The Curl is a distance driver from Texas-based Lone Star Disc. At speed 11, many will find the Curl to be the perfect distance driver with high glide. It flips up faster than the Bowie and has a softer stable finish. It fits nicely between the high-speed Bowie and the speed-9 Mad Cat. It's flight has been compared to the Innova Wraith.

This is what I always thought a Wraith should be. Don't use it in a headwind, but I'm still conditions or a tailwind, this disc bombs. The turn is definitely there, with a reliable fade and skip. In my experience Bravo, even though it seems flatter, tends to be flippier, where Alpha and Founders are more stable.

The Curl is my farthest flying disc. Lots of early-flight turn, but with some integrity at the end, the Curl absolutely bombs. In my experience, it is most overstable in Alpha plastic, and considerably flippier in the the Bravo blend. I currently bag three, and I love them for my farthest-flying shots and distance rollers.

The Curl should be an instant bagger for anyone that wants a gentle right to left disc ! It flys stable with a slight fade at the end !

This is the disc of discs for me right now!  Let me start by saying I have it in all of the plastics, all fly amazing and will get you distance that you thought wasn't there.

Alpha, Bravo, and Glow are great for advanced players to beginners.  With faster arm speeds you get a great flip up and straight drive.  Slower arm speeds treats you to it stability and an easy fade.

Lima plastic is great for beginners due to the lightweight and feel of the plastic.  You will get amazing distance with good form.  I got my 8 yr old one and he is now reaching 200+ on his drives.  I've got a Lima in my bag currently because the plastic has good grab on it's ground play.

Overall you can't go wrong with this disc and I try and put it in everyones hand to try atleast once.

Very glidey, straight flying distance driver. Can fly about as far as an Innova wraith, but it is not quite as stable as a wraith. It also has a much shallower rim. I found it difficult to forehand this disc without releasing it early. Fun disc to throw backhand though and the plastic is very nice

Buy this disc if you want extra distance!! This disc changed my driving game overnight. I was driving 300+ consistently and instantly started throwing 360+ with my curl all day. It does the most beautiful flex but I'm never worried about it not fading back. It isn't too flippy and will only turn all the way over if I throw hard into a headwind and low. If I give it height, it will fade back. Amazing disc and my go to distance driver. #1 in my bag. No single disc has ever had me so in love

Love the Lone Star Discs plastic! Just for those who are not familiar, The Alpha plastic flies closer to the flight numbers, the Bravo plastic is a little more stable, and the glow plastic flies just like the Bravo plastic.

Now as far as the Curl goes, this is a fun driver to throw. In the Alpha plastic I would say it is a little flippier than the numbers suggest. This makes it a good choice for beginners who are just starting to delve into distance drivers. Probably wont flip for those just starting, but will have a nice forward and consistent fade for you. As you gain arm speed, you will find a disc that will fly straight with a nice smooth S-Curve.

Feels really good in the hand. Very comfortable grip. It flies much more understable than the numbers suggest. Mine is an alpha plastic which has a good amount of grip to it, but not too much. Mine is as understable as a D4 or a Fission Wave. Super understable. I cannot use it for forehand because it turns and burns. Disc still is very usable though. You can get easy distance with it. The glide rating is accurate as this disc will stay in the air forever. Just need to release on a bit steeper hyzer than most other understable discs and watch it flip up and turn for a good way then fade out the very end of the flight. I will give it 5 stars because it is a great disc, however, the flight numbers are not accurate at all that are being shown from the manufacturer.

This is my favorite distance driver! When I first got it I was unsure because it was flippy for me but the more I used it became my max distance driver! I now get easy distance with it! Love this disc and the lone star plastic!

My BOMBER disc in calm winds or a tailwind.  My furthest throw recorded (525ft) was made with this one.  In my experience, the Curl is a neutral to understable flyer.  Thrown flat it flies with the traditional S line as it fights back at the end.  Throw with a touch of hyzer and it flips up nicely and laser beams toward the target. With the neutral flight, I've even been able to use it as a turnover and roller disc too.  The Curl can do it all!

Great disc overall. Will hold any line you put on, and is great for hyzerflips/flexshots. Has taken a while to really beat my Curl in, but it has gotten better with each passing round. Personally, I prefer it for flex forehands but it will do anybody justice at any skill level.

To put more perspective on it, I really find a lot of similarities between the Curl and last year's Gurthie Wraiths. Can be a little beefy at first, but will beat in fantastically.

Tried the champion-like version of this disc. New it flew kind of like my new starwraith. Good disc. Not going in my bag just because I have others I have grown in comfort with but it doesn't mean you shouldn't!
