This might still be a bit fast/stable for true beginners, but if they're fairly athletic and aren't afraid to try throwing hard, this will still work for them. I did field work with it comparing it with similar discs I have (7 & 9 speeds but all other flight numbers are the same), and it was right in the thick of things with the others in terms of distance & flight shape, so the numbers seem to be valid: it gives a pretty straight flight with more or less turn/fade depending on the throw's power and whether going with or into any wind. However, I never had it get too overstable with the wind nor too understable into the wind, so nice to have the consistency of a narrower range of flight patterns when thrown the same way. I really like the Pinnacle plastic: It seems like another Champion-type plastic grade that feels good and releases cleanly for me; hopefully it will have the same great durability of the other discs I have in these grades of plastic. The bright, translucent blue of this particular disc with gold stamping helps to catch the light well, too, making it easier to spot.

Long, stable, grippy, little turn, little fade, what more can you ask fer? I find myself using it more than my Rival. Longer, more shapeable, just as reliable. Won't turn and burn on ya, especially in high weights. I give this 10/10 Dudes.

The first run pinnacle phenoms are pretty domey and want to glide a very long way. Great disc for wooded shots that need to turn without much effort. Mine has seasoned up a bit and is pretty flippy now, but even brand new I wouldn't throw this into a headwind. Great tailwind disc with a rival type flight. Highly recommended.

Very Happy with the Pinnacle Phenom.  It is a little more stable than the icon which gives it the more trusty feel it needed. Love the feel of the pinnacle.  hyzer flips nicely for long straight shot. Can throw mostly flat with a little turn before fading back or thrown hard for a long controlled turning shot. Longer patriot but is still more useful on some different shots especially a long turning throw.  Also on mostly flat elevation it hyzer flipped pretty well and went mostly straight into a decent head wind.  I could tell if i really cranked it though it would have turned off more from the wind.  Over all its in the bag and i feel improved from the icon.  The icon never made it in the bag permanently and was more of a guest star every now and then depending the course.  The pinnacle has a permanent slot for now until they come out with something new that is better. It would be nice if they came out with a similar disc with 10 to 12 speed rim.
