The Penny Putter is not only a great putting putter, but also a great putter for throwing off the tee. It has a neutral, straight flight with a nice finish at the end. The Bravo plastic is a little more overstable than the Victor plastics. It is a beadless putter with a nice rounded rim.

I love this disc for shots off the tee.  It flies dead straight for me, up to 280ft and will hold any line you put it on.

I really like the penny putter. In the alpha plastic it flies very similar to an Aviar with plastic that i think feels better. On a slight hyzer it pops up to flats, glides for days, and then has a small finish to it's flight. I use the penny in V1 as my understable thrower. I can throw it on a steep hyzer and it slowly works all the over to finish to the right. The alpha plastic seems super durable. If you're looking for a new driving putter give honest Abe a shot!

    Disc - 172 Alpha Penny

Feel - The penny is one of the best feeling putters on the market. I would compare it most closely to the Luna or the Roach from discraft. It has a very rounded feel in the hand and is beadless. It is not too deep at all.

Flight - The penny is one of the straightest putters I have ever thrown. It holds any line it is put on and will ride that line for a long time. The penny in all the different premium plastics flies very similarly although brand new they may have the slightest bit of fade at the end of its flight. The penny has an incredible amount of glide and handles nearly all the power I can give it.

Overall - The penny putter is the best disc in the lone star lineup. It is a straight putter that gets nearly midrange distance and allows me to throw hyzers, straight shots, anhyzers, all with one disc. I will also post another review on the penny in base plastics as it does change quite a bit in flight in V1 or V2.

The controllable slightly understable putter slot in my bag had always been a tough spot to fill. I wanted something that wouldn't burn over with torque, had tons of glide, and felt great in the hand. The Lone Star Discs Penny Putter in Alpha plastic checked all those boxes right out of the box.

Alpha is a stiffer plastic with a little give, similar I'd say to Lat 64 Fusion X plastic and a little stiffer than Innova Star but with more grip.

The rim profile and depth felt very comfortable in my smaller hands and I was able to get a very clean release. This disc loves to glide, especially if given enough height to do so, and bombs out of the hand. It approaches on distances I usually throw powered down midranges on. Great for soft turnovers, woods lines, hyzer flips, approach shots. Just a great product all around as a throwing putter.

I will however suggest to use Victor 1 or Victor 2 plastic for putting (and there is a noticeable difference in flight characteristics between the base line Victor plastics and the premium Alpha, Bravo, and Glow plastics as the base plastics are considerably more understable)
