The H4 V2 is the retooled H4 in Prodigy's line of Hybrid Drivers. It is an excellent choice for players of all skill levels. Like the other retooled hybrid drivers, the H4 V2 has a slightly shallower rim and a sharper nose than the original H4, offering a more comfortable grip along with increased speed and glide. With a smooth high-speed turn and a soft, gentle finish, the slightly understable flight fills the hole between the H3 V2 and the H5.

    500 Details

500 Plastic was development over a considerable period of time to formulate a blend based upon player feedback. It has a stiffer, less gummy feel than 400 Plastic. The 500 blend provides an extremely confident grip on the firm, yet flexible flight plate. It also provides a very solid feeling rim.

    Prodigy Discs H4 V2 500 Plastic

I got this disc hoping for a neutral flying 10 speed that could slot in for straight shots in woods or foot good controlled distance with minimal side to side movement that could get a little further than my 9 speeds.

I found that it's rim tends to feel like a 9 speed in the hand and the mold itself was odd. the flight plate meeting the rim seems to have flaws in the plastic, it looks bubbled up around the whole rim being roughly two tiered around the whole disc, with the shoulder and the dome of the flight plate not lining up. Only other time I've seen something like this was the first run Scorch's I got which both flew wildly different from their flight numbers. Anyways I still had some optimism that things would be different this time around when it came to throwing the H4 V2.

The H4 V2 comes out of the hand quite fast, similar in my opinion to how the Emac Truth comes out quite fast for a 5 speed, likely due to the shallow nature of the disc. Despite this the flight of the disc was neutral but not in a good way. While the net flight of the disc was neutral it was extremely easy to turn over, more so than the flight numbers would suggest, and then would fight out and get to the ground very quickly. So while it was neutral technically, it was a massive S-flight despite being thrown flat with relatively controlled power. I also couldn't help but notice once the disc gets to flat while starting to fade out it wants to get to the grown very quickly again, maybe due to the shallowness again. I also got a Supreme Escape at the same time as this H4V2 and throwing them during field work I didn't get anymore distance and the Escape, while more stable, is much more consistent for the slot I'm trying to fill and gets the same distance.

Overall I really didn't enjoy this disc outside of the feel of the plastic, it is Prodigy Plastic which typically feels great but this also had significant flashing on the underside of the rim. I'm typically pretty forgiving to discs as most can slot into some place in someones bag but I just really can't see this being more useful than other discs for anyone.

    TL:DR
    Pros
    -Nice Plastic
    Cons
    -Flash
    -Low Glide
    -Manufacturing Errors?
    -High Turn and Fade.

174g 400 Glow - This disc is more flexible than most of my other discs, can get a good grip on it too. It flies very similar to my Valkyrie. My second ever Ace came with this disc on a hole that I had to do an uphill hyzer shot on. Everyone needs a control drive in their bag that they can flip up to flat or do a controlled turnover shot with. This could be the one for you if you like a slightly flexible disc with a grippy plastic.

My son threw this disc in the water by accident about 9 months ago, and it was returned to me about 3 months ago. I threw it a few times trying to get in sync with it again, but something was off. I am not sure if this disc being under water for 6 months changed it, but it seemed to not fly the same for me. The flight path was similar, but it did not get the same amount of distance as my other understable control drivers. This disc has since been retired, but you never know when your arm speed and technique will change and this disc might be back in the bag again.  My Halo Star Leopard3 is currently in the bag filling this spot for me.

Got a 750 plastic x-out H4-V2.Good disc for moderate arms. Not overly under or over stable.  A little touchy if you don't throw it just right, but if you nail your throw you'll be rewarded with a very controllable flight, perfect for flipping up to flat.
