can put more power on it. I was able to get some pretty decent straight and accurate shots out, which is really difficult when learning the game for the first time.

Conclusion: My left hand is much weaker than my right hand. My right hand gives this a 3,4,-1,1 but it acted much more stable for my weaker left arm. My left gives this disc a 3, 3, 0, 1. Even when I was able to get a good anhyzer release, the disc always fought out of it. I would absolutely recommend this disc for beginners because it helped me learn a lot of things about my left hand and how to throw accurate shots from a short distance.

The 400g Pa-4 was surprisingly stable. I was testing out a Japan Open 156g version, and it was surprisingly similar to a max weight version.

Feel of the Disc: Disc feels pretty good in my small hands, feels good for driving (fan grip) but not so good for a putting grip for me

First impressions (flight): This disc is very straight. My first throw was a dead straight 100 foot throw and catch to a friend.

Further research: When testing this disc from various distances, I found that I like this disc as an upshot disc. My favorite distance to throw it was around 100-175 feet. From this distance I could throw it on any line. The disc flew pretty understable, but definitely had enough stability to hold a hyzer line when thrown softly with a good hyzer angle. I would give it a flight rating of 3, 4, -1, 1. I think the suggested numbers are pretty accurate, other than I think it has more than a 3 glide. the reason for this is the ability fot the disc to stay in the air on an anhyzer line.

Disc Comparison: The 400g plastic reminds me most closely of the 400s plastic for the Pa-4. Probably because they are essentially the same plastic. This disc most closely resembles a Gateway Magic, but the 400g plastic flies a little more overstable than Gateway's baseline plastics. It is like a more stable Wedge, but it is less stable than an Aviar. For Innova products I think the flight most closely resembles a slow version of the Colt.

Conclusion: I would use the 400g Pa-4 for an upshot or short tee putter. The 156g plastic was exceptionally stable compared to other light weight putters on the market. So if a lower arm speed thrower is looking for an easy to throw putter without losing too much stability with the lighter weight, the 400g Pa-4 might be a great choice.
