The Bohrium is designed to be a maximum distance driver that is slightly over stable with a lot of speed.

The disc has a rounded rim to improve grip and reduce drag, while maintaining a significant amount of lift.

Alpha-Solid is Loft's premium plastic. This plastic feels wonderful in the hand, with just enough flex for a comfortable grip. It feels quite similar to Kastaplast's K1 plastic, with just a little less grip.

I bought the disc on a whim, remembering watching a few DG channels on youtube review it back in the day. I figured to give it a shot.

I love this thing. I don't know why but the rounded rim isn't that bad to me. As long as your hands aren't sweaty (or you don't have a grip bag/rosin/chalk etc...) it doesn't slip out early. The plastic feels great.

The flight is interesting. I figured with my speed, itd be a straight to heavy overstable flight. I throw 400 pretty consistently now, after pushing 450-500, after a back injury made me change how I threw a bit (think going from a simon/eagle throw to a more stand up release with less torque on the lower back). I figured it'd have a slight turn and heavy dump. I was wrong, the first throw i got a good snap and it flipped up like my Hades, drifted right slightly pushing forward, with a very late fade. Doing field drills, I was averaging 425-450 pretty consistently.

It reminds me of an old Ballista Pro that was extremely beat in, but without the super-wide rim that didn't feel great. Bought another one just to test how the flight compared and it flew slightly more understable but similar enough.

Forehands is another issue, the usual power grip for me doesn't work. I've found that I can chuck it with a one-finger flick pretty well and it holds the initial torque pretty well before the heavy fade kicks in. Useful on a few holes around where I live but I'll stick to other FH discs.

So this disc is weird....I have had three of them, and all three fly completely different. All three were Alpha-solid 170g

The first one I received flew like my old havoc, Flippy but controlable.

My second one I received, flew like my Tombstone. Straight meathook, regardless of how you release it.

My third one was somewhere in between....

The feel of the disc is nice, I kind of like the rounded rim, Takes some getting use to, but once you do it is fantastic.

On a side note, This plastic is FANTASTIC for dyes. Absorbs and eats the Dye like a fat kid at a candy store!

This is a really interesting driver, the super rounded rim makes for low drag and lots of glide. Started off pretty stable and great for distance shots, beat it a little or in a headwind this can be very touchy.

Really cool disc design. I wouldn't mind having one of these just for show. However, the rounded edge on the grip really messes with my release point, the disc feels like it's gonna slide out early. The flight was also difficult to predict, when it flipped over it didn't want to come back, but if you didn't get enough zip on it the disc acted like a meathook. After watching my friends throw bad shot, after bad shot. after bad shot with this disc i decided not to get one myself. If i had more time to just goof off though I'd consider getting one just for fun.

I did a full video review of this disc, and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, it turns FAR MORE than its numbers suggest. In a headwind, it's a liability to even newer players. Downwind, it can be a bomber, but it seems like once the disc gets to a certain angle, it just falls out of the sky. It can become an accidental roller surprisingly easily.

This is one of the most unique disc golf drivers I have ever felt. The bottom inner rim edge is more rounded than anything else in disc golf.

After feeling it, I was sure that this disc would just slip right out of my hand when attempting to throw it, but after actually trying it, I didn't have any grip issues with either backhand or forehand throws.

While the Bohrium might be the fastest farthest flying driver for some people, it definitely is not for me. It's just too fast and too overstable for my arm speed. I can only get about 300 feet of hyzer immediately after release distance with this disc.  It might be useful in windy conditions but I don't see it doing anyting that other overstable high speed drivers can't do.

It's fun to try different discs and the Loft Discs Borium is definitely different. If you're looking for a really comfortable driver in a great feeling plastic, try the Loft Borium. If you can't throw high speed overstable stuff already, then this disc is not for you.

First Impressions: Just received the disc today and have only gotten about 6 throws with it. The rim is quite wide as a proper 14 speed should be. The rounded rim makes it possible for my small hands to get a hood hold of it though. So far I haven't seen any increase to my distance. I even out drove it with my Blizzard Beast. Though I hit a better line with that. The Borhium is a bit too overstable for my arm speed at least to get that nice S curve. Overall: I love the rounded rim it makes it much more comfortable for me and it doesn't hurt like some of my other disc's when it rips out of my hand. The glide is quite impressive for how flat the top is, not at all a dome. It's going in my bag for a super consistent overstable driver.

I can't really decide between 3 or 4 stars. This disc is pretty good BUT it's numbers are probably some of the most inaccurate numbers I have ever come across on a disc. To start with, 14 speed is a huge exaggeration, more like a 12. The glide is pretty accurate, this disc does love to stay up. The turn is the most inaccurate part of this disc. -1 is such a joke, -3 on my 169g and -3 or -2 on my 175g. This disc flies much more like a Shryke or a Hades than it does like a faster Destroyer. When I rip a (new) Destroyer I can barely get a hint of turn out of it. One would think that a 14 speed disc with the same turn and fade would be even harder to flip, that's not even close to the case.

What i will say on a positive note about this disc is that the rounded underside of this rim is amazing. I love the feel in the hand, I wish ALL my discs felt like this.

Also, this disc does love to go, It's a hyzer-flip machine. I can throw this as far as my furthest distance drivers (Zeus, DDx, Rask-Z, Pharaoh, Hades).

It's a good disc for hyzer-flips and turn-overs but i was hoping for more stability. It's very comfortable and unique. It's a good distance ripper.

    Hi All,

I am an intermediate player that throws consistently between 300 - 350ft and plays 2 - 4 times per week casually.  I also have smaller hands, which cause me to stay away from anything over 11 speed.

Summary: Bohrium is an excellent glidey and flippy distance driver that makes you feel like Garrett Gurthie even if you lack his power.  It feels really nice in the hand and I did not notice any change in accuracy.  Would recommend picking one up.

Plastic:  the Alpha plastic is really nice. Feels pretty gummy.  I think the closest would be prodigy 400G.  The disc isn't very stiff, but still feels durable.  Nice shine on the plastic. Overall It is one of my favorite plastics so far.

Flight: I got two bohriums (lighter and heavier) founders edition. The heavier is slightly more overstable, but you can get a nice flip up to flat.  The lighter is more understandable and you can do aggressive hyzer flips with it or shape the shot.  This disc really awards nose-down throws as it will glide forever!  The flight path is very similar to my slightly beat in fuzon DD tresspass.  Like I said in the summary I feel like Double G bombing a star wraith 500ft (similar flight to his), even if it only goes 350-380ft for me.

This is in the bag to stay for my long drives.  It really has consistently unlocked an extra 20-40 ft of distance for me.
