The D2 Max is the D2 retooled edition. The Prodigy D2 Max is overstable, but not quite as overstable as the D1 Max. It has a higher degree of high speed turn, and slightly less low-speed fade. This driver is used by players with a variety of skill levels.

I just started playing this sport (for the first time) 2 weeks ago. I picked up this disc and as a Beginner throw this disc 220-245 ft. on average (Backhand), 200-220 ft. (Forehand) like the flight path has indicated (contingent on height of initial flight path). It also has the potential to roll or skip well if desired. It is my GO TO.

I have really enjoyed getting to throw this disc as of late! I have been trying out to go to distance drivers because my usual one is getting too flippy because of a combination of my arm speed growing and it taking on more wear. So far, this one is definitely the leading candidate and I just played a tournament (a mostly wooded and short holes one albeit) with this as my distance driver (threw it on two holes). I have found that it has a nice turn to it, one that I have heard about destroyers having but have never experienced myself. It is definitely a shallower rim that a destroyer or D3 has. I have a D1 Max that has the same feel so maybe it is just a max thing. I would say mine has a reliable but not hard fade to it to where I could throw it in a decent head wind but would put it on a hyzer. I throw a decent amount of FH's and I really like it for that. The shallow rim feels great for my forehand and this has enough turn that I can get a nice S curve out of it when thrown hard and flat. I don't however feel like it glides more than my other distance drivers that I get turn out of. Mine seems pretty flat so maybe it is just a specific run thing or maybe the 400G plastic has more dome to it. Overall, I love it!

Perhaps I should have gone for the 400G instead of 400 but I can't seem to hold onto this disc long enough to get a good throw out of it.  I'm a forehand driver and wanted to see how this compared to the Destroyer.  I liked all that I read but its just that tiny bit narrower of a profile that it slides out of my grip a split second early and just goes a little right before fading way right.  I'll keep trying it from time to time but man its frustrating throwing this as occasionally I'll get a throw where I hold onto it long enough to get a glimpse of what the disc could be but for now its back to the old faithful.

just got this disc, and have only played 2 rounds with it. first day was super windy, i threw it for most of my drives and it was straight as an arrow (a couple times i forced it over a little too much and it took off, but that was my fault). the next day wasn't nearly as windy, and its definitely slightly overstable as the numbers would suggest. but that's what i wanted, and why i decided to go with this disc over the D3-Max. love the feel and flexibility of the 400 plastic, but plan on getting another one of these discs in my favorite plastic on the planet (400G).

I would say the numbers that infinite lists for this disc are dead on! if you have a 400' arm you can get this disc to flip up and see a little turn before that reliable fade.

The D2 Max has been my go-to max distance driver since its release. I am a RHFH thrower and it added 40-50 ft on my max distance. I love throwing this disc  on a slight hyzer and watching it glide to the left with a hard finish to the right. Throw it flat and it will go forever with a smooth finish to the right. Must have disc in my opinion.

This is my farthest D2 two in my bag and I bag 4-5 D2s. The d2 max just has the glide to maximize your distance! No more worrying about them long holes! This is a disc for ever level of play from  beginners to the pros. A must have disc in even bag!

The D2max that I have is surprisingly my most overstable driver! There is a decent dome but the rim feels meaty on this one I have. I use it for my long range hyzer lines or lower skips.

This is my go-to distance driver, unless there is more than a light headwind.  For Max distance drives, starting is off on a moderate anhyzer will do you no harm as the D2 Max will find its' way back to center!  I also enjoy the thinner profile for long forehand lines; this thing can really crush!

Great driver. Somewhat less stable than a D2 but more stable than a D3 for some people. If you have a big distance arm this disc will make a great hyzer flip to flat or turn disc.

The D2 max is such a great disc! Thanks to it being slightly shallower in height compared to the original D2, it flies farther and in my opinion is the farthest flying disc in the Prodigy lineup. Combine that with reliable stability and this is my main distance driver for everything except for massive tailwinds or decently strong headwinds.

I am loving this disc for my power forehands because I don't have to worry too much about tur ing it over. It takes a bit of a bigger arm to really get full advantage of it.

Great disc for a starter of a pro! Easy to throw and get up to flat and get the full distance! Added 60 ft to my drive because this disc has an amazing amount of glide! Love how prodigy disc are flying and couldn’t ask for anything else to throw and compete with!

I got the chance to throw this disc and I have to say that this is a great Destroyer clone. I'm not knocking the Destroyer clones. If I did I'd have to knock all the other companies that put out their version of it. Raider, Razeri, Recoil, Kong, Outlaw just to name a few...Every disc I just mentioned has a marketing team that understands how important this site is for golfers. We get to see what is being said by others except for Prodigy. My favorite disc is Prodigy's  A3; the H3V2 is the best disc to hit the market in years in my opinion. I'm not sponsored by anyone so like the rest of us and I'm guessing that would be around 99% of us I have the privilege to throw a mix bag. Having said that I have checked everyday and I mean everyday for reviews fo the D2 Max. There is only one and its good and accurate but only one. what is wrong with Prodigy's marketing team or is it the ownership? that they don't care enough to get some reviews for us. I bought two Kongs, one to throw and one to save. It's a great disc but not as good as the D2 Max in my opinion. I can purchase 999 of them off of this site but can only chose between 50 of the D2 Max. Also, look at the other Destroyer like discs reviews compared to this disc, it's shameful. Hey Sepo can you look into this?
