As a beginner, I love this disc, the orbital was my first really understable driver and it has never disappointed me. It has helped me on my local course on holes that go around trees to the right.

This was my first step up from the wave and at a slower arm speed, it seems to ride flat and straight with little turn and a slower speed stability that can get you through those tunnels that dump to the left if thrown RHBH.
If you can control your spin rate then this disc will fill multiple spots. At higher spin-rate I have seen it walk noticeably to the right at the high-speed spin of your throw-it flat RHBH but mid-flight it holds straight and at the end of the flight when it gets to a slower spin it will act over stable and dump.
So the beginning of the flight turns hard. Mid-flight acts neutral and holds flat. The end of the flight acts stable.

    163g Neutron MVP Orbital

I throw RHBH and LHFH so both have the same flight path. The MVP Orbital is a very understable disc that fills a hole in my kit. This disc is useful for any shot requiring distance with obstructions to the right.

If you are a new player looking to learn how to develop a hyzer flip this is for you. If you are an intermediate player looking to develop a roller this is also for you. The orbital is an EXTREMELY understable distance driver. The orbital found its way into my bag because of my weak forehand game. I needed a flippy driver that I could hyzer flip to a late turnover to give myself a "pseudo" forehand flight path. While not as good as an actual forehand, the Orbital is working as a serviceable crutch while I try to figure out how to throw a forehand more than 100ft.  If you're an advanced player you probably won't be able to get much use out of this thing outside of using it for throllers or some wild tailwind drives. Often times understable discs can be unreliable as they have a wide range of possible outcomes, however with the orbital this isn't the case. Its extreme instability is its reliability. You can pretty much always rely on this thing to flip up flat and turn for you even if you have a noodle arm.

I have "Dad Bod arm". Previous should surgery limits my ability to be too aggressive on my drives. This 11 speed driver allows me to launch comfortably 200-275 consistently. It stays on line depending on release angle. I consider this one to be more of a "control driver" in my bag.

I almost giggle every time I throw this disc. It took me nearly an entire season to respect it's understability.

I found an Orbital on a course, texted the guy and he said keep it. Cool! new toy! When the wind is right and the form is smooth and with not too much power, this disc has become pretty useful for me. I primarily use it for vey steep uphill drives. I usually only put two fingers under it and release at a 7 o'clock heiser angle and watch her go! Mine is 157 grams and is also sweet for low, short flip up shots. I throw it a lot more than I thought  would! Get one and develop your understable game.

I was swapping discs with a buddy and ended up with an Orbital. The disc was  beat in and understable. I liked the disc if for a tailwind, but other than that I couldn't control the flip. Occasionally I got the hyzer right while field testing and the disc got some great distance. Since I already have roller disc (Mamba) I doubt the disc will ever make my bag. I might try a new one at some point.

So, who would throw this disc? Beginners without big distance would find this a great distance driver. Also, people looking for a roller disc or sky turnover shots.

A well seasoned, very beat-in Orbital is possibly the most understable high speed driver on the market. Of course, I am not including light weight drivers in this assessment, but as far as max weight understability, this thing has got to take the cake. This is perfect for my weak little noodle arm. I play at intermediate and can get a decent amount of distance but for some reason, I can't get enough spin on a lot of discs to make a roller out of them unless I step down to a lower speed like a fairway. So as far as a high speed roller disc goes, this is the best option for myself. My well seasoned Neutron Orbital is a disc that I can throw with hyzer and still get it to flip over and roll. This is great because I never have to force it over and set it down directly on the ground off the tee to get it to roll. I can actually get quite a bit of distance off the tee before it will hit the ground and roll for a long way. This leads to me getting much more distance on my rollers than if I were to overpower something and set it down right off the tee. Another reason I love my Orbital is when I need a ton of long slow turn. I can power down and throw this thing about 60% power and it will just turn turn turn turn! If you struggle with getting a good roller down, try out an Orbital. if it doesn't work for you right away, don't give up on it because a well seasoned Orbital is definitely money for rollers!

The Orbital is an amazing disc for specific types of shots. My local course has some shots through the trees where you need to sail straight for about 150', then turn right for a while, then turn left. The Orbital makes this a breeze with a big hyzer flip, turn, then every so slight fade.

This thing will hold an anny forever. Another local shot is a long 300+ foot anny and the orbital holds the arc the entire way. If it fades at the end of one of these shots it only fades just a touch.

Thrown with a huge hyzer flip the thing will sail straight for a long time before barely fading out.

I can also get the orbital to roll the way I see pros do it on youtube. The beauty of it is that you don't really have to throw it at a huge anny angle because this thing will turn and hit and roll with a normal power throw.

I'm super happy to have this in my bag especially for those huge anny shots that are too far for my forehand throw.

The neutron plastic seems to work perfect for this disc. Sometimes I don't like the neutrom plastic because it feels a bit stiff, but in my orbital it feels perfect.

Bought this disc used at my local disc shop in hopes of replacing a beat up Gstar Beast that had turn for days with no fade when thrown hard.  Bingo. Done. This disc flies exactly like it with less power. I would say the flight numbers are spot on, maybe with less fade. Throwing it too hard will make it crash. If you need a  long, left turning disc in your bag, get this disc. I already loved the MVP/Axom putter line up, maybe I should try out the mid and driver lineup as well.

I was hoping I would be able to bomb this disc but was sadly disappointed.

I'm very new to the game and this disc is just too much for me at this point. I'm much better of with my Monarch, Sidewinder or Roadrunner because I dont have the form or arm speed yet.

This disc will keep me going till one day when I can use it effectively...

if you dont have a bomber arm this disc can help you stretch out some drives if you have the room to get a big s turn flight going.  its my current favorite driver i can put a tiny bit of hyzer and bomb it around 3 80 consistently with pretty good accuracy or it flys on a distance anny pretty good but will fade out if you get to much air under it when i put all i have into it with a flat release for me it flys left hard  for most of its flight but wont roll and will fade soft as it slows when i do throw it on a roller it does just fine.

I'm not sure why anyone would rate this disc as poorly as they have. Yes, the disc turns and burns, that's its whole claim to fame!

This is a textbook utility disc. Throw it on a steep hyzer RHBH (and I do mean steep, as in darn near vertical) and it will turn, come up flat, and even keep going to the right at little if you throw it hard enough. If your flick isn't strong, just throw this baby flat or with a tiny anhyzer and low power and it will sail out of a back hand as if you'd thrown it forehanded.

For instance, there was one shot just a few days ago that called for a forehanded anhyzer with an overstable disc; I wanted it to carry to the left while flexing out of the anhyzer before fading to the right. Instead, I threw the orbital at about a -75 degree angle (If flat is a 0 degree angle and turning it to the left is considered negative) with about 80 percent power. The disc flipped up, carried straight, and then turned over just a little (about 15-30 degrees) and kept sailing as if I'd forehanded it -- basically no fade.

It will roll decently, but I find that the rim is a little too thin for this if you've got any grass thickness at all.

    My favorite roller!

This is an extremely underrated (and understable) disc! I can certainly see why it gets dismissed a lot. It's one of the flippiest discs out there and difficult to get a traditional flight out of if you have a remotely fast arm speed. However, the Orbital can fit in almost anyone's bag if their using it specifically and with a plan.

For newer players, this is going to be a very glidey disc that their slower arms can actually flip up straight and get a nice little fade from. It's a touch faster than I would usually recommend a new player to use, but most can get away with it and find some nice flights for a fun experience.

For intermediate and experienced players, it's going to be a great anny disc for big turnovers, get out of trouble situations, and (my personal reason for bagging it) the easiest rollers you'll ever throw with a brand new disc. It takes a bit of messing around to figure out this disc's pattern for being a good roller, but once you dial in how you can throw them out and stand them up, you'll be surprised at just how easy it is to control and great roller from it. In fact, you'll probably find several different ways of getting this disc to roll well for you. My favorite is low ceiling rollers where I can just rip on it low and dead straight with a hyzer, and then just watch it flip all the way over and hit a good 50 degree angle for a long roll with a finish to the right.

The best part of using the Orbital as a roller is that if you lose it, you don't have to beat in another disc for the spot. Just buy a new one and you're set!

I am very happy with this purchase. My Orbital performs exactly as intended. It is a very understable driver suitable for rollers, downhill turnover shots, and hyzer flips with a strong tailwind. I would recommend the Orbital to any experienced backhand player with noodlearm to average power.

SUPER UNDERSTABLE.  I don't throw this much but when I need it, it comes in handy.  I use it on my local course on a hole that is a super hard right.  I can flick something around but I just cant get the distance I can when I backhand this disc.  It's a good utility disc when you need it but not something I would expect anyone to throw very often.

A real unique disk for me.    The orbital can be hyzer flipped at an extreme angle flip to flat  carry straight to 300+ feet and fade right all the way to the ground.  In short I can throw backhand and consistently mimic a long forehand drive with this disk.  One catch, If its windy forget about it and take the par.

This is a great disk it does exactly what it says it's suppose to.  Throwing into head wind or with the wind this thing turns over just like it should.  I use it for rollers and high anhyzer shots.  It's turn is very consistant and very predictable.  If you are looking for an understable driver I would recommend this one.

My 153g Wave was very flippy and difficult to throw consistently, and I had heard stories of how understable the Orbital was... that it would turn over, become a roller (intended or not), and all that.  So when I got an Orbital I went for a near-max-weight 173g.

After working with the Oribtal for some time, I've found that even a max weight Orbital is flippy, turns over hard and often becomes an unintended roller.  Even with my noodle arms, the Orbital is too easy to overpower on a full-power throw, and even in tailwinds I would see it "turn and burn" or become an unwanted (cut) roller that damaged my score.

Some may fnd the Oribtal to be okay for (intentional) rollers, but I don't have any use for it.  I'll stick with the Wave.

Update 5/20/18: I found a good use for the Orbital:  it is a very good roller disc. Throw it down right, and it will be a fast, long-distance roller even on uphill throws.

ok, let me start by saying this is a very unique disc. i have been testing this disc out over the last couple of days and i have had some amazing throws with it and i have had some really bad throws with it as well. the orbitol seems to prefer a flat release rather than a hyzer flip. it was when i tryed to hyzer flip it that it turned over hard and fell out of the sky like a wounded duck, ugliest thing i have ever seen.  thrown flat i was getting some lazer beam straight drives in the 320 to 370 ft range. i have not yet really cranked on it, mostly because i see how this thing could easily turn hard and get away from you.  i tend to struggle on up hill drives and this disc was adding about 25 ft to those really steep hills i struggle to get distance on. one more thing is the orbitol has the sharpest edge of any disc i have ever seen but feels pretty awesome in hand. kind of a touchy disc not for beginners.

For my throwing power, MVP has never made any thing that is really understable -- until the Orbital. Some MVP/Axiom discs are slightly understable, and provide good distance, but my 163g Orbital is Crazy understable. With a hyzer relase at 4,500 altitude, this disc will completely flip over and turn to the right without fading back at all on me. The only disc this fast and this understable that I've thrown is the Vibram unLace.

Although I am a big MVP fan, I just don't like the feel of the Orbital. The low parting line height and shape of the rim of this disc a pretty substantial dome where I grip which effected my release position and caused me to consistently throw the Orbital into the ground. Witht he hard Neutron plastic, I also found this disc to be pretty sharp and not very comfortable.

While this disc is not for me, I can see how it is an amazing disc for new disc golfers and young players without as much speed and snap. It also makes a great driver for turnover throws that you don't want to come back. If I had to choose a crazy understable high speed driver, I would probably choose the unLace over the orbital due to it being softer and more comfortable. For MVP fans, this is a fun disc to throw and will provide a flight unlike anything else MVP currently makes.

Highly recommend a 150 class Orbital for advanced to beginner as a distance driver.  Controllable in my large hand and med arm. Great Neutron plastic feel with slight give. The rim grip is natural with good release. Flies as far as my 150g Mamba Starlite (my best disc before now) with a narrower path. Not for wind just as all understable discs.

Placed in my bag after first throw.
