The Lonestar Nimitz is a stable to overstable disc golf driver. Named after the Fredericksburg native Chester Nimitz, the Nimitz is a disc that fits perfectly between the Curl and Warbird. This Distance Driver from Lone Star Disc has a slight turn and finishes with a reliable fade at the end of its flight. It can handle the power of experienced throwers, yet is not too fast for most players.

First time I ever threw this disc was parked for an easy birdie on a hole I've never birdied. Since then I've beaten this thing and still flys like a dream! Great for someone working their arm speed up. I can get big long throws as well as straight low throws. Definitely recommend when you want to move up in speed

    Disc - 175 Alpha Nimitz

Feel - The Nimitz has a bit of an interesting feel in the hand. It has a less beveled bottom edge of the wing and more of an angled shape. It does not make the disc uncomfortable by any means but definitely has a different feel than the Innova equivalent wraith.

Flight - The nimitz is one of my favorite discs that lone star has put out. The plastic that you get this disc in matters a ton I feel as the stability (from my experience!!!) goes bravo most stable, glow, and then alpha least stable. I have thrown 1 bravo and one glow, and 3 alphas. The shape also matters a lot when determining stability of this disc. Generally, the more dome they have makes them more stable. If you like a slightly beat in wraith, go for an alpha nimitz, if you like a stable wraith, go for a bravo. I really think many people should enjoy this disc.

Overall - The nimitz is a great offering from lone star with a good mix of speed and control. It is one of the straightest distance drivers I have thrown and would recommened to many players above beginner skill level.

Nimitz is a good a good disc for intermediate to advanced players who are looking for a nice hyzer flip to slight turn. It is not as over stable as the numbers would lead you to believe. This disc flies like a very beat in wraith. Big arms will get a bit of turn when thrown hard and flat. I would recommend the Nimitz for intermediate and advanced players.

Lone Star Killed it with this one. What does it fly like? Those of you who like a trusty slightly beat in Wraith will love this disc. The other disc I would kind of compare it to is a Trespass. I know that the Trespass is a tick faster but the Nimitz is capable of dropping waves of bombs on the course. Pun intended. If you throw around 400 feet consistently (not internet distance) you will get the full flight out of the disc. You will see that turn but it fights back. If you throw 300 feet this disc will have a lot more stability for you. So, if you have moderate arm speed but don't throw like King Kong this disc is going to be a go-to-distance driver for you. I highly recommend it.
